Butterfly Network, Inc. (NYSE: BFLY) ("Butterfly"), an innovative digital health company that is working to democratize medical imaging and improve global health equity, announced that it will report third quarter 2021 financial results and provide a business update on November 15, 2021, before the market opens.
Wow, the price only needs to drop another $10 and we'll finally be in penny stock land!
Today's Fluff from the news wire...
Butterfly Network (NYSE: BFLY) shared that its IQ Ultrasound portable ultrasound will be aboard a SpaceX rocket to test the device in the space environment.
I don't see justification for the drop in the PPS to under $13. I assume it's shorters having a field day since there doesn't appear to be dilution or toxic lending...
Ouch! PPS down below $14.50 now... Is this going from Butterfly to Butterflop?
I appreciate you replying to my post. I was hoping that by eventually gaining moderator status, I would be able to correct the listing for this board so that people would have a place to talk/rant about BFLY. For too long this board was still referred to as Bluefly, Inc when that company had apparently gone defunct years ago.
I bought in back when it was LGVW and the PPS at the time was somewhere around 18.50. Was hoping for better performance based on all the hype from Cathie Wood's buying spree on this stock.
Not sure exactly how many people need a personal ultrasound machine anyway, but I keep hearing investors say that there's long-term market potential in Butterfly Network's product.
yeah, REAAL Sickening Price Action...
Butterfly Network Appoints Timothy Trodden to Management Team
And the share price drops accordingly...
Well, for what it's worth, if anyone managed to invest in this back when it was near a PPS of $27, I'm sorry for your losses. This stock appear to have stabilized at roughly $16 PPS instead and may stay there for awhile.
No word on dividends yet...
Interesting how the price spiked this morning once the notice was released of Butterfly notifying everyone of their end-of-year earnings report...
Not sure if anyone else is even following this board anymore, but I have to ask... What's the deal with the price drop? The stock was in the upper 20s back before Longview merged with Butterfly Network to create BFLY. Since then, this stock's been on something of a consistent tumble downwards, although the recent suppression of a rise in the price does smack of manipulation.
Any guesses?

New strategy is a recipe for success
Bluefly's (NASDAQ: BFLY) new strategy is a sure recipe for success. The new strategy trades off high gross margins for increased inventory turns. In simple terms, the company is more focused on increasing the number of units sold than it is on reaping lumpy profits- this is a tell-sign of a company that is geared towards attracting customers and fostering growth. In addition, the new strategy optimizes return on invested capital. This increases shareholder value and allows the management to carry on with operations without any interference from disgruntled investors.
Although the strategy was unveiled some time back, it has already started delivering material effects- as witnessed in the company's 3Q earnings report . During the quarter, the company increased inventory turns by 80 percent, signaling increased buying among its customers. Similarly, there was a 26 percent increase in first-time customers. To underscore the increased enthusiasm from first-time customers, the company also managed to record a 44 percent growth rate in orders from international markets. A crucial part of the strategy that managed to deliver increased inventory turns was the set of incentives put forward to lure new customers. First-time customers were not only given daily deal offers but they were also given promotional shipping, which essentially translates to free shipping.
As expected the increase in first-time customers came at a cost; nevertheless it was a worthy cost considering that the company is edging closer and closer to meeting its goals. Costs tied to first-time customers (daily deal offers and promotional shipping) partly contributed to the decrease in gross margins percentages which decreased from 29.1 percent to 13.6 percent. All the same, the company as of the moment has managed to not only cast its net over very many new customers but it has also maintained a leash on its current customers. This will greatly favor the company during the holiday season and thereafter. Given its strategy and positioning in the fashion industry, Bluefly is one of the emerging growth companies that it set to benefit from the increase in ecommerce spending.

Whoopie! The company is making money. Hmmm, no one is interested.
I don't take Cramers picks serious. I have DD'd some of his picks though. He's more for entertainment than serious stock advice IMO. I spend a lot of time and energy with stocks (hence I moderate over 130 boards). I have made more this year trading than I have made with my job. Mostly that was luck to be honest but it's spendable luck! Charts is a hobby with me and I like to hear most any opinions. I hate to here myself say it but I don't dislike Cramer's show. If I run into it while surfing I may spend 5 minutes there...anyway...
i friggin hate cramer. sorry if you are a fan, but he is annoying. i cant watch his program for more than 30 seconds.
My interest here is that BFLY is not going down. it has just been hovering above 95 cents the past 3 months. when it hits profitability, i think it's going to be big IMO.
Yes...I agree. Personal experience is better than Cramer or messageboards anyday. Cramer says ebay stock will go down however I've personally spent hours and dollars on ebay. Others are talking about it, I say the stock will go up! I do agree with you that is a good sign.
i know you have to have a membership to start boards and see pages without advertisement. i'm cheap and have the free membership. the point is, as i'm typing this, there is a bluefly banner on the top of the page. they're on msn and myspace now too. i've also recently seen ads in magazines for the first time. 3 months ago, i never heard of the company, now they're everywhere. it could be a good sign.
I'm not holding shares. I started this board but don't recall why I started it. The income statement doesn't look great...
Everything I see at first glance here is not exciting but I've not DD'd it much at all.
im assuming you hold shares, yes? im not in yet. i've been watching this one for a while.
...very empty...very quite...
hello, empty board!!!! muhuhwhahahaha (sinister laugh). i love the echo sound of empty boards. it reminds me of the echo of a cash register's ::cha ching:: after a store's first sale of the day.
