Yes. The ratio is laid out in the news releases. Somewhere around 3 aurora for each cmed. Billion dollar deal.
So what happens to CMED shares? Are they converted to ACB?
What you think people will do with there CMED shares?
Ah that was the price thanks. Cannimed bought by aurora. Cannimed delists and is absorbed.
Ok so what does that mean exactly? What happens to both companies shares?
You say the price is set in stone, because they paid $44 a share when they were bought?
You are aware they are merging by March 9th with aurora, right? The price here is set in stone due to the buy price.
Only people getting rich here are the insiders, directors ceo cfo. They're dumping shares monthly and cashing in huge.
EPS growth at CMED is below the industry average, and worse, is declining. The most recent EPS was $-1.12, a decrease of -602.08% over the previous year.
Who is buying this garbage? Is it the company? Are insiders buying this to keep it up. When this finally drops its going to drop like Niagara Falls. Don't get why people keep propping this up. Way way overvalued. Soon this has to go to $30 or less. No reason why every other weed stock is being sold off and this one stays at these ridiculous levels.
ACB the parent company went down over 30% off the highs. This should do the same but somehow holds only down 20% from highs. Makes no sense. Also why would anyone buy this at $35 when you can buy ACB at $10.60
Where is the logic. Only thing that makes sense is that people bought at $44-$46 and are being hammered. See u under $30 joke stock
Anybody buying at these prices is mental. This is worth under $20. Seems like people buying here have the Tesla brain dead mentality lol
March should be a super month for sure:)
Agree, next week and maybe following week might get ugly, but March is right after that.
I think they are getting primed for a lot of demand, and you are correct Weed is another good one due to their ability to create the product. GLTU IMO
MJ grows like a weed Jackie
Agreed it's hard to say right now with all of em them getting pumped.
I don't think we've seen the bottom yet on a lot of these weed stocks.
Ya I watched it. Looks great but until they're pumping out plants I can't see how goes much higher this can go. This delay of the legalization also hurt most weed stocks recently.
I agree, Aurora is the better buy based on price anyways.
Anyways gl going forward. I see this going below $30 next week. I'll close my SH position then and see.
Have a high weekend :)
Weed seems to be down $1.40 also...maybe their footing is just as vulnerable to the market as their competitors, eh?
CMED already have a large client base of... medical patients. Aurora and CMED combined are going to be huge. Aurora pps is more inviting. Did you watch the clip? It really gives you a clear account of how large they are right now.
https://globalnews.ca/news/4007818/aurora-cannabis-edmonton-headquarters-marijuana/
That's great. Problem is it's main competitor WEED, Canopy, has better footing in the market and more name recognition. CMED way overvalued and market cap ridiculously high. Also Aurora paid a premium for this one. A terribly bad move. May work out in the end but for now it can't sustain these prices. Below $30 again next week. GL
Aurora is Largest in the World https://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=138547518 Coupled with CMED this is going to be even larger. Glad to see this is a friendly merger.
Because Aurora bought them at the peak and offered $44 a share when originally in Nov they offered $24 which was current price at the time. This will continue to plummet to under $28 soon. Aurora paid $1 billion more than they should've. Mistakes happen in these weed stocks and investors and companies will continue to lose until legalization happens in Canada.
That’s what I’m wondering. Maybe the easy money was made in early Jan.
I can’t wrap my head around why anybody would sell a single share for less than $43. It’s pretty well gauranteed. And why wouldn’t people be buying it up like crazy at a 20% discount. Is there something I don’t know about?
You can buy it now, dispensaries are open for business. At least in Vancouver and Lower Mainland of British Columbia.
They qualify for a lot in Canada.
Destiny sort of set here for awhile now that things cleared up with Aurora. Now a waiting game to allow all to settle. News will be plenty after the chips fall into place with the two joining forces.
Hope that announce the players in place to run the ship soon so we can get these flying.
All the opium grown for medical purposed is done outside.
If you're selling dry herbal buds as medicine indoor is better for environmental control of course. But the bigger medical market is in extracts and oils which it doesn't matter if the API (active pharmaceutical ingredient) is produced indoors or outdoors. You can get extracts grown from outdoor plants gmp approved.
And sure there will be Frost's and bad harvest but you guys are missing something big.
Canadian government thinks they will need 600 000 kg a year to meet legalization demand.
Outdoor can yield 1000+kg per hectare.
In Canada there are over 10 million hectares grown for food and fibre crops.
So if 0.1% of farmland was converted to growing Cannabis (10 000 hectares) it would produce over 10 times the demand for cannabis.
Consumer value per hectare of grain:
Maybe $5000
Per hectare of hemp seeds
Maybe $20 000
Per hectare of drug type cannabis
$10 000 000
Economics dictates that it will be grown outside soon.
Harvest one just bought 400 acres in BC to grow outdoors...don't be naive it's a plant it will be grown outdoors. And when it does the price will plummet and any big indoor producers not producing best weed ever will go broke.
Good luck
It’s not considered agriculture when sold in medicinal form. Hence the large indoor grow ops that have the capability of controlling their environment more yield per sq. ft. and no pesticides needed. Also there is the testing of all product in Canada as well as most states that have medicinal cannabis laws like Cali. All products sold in medicinal or recreational form will have to be tested for various things such as molds and pesticides. I own stock in a company that does this as well. I lived in Cali. no way i would knowingly smoke anything grown outdoors in that black sand pit, that dust is so fine it covers everything and it is like that all across the midwest U.S. near deserts.
Early frost was always a problem every time we grew outdoors. Im in Montana so our weather is that of Canadas, but im not sure where your putting your 200 Acre field of dreams. There are sooo many variables and things that can go wrong in an uncontrollable atmosphere. I doubt any of it will make the cut to be sold to consumers, To many fertilizers and pesticides ect.....
Anyway dont let us chit on your dreams.
Lmao. Good luck with that
Of course multiple crops in multiple climates, in farming you might loose 1/10 crops, but overall cost of production will be much lower.
As for intentional fires and such, in Canada outdoor grows will require fencing and camera vision of the entire premise. So security will probably be much higher than Cali.
Be careful with outdoor growing in reference to Wild fires which decimated the cannabis crop in California in the summer of 2017. (many conspiracy theories on who started wildfires)
Good luck to you and your farming.
Really I am naive? I think investors who think a business plan based around growing an agricultural crop indoors for 100x the real production cost outdoors is a good idea are naive. I have worked in the acmpr since 2014,
These companies are castles made of sand, and I can't wait to knock them down.
The market caps in this sector are pure speculation, and your fooling yourself if you think otherwise.
Good luck!
You’re looking to change the government policies and everyone’s buying habits. Good luck.
Lol..... I sincerely hope you are trolling. Otherwise you are beyond naive.
CMED & ACBFF Agree to Terms of Transaction......
Aurora Cannabis and CanniMed Therapeutics Agree to Terms on Friendly Transaction
https://www.newswire.ca/news-releases/aurora-cannabis-and-cannimed-therapeutics-agree-to-terms-on-friendly-transaction-670879623.html
Good luck to you!
Already tested >20% thc from outdoor crops in Canada. In BC there is a desert area which stays warm and dry until November, perfect for weed. UV (blocked by most greenhouses) boosts cannabinoid production, hence most green house crops test lower than outdoor.
Indoor>outdoor> greenhouse
I wonder if your quality will compare especially with shorter growing season of Canada! Good luck.
Outdoor growing becomes legal in July of this year in Canada. I would be very worries holding these bloated overvalued companies with outdoor coming.
Already have multiple farms lined up and breeding strains for different outdoor locations.
Have extraction equipment being designed and tested to process 1000kg fresh cannabis an hour. Sure it will take until after 2020 to catch up with these guys. But when the margin depression comes outdoor growers will win over giant greenhouses 9/10 times Imo.
You better get started on it....you are way behind!
I can't wait for outdoor growers to put these companies out of their misery.
I will be starting an outdoor LP, will grow cannabis for 1 cent a gram and undercut all these massive castles of sand.
5 million SQ feet is a few hundred acres.
In Canada we grow around 10 million acres of grain a year. If we took 0.1% of that land (10 000 acres) we could produce around 5 million kgs of cannabis.
Once my cannabis combine and harvester is completed we estimate a cost of around $5000 per acre. So that is $10/kg
An 8 billion dollar company based upon growing an agricultural product for $100x it's real production cost in a reasonable system. Their market cap is based upon a government imposed oligarchy which will fail. Can't wait for the consumer market to reject all their terrible product too.

Holding till news on meetings. Congrats as both CMED and Aurora are up nicely.
Maybe overtake Canopy is the near future with all the buying.
New to this hub. I’m playing the merger from both sides. Would’ve loved to have achieved the 4.5 aurora shares back in November. Think it would still be great if they passed over 2.5-3!
Going to be an interesting week!
Willing to see what comes of the talks. Both are rising nicely and if Aurora can go to 8-9 million cap we will all be happy.
