Everybody see the info re: natural disaster destroying plant in China on friday?.. Contributed to drop on Fri no doubt.. Cause SCTY has virtually no exposure outside US in Solar it held up pretty well Fri despite Brexit.. FSLR/ TSL/ SPWR not so.. All growth stocks cud be in trouble here anyway as Mr. Market re-aligns itself with all the jitters/concerns out there.. Brexit has de-stabilized Europe & it increases uncertainty exponentially.. I've hedged myself with gold/silver & VIX related ETF's for time being

They just keep postin good results.. I like solar here generally - Chinese big cities are chokin on smog, solar has a role to play in the sweeping changes that country faces. ITC was extended in US, FSLR & SPWR big winners there.. Yet stocks have been battered since Dec 15'.. Slow & steady will win this race

Have been watching for a while and waiting for some change to the downtrend. Last couple days seem to be building some support and upward momentum. I'm in at 17.51. We are pushing up against the 50 period average on the hourly. I'd like to see this pop up to 18 in the next few days and start a big uptrend. Pretty oversold in my opinion. Gl to anyone else out there.

Yeah.. Normally a mass short attack has dragged it down b4 even after stellar earnings.. Today seems more abt profit taking.. Big influences in the market always do it, rinse em out & then accummulate now for the next steady run up.. Hope so anyway :)

Agreed. O'wise its heading for another 'lower' low if you check the chart the last 3 years - since solar made its 'recovery'.. If oil keeps dragging us lower I dont see how anything will escape the wrath of the Wall St. Short-sellers. In the end they'll decide which direction the overall markets will head from here. Catalysts to sustain this 6-yr plus bull market have all but evaporated now..

Oil has become a falling knife- or rather a very large macheté which is slicing thru the entire energy sector & leaving it in a bloody mess.. & solar can't seem to escape the blade either.. & the carnage isn't over yet - Oil has far from bottomed yet I fear..

Perhaps, but rig counts are down. Big firms are laying off people and cutting back vastly, this is not a good sign.

Technology will advance for both (oil and solar) sectors. Oil may be unlimited for the next 75 plus years. The Sun is here for another 4.5 billion years, truly unlimited; no smog and etc.. unlike fossil fuel. Will be adding soon when it is within to my target.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for solar and wind.

But, with advancing tech there's enough petroleum avail. for the next 100+ years.

Solar has to become even more efficient ( 3d cells ), and, lower costs, to really make a dent.
