They won't respond because they can't. They're in the quiet period. I'm sure that short research firm knew that when they wrote the report. Also, there is no doubt leaks came out before the report. That's why the trading was so wacky!
Trades very strangely.Buyout would be nice but I don't think now is the time.Overcapacity at most of the big carriers would probably lead to a fire sale.Lack of insider buying at these prices is a little disappointing.I have been trading it up and down for the past year.Plenty of movement if you have a supply of Dramamine to use.Good Luck to you Fred.Onward and Upward
I know truckload industry overall has been very weak in March, but CGI has been hurt much more. The stock has been acting like it's almost going out of business. I thought the accounting issues were behind it. Maybe not. Someone just needs to acquire them and put them out of their misery.
$6.55 looks like a gift, but no one buying. Anyone have anything on why? Obviously, trucking stocks in general have been weak, but nothing like CGI! Would love to see management/board do some insider buying. Why wouldn't they??
Agree with Alyssa! Tremendous leverage. Could be $20++ in 12-18 mo. They're ramping up with new hires. My only worry is someone takes them out at $12 or some ridiculous price...very little insider ownership.
Additionally, Covenant Transportation Group released lower than expected guidance which sent all trucking stocks tumbling.
Taking Celadon's numbers at face value, I had previously come up with a $12-18 fair value range, but I haven't had the time to investigate the supposed accounting irregularities.
I have looked into the CSA scores issue, and it is not anything to be worried about yet. They just crossed the thresholds, but there are carriers who have been above those thresholds almost continuously since 2010. As long as they don't completely blow off the fmcsa, their chances of getting an "unsatisfactory" rating are almost zero.
