First cannabis hearing for the 115th Congress starts tomorrow!
"Titled, “Challenges and Solutions: Access to Banking Services for Cannabis-Related Businesses,” the hearing will take place on February 13 before a subcommittee of the House Financial Services Committee."
The newly scheduled marijuana hearing is a signal that Democrats intend to move cannabis legislation this year, and is likely to be the first in a series of committee-level actions across the House on the issue.
"The upcoming hearing presents a real opportunity for the Democratic Party to assert their leadership by finally beginning the conversation on how we end the failed policy of marijuana criminalization," Justin Strekal, political director for NORML, said.
Congress has held only a handful of hearings on marijuana reform issues in recent years, and never before has any come at a time when broad cannabis reform legislation seemed to be conceivably on its way to passage.

Looking forward to seeing some real progress in Congress for a change.
Finding a genuine Cannabis stock in the otc is proving to be very difficult.

The Next Attorney General May Not Bar Progress On Cannabis Policy After All
"To Barr’s credit, while not pledging outright to restore the Cole memo, he said in his hearing that he would “not [] go after companies that have relied on the Cole memorandum” nor would he “upset settled expectations and reliant interests” related to it."

Here we go again. "0%" (or .00333) of shares owned does not constitute dumping, not by any stretch. http://openinsider.com/CBDS
Yep,He dumped a bunch recently,They don’t appear to even have a business.Every time this starts to run insiders dump into it.
the only thing tobias does is sell shares... the guy does not even put a pr of what the company is doing... I bet he live in a basement in his mother home
Dud, insiders are selling again
Insiders are selling on a regular bases and no updates tells me this one is a dud.
Long and strong, looking for that January upswing, looking forward to a good year. $CBDS
Wow, CBDS is WAY oversold now. RSI, MACD, and slow stochastic are all signaling CBDS as a buy. I doubt it will be this low for much longer.
Long and strong CBDS$!
Looks like New York is next!

Happy Thanksgiving!
I think it's a steal at this price. CBDS licenses the “hi” and “White Rabbit” brands. They have one of the few U.S. patents on a strain of cannabis (Ecuadorian Sativa). They have other “patent pending” trade secret formulas. They have the “hi benefits card.” They have a number of impressive subsidiaries (Wild Earth Naturals, PrestoDoctor, iBudTender, etc.). And now they just received another U.S. patent (#10105343) for “Cannabis based compositions and methods of treating hypertension.” And all this says nothing of their “best in the sector” leadership team.
They also have some serious revenue coming in now too. According to Nasdaq, they reported impressive revenues of $206,474 for the three months ended June 30, 2018, up from an anemic $1,981 reported last year. Revenue for the first half of the year rocketed up to $301,064 from $3,046 last year.
Of course they had to make some substantial investments to get to this point—this is business after all—but what I see today is a savvy team of professionals with decades of expertise laying the foundation for a global company that will go absolute gangbusters with the end of prohibition.
As far as the current stock price, in my opinion CBDS should be up there in the top five of all cannabis stocks.
Yeah this price is a mystery. Insiders sell every month and it sticks around $4. If I owned it I’d dump a little each day until I was out. It’s probably worth 20 cents per share based on other companies in the sector.
omg 100,000 rev and 3 million lost how the f#$k this is at +4$ a share?! what a joke
Yeah, about 2 1/2 years. They could take it public, if they wanted, but they're having too much fun picking the pockets of CBDS "investors".
I thought I read somewhere that DTC can cancel the shares after 3 years, but I can't find it again. I hope they can go public early next year. I at least want a nickel or dime per share!
That's some double good news. Moving my timeline up...
Seems to be a lot of resistance at $4.99. If it can break past that, it may make another run up.
Indeed, I had forgot about Pete Sessions. Overall, it has been a great past 24 hrs for the Marijuana industry.
BOTH of the anti-cannabis Sessions pols are OUT:
Jeff Sessions was fired by Trump.
https://www.cnn.com/2018/11/07/politics/sessions-resign/index.html
And Congressman Pete Sessions lost his reelection bid. Sessions, Chairman of the Rules Committee, 11-term Congressman, and one of the GOP’s most powerful leaders, blocked dozens of pro-cannabis bills from making it to the House floor for a vote.

Jeff Sessions resignation is fueling part of the run up, as well. I expect it to continue tomorrow. Wonder who Trump will pick as his replacement?
I knew this was going to run! I bought back into CBDS last night.
Nice pop in price for the day. Was fueled by marijuana initiatives winning in Michigan, Utah, and Missouri. I think it has room to run up some more, at least through Friday. We'll have to see how it performs.
What happened with the CBDS dividend? 4 shares of Kush. For every share of CBDS. I have a bunch from this that are sitting in my brokerage account with no ticker assigned. I reached out to CBDS but heard crickets back. Anyone know what the deal is?
The stock market finally had a good day. Perhaps the broad market sell-off is finally wrapping up? The bottom for the cannabis sector must be real close now, if it's not already here.
Meanwhile, according to Bloomberg, the legalization front is looking good regardless of the election outcome:
"Dana Rohrabacher, a conservative Republican from California who has said he uses medical marijuana to treat arthritis pain, told Fox Business recently that President Donald Trump was committed to legalizing medical marijuana after the midterm election, while leaving the question of recreational pot to the states. Attorney General Jeff Sessions has been a outspoken opponent of legalization, though reports suggest he may depart after the elections."
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-10-30/the-politics-of-pot-how-the-elections-will-play-into-weed-laws
"If the Democrats take the House and Sessions departs, U.S.-focused pot stocks are likely to see a short-term surge, analysts say. Clarity on banking rules could help close the valuation gap between the U.S. stocks and their Canadian counterparts."

He's Back! Yes, CBDS was awarded it's second US cannabis Patent. I guess you could consider that to be junk work, depending on your angle.
Insider selling tells me they’re not turning enough profit to be self sustaining.

Really? Since when does 1.2% of shares held constitute "dumping" or "a bunch"??
He’s dumping a bunch of this stock.
David Tobias other scam ticker MJHI isnt doing any good either.
Catch the falling knife with this one.
Hope it stays down long enough for my money to clear.
Wow, looking oversold now for sure. Lot of support at this level too.
I’ll be buying more soon. The ceo of bdci has a long history of pump n dump shells.Been there done that.

MESQUITE, NV / ACCESSWIRE / August 2, 2017 / Cannabis Sativa. Inc. (OTCQB:CBDS) announced today that the Company has acquired a controlling interest in PrestoCorp (a.k.a. PrestoDoctor), an online telemedicine platform providing access to knowledgeable physicians for a safe and confidential way to get a medical marijuana recommendation using secure video conferencing technology (https://prestodoctor.com).
Appointments through PrestoDoctor’s website are generally completed in 10-15 minutes, and can be scheduled and completed in the same day. This convenience eliminates the need for patients to travel to an in-person appointment or wait in line at a clinic. More than 40,000 users have registered to consult with PrestoDoctor’s 15+ licensed physicians across the United States. PrestoDoctor currently offers services in California and Nevada, and is actively targeting expansion into multiple additional states in the coming months.
President David Tobias says:
“We are pleased to bring PrestoDoctor on board as a subsidiary of Cannabis Sativa. Combining our resources should be a great benefit to both companies. We are eager to assist PrestoDoctor in the roll out of their medical marijuana programs in several new states this year, and hope to see the continued growth of PrestoDoctor for years to come. We believe telemedicine is the future.”
PrestoDoctor was founded by an experienced Silicon Valley based team, with Kyle Powers previously at Google,IBM, PayPal, and ClearSlide, and Robert Tankson previously with Google, ClearSlide, and McCullough & Associates.
MESQUITE, NV / ACCESSWIRE / December 21, 2016 / Cannabis Sativa, Inc. (CBDS) announced that on December 20, 2016, the company's subsidiary was awarded Patent PP27,475 for a Cannabis Plant named "Ecuadorian Sativa".
"Equadorian Sativa" has been shown in laboratory testing by Steephill Labs to have a Limonene level that is extraordinarily high at a level of 4.53, 10 to 20 times the usual range. This sets "Equadorian Sativa" apart from other varieties in its odor, the effects on mood and mentation and its medical qualities.
The objective of the breeding, which produced this novel plant strain nicknamed "CTA", was primarily to develop a plant having the following characteristics: (a) medicinal properties that included hypotensive activity; (b) psychoactive properties that motivated and energized, rather than creating lethargy, sleepiness, and (c) increased food consumption.
Anecdotally, there are indications that its use may prevent some cancers and may cause apoptosis of cancer cells in vivo. There is a good possibility that the high levels of limonene may slow down the build-up of plaque in the arteries and reduce the effect of low-density lipo-proteins on the circulatory system. Indications are that "Ecuadorian Sativa" has many medical qualities that make it an important tool to maintain health and deal with illness.
"Our patience is now rewarded with the issuance of Patent PP27,475". "This patent will open up new areas for research and opportunities for CBDS", said CEO Mike Gravel.
This plant was derived from a female said to be of a strain called colloquially, "Celestial Temple Sativa" an individual grown in Ecuador that as a solitary plant reached a height of 23 feet. The male parent is said to have been of a strain known colloquially as "Island Sweet Skunk".
The Company's President David Tobias said, "This is a major accomplishment and is a tribute to the foresight and perseverance of management to solidify Cannabis Sativa's contribution to the maturing Cannabis industry."
Cannabis Sativa, Inc. (OTCQB:CBDS) has global ambitions. We believe cannabis is destined to become the next gold rush, and we're prepared to help shape its future in a legal environment.
We've assembled the team, the talent and the experience necessary to brand and market the highest-quality cannabis products available today – and to innovate the future of casual cannabis.
