I don't think it was CSBI that went BK. This is what I was told...
http://www.investorshub.com/boards/read_msg.asp?message_id=11166032
I took some Godzilla (lol) off the table recently to roll some profits into some oil plays to leverage off them.
Dream, is this co. still alive? I watched it change from Gensing Forest to CSBI and then bleed from like $5 down to a buck or so -- and took it off my watch list -- didn't they file BK? I would like to get updated.
Also, you still holding Godzilla?
I don't know about that one. That would be a good question for John.
I see that they settled a lawsuit recently but it doesn't look like that one. CSBI has also filed one recently.
See the 2 PRs. post 12 and 14
I was into CSBI a couple of years ago. I bailed when they announced that they were being sued for patent infringement. (Something about Steve McQueen's Shelby in the movie Bullitt) Did it ever get settled?
TIA.
You just had to throw that up there. I didn't know they bumped it up another 25 horses. I believe there is a convertible too but haven't seen it yet. Have you seen a price yet? I just want 1...
Now THAT would be nice! :)

Eric Carr, American’s Vice President of Marketing, announced production of the Shelby® Razor and the AR427 Shelby® Cobra® , slated for release to the U.S. aftermarket in April.
“American Racing is celebrating it’s 50th Anniversary, so we teamed up with Carroll and his group to offer an exciting selection of purpose-designed wheels for specific performance applications,” Carr stated, “Shelby enthusiasts will be excited about both designs—the AR427 is nostalgic and traditional with many fitment choices, and the Shelby® Razor is definitely a zoomy modern muscle look for the new Ford® Mustang owner.”

“Our wheel project with American Racing is a perfect fit,” said Shelby, “every American muscle enthusiast should be excited--stay tuned, we have some real surprises in store for the hardcore collector, as well as the daily driver.”

Thanks Dream! I just e-mailed him and we'll see what he has to say. I've always been a huge Shelby fan and have been looking at the new 2007 Shelby Mustang that comes out sometime this summer. Maybe CSBI will pay for my Stang! Now that would be cool! GLTA
Yes and it's niiiiiice.
Can anyone see this picture?
Carroll does make some pretty cars.............wow!!
I was told they had some troubling times back then and that's the reason for them dropping off the BB. They needed all the money they had or could get so the filing costs had to be cut. They were dealing with some company (forget the name) a while back that had a commitment to make X amount of Shelbys. That company went bankrupt so shelby had to finish the job themselves because they wanted to protect the Shelby name. This is what put a strain on the company.
They haven't filed anything since 2004 and the stock info. on the web does need updated.
The reason that I got in CSBI is because John told me that things are turning around quickly for the company and the stock price is still low.
John would be much better at answering questions than I so if anyone is interested I suggest giving him a call. He's a very nice guy. The companys phone number is in the IBOX
Looks like they have some work to do. Websites still show NASDAQ OTCBB Listing with the main CSBI website showing the current stock price at $4.85. So..I assume they lost their listing and dropped to the pink sheets in the last 2 years or so. Have they filed anything since 2004? Do they have a TA? Curious to see what others find out. GLTA
looks like this has some nice potential, is that car on you signature a shelby also? ~Rig
lol. I just think that is undiscovered and that's the only reason it's trading down here. Do an IHUB search or search anywhere else for that matter.
From what John Luft (prez)told me. They went through some reorganization toward the end of last year and things are really coming together now.
Now is the time to take a position imo.
So....what do you think about CSBI???? Is it a good stock?
Shelby Automobiles Begins Production on New Shelby GT-H at its Las Vegas Facility
MONDAY, APRIL 17, 2006 8:34 PM
- PR Newswire
LAS VEGAS, April 17, 2006 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- On the 42nd birthday of the Ford Mustang (introduced on April 17, 1964), Carroll Shelby International, Inc's (CSBI) wholly owned subsidiary Shelby Automobiles, Inc. announced today the start of production of the new Shelby GT-H at its Las Vegas production facility. The Shelby GT-H was recently unveiled to press on April 12th at the media days at the New York International Auto Show and received rave reviews from the crowd with anticipation building for their introduction to the rental market later this year.
Forty years ago, Ford Motor Company, Carroll Shelby and The Hertz Corporation came up with an ingenious program to help get high-performance, special-edition Ford Mustangs into the hands of rental customers who also happened to be car enthusiasts. Today, the story of Shelby's 1966 GT350 Hertz "Rent-a-Racer" program is legendary.
To connect that car's magical past with the modern capabilities of the new Ford Mustang, Ford, Shelby and Hertz have again teamed up to offer the 2006 Shelby GT-H -- a hot, new performance Mustang that will be available only to Hertz rental customers beginning later this year.
Like the original "Rent-a-Racer," the Shelby GT-H will be instantly recognizable with its Black-and-Gold Hertz exterior paint-and-stripes theme, Shelby Automobiles performance hood, and other exterior styling enhancements, including a special front fascia and side scoops. Each Shelby GT-H will also wear unique emblems and feature a numbered dash badge with Carroll Shelby's signature.
"The Ford Shelby GT-H is going to be a unique rental experience for some lucky drivers," said Carroll Shelby, CEO of Shelby Automobiles, Inc. "We are excited to produce these cars at our Las Vegas production facility which will ensure the Shelby GT-Hs have all of the performance capabilities our fans expect from a Shelby Mustang."
To add a genuine Ford performance kick, the Shelby Team has raided the Ford Racing Performance Parts closet to add some additional adrenaline to the already strong Mustang GT. The car's 4.6L V-8/Automatic powertrain gets a Ford Racing Performance Power Pack, including a 90mm Cold Air kit, the Muffler Kit and the special Ford Racing engine calibration. And to put that extra power to the ground, Ford Racing Performance Parts also supplies its Handling Pack, including special dampers, lowering springs, sway bars and strut tower brace -- even a Ford Racing 3.55:1 ratio rear axle assembly. These modifications increase the overall horsepower to 325 and torque to 330 ft lbs, a 25 HP and 10 ft lb increase respectively.
With production expected to number only around 500 units in Hertz rental fleets across the country, this special edition Ford Shelby GT-H is sure to give Hertz customers a truly exclusive driving experience like only Shelby and the Ford Mustang can deliver.

FORD, SHELBY, HERTZ TEAM UP ON SPECIAL SHELBY GT-H
NEW YORK, Wed., April 12, 2006 – In a throwback to the famed Shelby GT350H “Rent-A-Racer” program from the 1960s, Ford Motor Company, Shelby Automobiles and The Hertz Corporation are partnering to produce a special run of performance-modified Ford Mustang GTs – designated Shelby GT-H, for “Hertz” – that will be available for rent later this spring exclusively through Hertz. Approximately 500 units will be available through the Hertz Fun Collection at select airport locations in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii and Nevada.
Forty years ago, Carroll Shelby and The Hertz Corporation came up with an ingenious plan to help get a batch of high-performance, special-edition Shelby Mustangs into the hands of rental customers who also happened to be car enthusiasts. Ford supplied the new Mustangs with V-8 engines and mostly automatic transmissions, Shelby added extra performance and style, and Hertz gave the public access to the kind of unique driving experience that one would normally only find on a racetrack. Today, the story of the Shelby/Hertz “Rent-A-Racer” is legendary and surviving Shelby GT350H Mustangs are among the most sought-after collector cars in the world. To connect the magical past of the original Shelby GT350H with the modern capabilities of the new Ford Mustang, Shelby, Ford and Hertz have again teamed up, and – together with the Ford Racing Performance Group – have given the 2006 Ford Shelby GT-H a very classic, muscular look as well as some true performance credentials.
“Like the original Hertz cars, the Ford Shelby GT-H will be fun to drive,” said Carroll Shelby, CEO of Shelby Automobiles, Inc. “We started with a terrific Mustang and modified it with some Ford go-fast parts and gave it a distinct look for Shelby-style driving. Whoever gets the opportunity to rent one of these unique cars will get an experience of a lifetime.”
Hertz Fun Collection
Further enhancing its position as a leader at U.S. airports in the leisure car rental market, Hertz launched its Fun Collection in January 2006. Featuring vehicles tailor-made for travelers seeking exciting driving experiences, the Fun Collection adds more entertainment to the driving experience as each car comes equipped with SIRIUS Satellite Radio.
The 2006 Ford Shelby GT-H Mustang will be available at select airport locations that feature the Hertz Fun Collection including Phoenix, Arizona; Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego and San Francisco, California; Denver, Colorado; Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Orlando, Tampa and West Palm Beach, Florida; Maui and Honolulu, Hawaii, and Las Vegas, Nevada. In addition, the car will be available in Boston, Massachusetts.
With the addition of the Ford Shelby GT-H Mustang into the Fun Collection, Hertz now offers 36 models that can be specifically reserved, ranging from mid-size to luxury cars, convertibles to SUVs and is the only nationwide car rental company able to allow customers to reserve the specific make and model vehicles at the time of reservation. More than 8,000 Fun Collection vehicles are available at 18 major airport locations in the United States.
“With 2006 marking the 40th anniversary of the Shelby GT350H joining the Hertz fleet, we’re thrilled to be bringing legendary Mustang driving excitement back to our rental customers,” said Walt Seaman, staff vice president, Worldwide Fleet, Maintenance, and Car Sales Operations for The Hertz Corporation. “The Shelby GT-H is a fun, powerful Mustang to drive, and will be a special part of the Hertz Fun Collection. As all cars in the collection are reserved by exact make and model, customers can rest assured that when they reserve a Shelby GT-H Mustang to drive, they will receive the Shelby GT-H Mustang upon arrival.”
Extra “Show”
Like its predecessor, the 2006 Ford Shelby GT-H will be instantly recognizable – thanks to several eye-catching styling enhancements that are so much a part of the Shelby Mustang heritage. First and foremost, each Shelby GT-H will wear Black exterior paint set off with Gold racing stripes, a hallmark of Hertz’s vehicle history dating all the way back to the 1920s.
While it’s true that the Shelby GT350H was eventually made available in other color combinations, the Black-and-Gold combo is often referred to as “Hertz colors” by most Mustang aficionados. Shelby’s traditional “Le Mans” dual overbody racing stripes are combined with a set of rocker stripes that include special “Shelby GT-H” nomenclature. Each car will also wear a Hertz Edition emblem on the front fenders, and feature Hertz Shelby GT-H sill plates and a numbered dash badge with Carroll Shelby’s signature inside the cockpit.
To give a hint of the Mustang GT 4.6-liter 3V V-8 engine’s added capability, the Ford Shelby GT-H is fitted with a custom Shelby Performance hood with pins, and a brushed aluminum grille with running horse emblem. A unique front fascia with integrated lower grille, as well as a set of body side scoops – reminiscent of classic Shelby Mustangs is incorporated for a distinct look. To further catch the enthusiast’s eye, the Mustang GT brakes are dressed up with painted calipers, which can be seen through the GT-H’s 17-inch aluminum wheels wearing P235/55ZR17 performance rubber.
Added “Go”
Ford Racing Performance Group is supplying its popular Power Pack (FR1) to add a genuine 25-horsepower Ford performance kick to the 300-horse Mustang GT 4.6L V-8/Five-speed automatic transmission powertrain and an increase of 10 lb.-ft. of torque. The package includes Ford Racing’s 90mm Cold Air kit, the Muffler Kit, a new X-pipe similar to the one used on the new Ford Shelby GT500 Mustang, a performance calibration and a cat-back performance exhaust for that throaty sound that will make this car unmistakably a Shelby Mustang GT-H.
“Any Mustang that traces its roots to a Shelby GT350H has to boast increased performance and handling over its factory stock configuration,” said Cisco Codina, group vice president, Ford North America Marketing, Sales and Service. “Ford Racing’s involvement with niche performance Mustang builds like this Hertz project is a natural for us as well as for Hertz and Shelby.”
To put that extra horsepower to the ground, the Ford Shelby GT-H also comes with the Ford Racing Handling Pack (FR3) installed, including special-tuned dampers inspired from the FR500C, lowering springs, sway bars and a strut tower brace – plus a Ford Racing 3.55:1 ratio rear axle assembly for extra off-the-line acceleration.
Ford Racing will be working hand-in-hand with engineers and technicians at Shelby Automobile’s assembly facility in Las Vegas during the build-out of the GT-H for delivery to Hertz. With total production expected to number only around 500 units exclusively destined for Hertz rental fleets across the country, this special-edition Ford Shelby GT-H is sure to give Hertz customers a truly exclusive driving experience like only Shelby and the Ford Mustang can deliver.
“This GT-H project has been terrific,” said Amy Boylan, president, Shelby Automobiles Inc. “My team here at Shelby Automobiles is very excited with what we have put together with Ford, and Hertz – a pony that not only has a special look, but can really run, too. Those who get to rent a GT-H in the coming months will have the opportunity to enjoy a car that looks, accelerates, handles and sounds the way a high-performance Shelby-ized Ford Mustang should. It will prove lots of fun for Hertz customers looking for some real driving excitement.”
The Hertz Fun Collection features convertibles including the Ford Mustang, Mazda Miata, Toyota Solara, PT Cruiser and Chrysler Sebring; coupes/roadsters including Ford Mustang (hard-top), PT Cruiser, Chevy HHR and Nissan 350Z; and SUVs such as the Ford Escape XLT Sport, Jeep Wrangler, Nissan Murano and Hummer H3. For Shelby GT-H or other Hertz Fun Collection reservations, or to see which vehicles are available at participating Hertz locations visit www.hertz.com. The Hertz Fun Collection may also be reserved through travel agents or by calling the Hertz toll-free at 1-800-654-3131.

Shelby Files Federal Court Infringement Action Against Wilhelm Motor Works
WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 21, 2005 8:00 PM
- PR Newswire
LOS ANGELES, Dec 21, 2005 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Carroll Shelby International, Inc.'s (CSBI) , wholly owned subsidiary Carroll Shelby Licensing Inc. (CSL) announced today that it has filed an action in the Central District of California, United States Federal Court, seeking preliminary injunction and damages against Wilhelm Motor Works (WMW) for the intentional sale by WMW of unlicensed and unapproved Shelby GT-350C "Continuation" vehicles and products. Carroll Shelby and his licensing company CSL have been left with no alternative other than to seek assistance of the federal courts in stopping this deliberate infringement of Shelby's trademarks.
This action by Shelby is necessary as a result of WMW's breach of a recently executed license between the parties which was terminated in October 2005 based upon willful, deliberate and repeated contractual violations, including the offering for sale (without CSL's knowledge or consent) of previously built "knock-offs" as legitimate and approved Shelby GT-350C "Continuation" vehicles. To protect the Shelby brand and enforce the contract, CSL exercised its right to immediately terminate the license agreement with WMW.
WMW continues to willfully infringe upon Shelby's trademarks by continuing to offer unapproved and unlicensed vehicles and products for sale through online auction websites. This conduct combined with WMW's threat to issue a press release which, in Shelby's opinion, would be misleading as to the true nature of the dispute, has left Shelby with no alternative but to make this matter public through the filing of the federal court action and issuance of this press release.

Federal Judge Dismisses Lawsuit against Shelby and Unique Performance
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 30, 2005 3:14 PM
- BusinessWire
DALLAS, Nov 30, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- United States District Court Judge S. James Otero granted a Summary Judgment on November 15, 2005, bringing an end to the lawsuit filed by Denise Halicki and some of her business entities against Unique Motorcars, the parent company of Unique Performance, Carroll Shelby Licensing, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Carroll Shelby International, Inc. (Pink Sheets:CSBI) and Carroll Shelby. Unique Performance manufactures Shelby continuation G.T.500E and G.T.350SR cars at their state-of-the-art facility in North Texas.
"We're pleased that the court agreed that there was no merit to Ms. Halicki's claims," stated Douglas Hasty, President of Unique Performance. "Everyone on our team is satisfied with the outcome. We'll continue to build genuine Shelby automobiles, as we have for years, without having to divert our attention to the defense of Ms. Halicki's false accusations of wrongdoing."
The lawsuit claimed that Ms. Halicki, not Shelby, owned the trademark for "Eleanor(R)" as well as other trademarks. Judge Otero agreed that none of the claims made by Ms. Halicki against Unique Motorcars, or Shelby, including her claims of copyright and trademark infringement, were supported by the evidence. The Court also agreed that none of her legal theories were supportable and that she has no rights with respect to the automobiles built by Unique under license from Shelby, including the G.T.500E "Eleanor(R)" automobile.
"We feel that we have been vindicated by the court's decision and are glad to have this behind us," said Carroll Shelby, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Shelby Automobiles Inc.
Unique's trial attorney, Danny T. Morin, a partner at Parker Mills & Patel LLP, Los Angeles, Calif., was impressed with the depth of the analysis of Judge Otero's 28 page Order granting Unique Performance's Motion for Summary Judgment in its entirety.
"This is a perfect example of how well our court system can work if you are fortunate enough to have a thorough jurist, " added Mr. Morin. "The Court took the time to analyze and apply the law to the undisputed facts, saving untold hours and dollars on a matter that cried out for dismissal on a summary basis, without the need for trial."
"We never understood how or why Ms. Halicki thought she had legal claims against Shelby or Unique, and we're pleased that Judge Otero has put an end to this," said M. Neil Cummings, Counsel for Carroll Shelby and Carroll Shelby Licensing Inc.

Shelby Automobiles Unveils Shelby CS 6 Mustang Concept Vehicle
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 02, 2005 9:30 AM
- PR Newswire
LAS VEGAS, Nov 02, 2005 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Big block and small block V8 owners of all types may want to take a second look the next time a "V6" Mustang pulls up to the light as Carroll Shelby International Inc's (CSBI) wholly owned subsidiary Shelby Automobiles, Inc. announces the new Shelby CS 6 Mustang concept vehicle. Shelby Automobiles, known for speed and performance through the leadership of legendary racecar driver and Cobra creator Carroll Shelby, will offer a modified V6-engined 2006 Ford Mustang, dubbed the CS 6. Packed with a NOVI-1200 Supercharger from Paxton Automotive Corp., the CS 6 is destined to be the next great sports car from Shelby Automobiles pumping out an incredible 350+ horsepower. The Shelby CS 6 will be introduced at the Vortech/Paxton Booth (#22853-Central Hall) during the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas.
The CS 6 features a Shelby-exclusive Paxton NOVI-1200 Centrifugal Supercharger, unsurpassed in high performance, reliability and quiet operation. The bolt-on NOVI-1200 is based on Paxton's race-proven gear case, helical-cut gears constructed from billet-steel, aerospace-quality high-speed bearings and an air/water charge cooler. The CS 6 will be one of the most powerful supercharger kits for the V6 Mustang available on the market and its 350+ HP is a significant increase over the 210 HP of the stock Mustang and the GT version.
"Shelby Automotive is excited to offer the CS 6 with a focus on balance, performance and affordability," said Amy Boylan, President of Shelby Automobiles. "With the Paxton Supercharger, the suspension modifications and the subtle cosmetic enhancements, the CS 6 will remind enthusiasts of the old GT350 -- fast and strong but light on its feet. There is going to be a lot of excitement from speed aficionados when the CS 6 hits the market."
2005 marks the 40th Anniversary of the Paxton-supercharged Shelby Mustang legacy dating back to the famed GT350 and GT500 programs in the late 1960's. In 1965, Carroll Shelby fitted a prototype Paxton Supercharger to the GT350 starting the Shelby/Paxton relationship. Eleven total Paxton supercharger kits were installed by the Shelby factory and a number of additional kits were sold to customers for retro installation. The CS 6 stands poised to continue the great Shelby/Paxton tradition of producing consummate performance-modified autos.
The Shelby CS 6 is racing-styled in the custom of great Shelby cars from the past but updated to create a unique and modern design. Among the interior and exterior modifications to the CS 6:
* Custom hood
* Custom brakes
* Custom 20" American Racing wheels
* Shelby Automobiles badging
Available in the first part of 2006, the Shelby CS 6 will be sold through Shelby Automobiles Las Vegas headquarters and a national dealer network. Interested buyers can contact Shelby Automobiles at (702) 942-7325 or visit the company's web site at www.shelbyautos.com for more info.
