Holding GNOM---will add if weakness
I like the sector and where stock is now--SQNM has been on tear
GNOM needs to break that 3 mark
GNOM CJ, are you still holding this stock? I have been looking at all the big insider buys and the rejection bid of 2.5 billion from GlaxoSmithCline. Was wondering also what you thought their fins would look like tommorow when they come out? I know you have followed this stock so I would appreciate your opinion.

HGSI- D'oh!
Human Genome Sciences Inc. (HGSI) received an unsolicited takeover bid worth $2.58 billion in cash from GlaxoSmithKline PLC (GSK), an offer the biotech company said doesn't reflect its inherent value.
The board has authorized a review of strategic options, including, but not limited to, a potential sale of the company and invited Glaxo to participate in the process.
The drug companies already have a close relationship, which may make if difficult for other suitors to pursue a takeover. The companies split profits form Benlysta, a lupus drug, and are co-developing two other compounds: darapladib, for the treatment of heart disease and albiglutide, for diabetes. Both are in late-stage testing.
The offer, worth $13 a share, marks an 81% premium over Wednesday's close. Shares surged 95% to $14 premarket, topping the offer price and suggesting shareholders are expecting more.
Analysts have long speculated about a possible tie-up between the companies, but Human Genome's sinking stock price last year was thought to be a deterrent as many industry watchers still consider it a rising star that would command a hefty premium. The stock is off 74% in the past year.
Human Genome has requested additional information from Glaxo about investigational products in Glaxo's clinical pipeline to which it has rights, including darapladib and albiglutide.
It has retained Goldman Sachs & Co. and Credit Suisse Securities LLC to assist in its review.
Going good just getting things in order... Trades are minimal at the moment.

Yeah, I see that shrugging off and don't buy it. Remember, our economy is as bad as Europes if not worse. The focus now is Europe (makes US look attractive), but we are hanging by a thread.
What will bring down markets?
Seems like everything is being shrugged off
It does. Question is, will it hold?
Looks like S&P headed back to 1100
Probably going to grab SDS

Lost 10 grand waiting for trades to sell but I will take 64,229.44 profit in two days. Now we wait for the dip off of 1200 and rinse and repeat. At least until Germany gets on board and we shoot through 1200 quickly.

I don't trust this market, but I'm watching.
You think we should nibble?
Broke resistance, some early volume
6-Month Daily SMBL:
Pattern: Failed Cup & Handle
Near Term Resistance: $5/$5.10
Near Term Support: $4.68
Measured Move: $3.62 (from late July)
Measured Move: $3.48 (from mid May)
Overall: Bearish
Volume/price as a core indicator demonstrates no "market" support for price as seen in declining volume as price expands (orange); today is telling in that volume generously exceeds prior days' volume and price closed down; StochRSI shows growing negative sentiment; CMF demonstrates growing sell pressure; 5MA has developed a fairly sharp-angled downward arc delineating downward pressure; short-term descending resistance (purple) displays a much stronger angle than the ascending trendline (green)which also denotes bearish movement; ADX/DI display -DI over +DI (bearish) with ADX resting at 10.21 suggesting a strong move possibly coming; watch for angle changes on all 3.
Frankly, the market being what it is, I feel fundamentals will have little to no influence on direction. Bear markets generally have a 3-leg down pattern (S&P) and the market appears to be in leg 1 presently, so any long position should be hedged heavily with puts IMO.
Can we get a Chart
TIA CJ
I just added SMBL to iHub's boards, left the mod position open, so am hoping you'll step in and run it. That is one to keep an eye on, for sure.

SIMG AXTI AMKR and all
Good morning. It's looking like the market's going to open down.
Look at AMKR SIMG March 2012
very early and very cheap
Funny you should mention that. I've been looking at TWM, but... until Bernanke speaks we won't know how the market will react. There is a large segment of the market expecting him to say QE 3, also a large segment that says no, not happening. The fact I see gold heading back up and equities tanking suggests the majority believe no QE 3 is coming. Very volatile with no discernible direction.... yet. I'm also watching XLF, GLD, and CRM. CRM could make a very strong move. Have you looked at any of those? Any thoughts?

Perhaps we should play this if a bounce?
Thanks, I've been there for the past several years. I believe it's a very solid pick with a lot to offer. imo
