Moved response to my board.
Failure Swings
Wilder also considered failure swings as strong indications of an impending reversal. Failure swings are independent of price action. In other words, failure swings focus solely on RSI for signals and ignore the concept of divergences.
A bullish failure swing forms when RSI moves below 30 (oversold), bounces above 30, pulls back, holds above 30 and then breaks its prior high. It is basically a move to oversold levels and then a higher low above oversold levels.
A bearish failure swing forms when RSI moves above 70, pulls back, bounces, fails to exceed 70 and then breaks its prior low. It is basically a move to overbought levels and then a lower high below overbought levels.
Making this study public.
WHY ?
To share.
To get comments and feed back.
So where is the study now ?
(1) Trying to compare SR_60 with SR2RC_60
(2) SR_60 has 5.96% gain since 7/3/13
(3) SR2RC_60 has only 5.31 % gain since 7/3/13
(4) SR2RC_60 does not require a IWM_3 chart.
(5) Please do not conclude any thing yet.
WHY ?
Much back testing remains to be done. IMHO.
This board is only about SR_60 SYSTEM created by Duma.
It is a very good system. IMHO
The purpose of this board is to fully under stand SR_60
under one board.
Duma as been added as a moderator, but he may later decline
this offer.
Since I am not the creator of SR_60, but an outsider looking in so to speak.
This gives me the chance to discuss my under standing of SR_60.
Hopefully this will help other outsiders in under standing this
very good SR_60 system.
