$2's are more likely for tomorrow. That payment issue was the primary overhang here. Upgrades now might offer BCEI some additional exposure in the AM.
Sweet and this baby may hit $2 ah, going into decision making mode right here, hope ya kill it LW!!!
Thought about it for a sec...then went and peeked at the current short position opened!! Hells yeah I bought in!! Huge $150k bid sitting down below too. Don't know if that's an attempt at cover or otherwise. Either way, the AH session looking promising. Let's see what morning brings.
Wow I see that LW, prolly gonna see what the am brings and maybe momo will be around, did you get in?
News out. Company made that debt payment. Looks like the shorts got caught here...all 22% of them...though I'm sure that number is much higher.
Better grab a few!!
$BCEI
I know right not sure about the spike, and did not get in, yet will be watching and possibly waiting for entry GLTU always!!!
No...unfortunately not. Decided to focus my attentions elsewhere. Did you get to grab some? This chart is looking amazing here. It's the 'risk on' factor that left me minimizing my attention here. Wonder if they've gotten a new buyer for that asset they're trying to sell? Would seem to make sense in light of the move.
Lots of shorts...so higher perhaps?
Possible MM's are cleaning house? Short Squeeze... or some underlying PR at work to move this up.
BCEI nice pop LW, you still playing?
Fair enough. I guess this would be the more logical strategy providing the short term moves are profitable enough.
I won't touch it. Someone insisted that shorts must pay here and is winning. In most other cases especially where you have crooked mgmt, BCEI should be trading no higher than 12 cents today given the inherent uncertainties surrounding it's business. Shorts thought it would be a piece of cake. Someone said NO WAY for shorts and is winning big...forcing them to buy back and so it may hit $1.50s again. Very interesting to watch. I remember some fool selling at at #0.45 premarket last week. He is off 100 percent.
Very valid post....can't say I disagree with anything there. One strategy that I use that has rewarded nicely is grabbing a few tickets in beaten down plays that start 'behaving strangely'.
That aside, I hold very, very few stocks for more than a few days.
In my humble opinion I don't think this stock, because of it's underlying circumstances, should be traded technically. If BCEI becomes more stabilized (through restructuring) and avoids BK then perhaps then... but at this point in time I think the fundamentals plays a more important part. For example:

Plus, I can't help but think the MM's are manipulating as usual...
The chart...the chart was looking good for a bounce.
Looking good for what?
Been eyeballing this one. Looking very good here today!

125 institutions equaling 96% institutional owned. No ones bailing.:^)
Sad to say, but the reality is that bonanza will be joining other BK stocks in the near future.
Schwab exp.date(8/19)gives 17days. Plenty of time.;*)
"the Company's collateral value under the revolving credit facility would have been negatively impacted by either asset sale, thus mitigating any cash gained from such sale."
and why did not they sell assets? So what now? BK?
because market does not like what they do and we are going see a price under $0.4, what then? BK?
Market Cap 39.92M - for yesterday
IMHO, today it will be near 25 M
Tomorrow = 15M
what next? BK?
What are they doing?
"$170.2 million in cash and cash equivalents""indenture governing the 5.75% Senior Notes permit the Company a 30 day grace period to make the interest payment."
As far as not selling assets, the current market would force them to sell at pennies on the dollar. They are simply being honest, open and transparent as to not mislead anyone.
Oh la la... so what now? Price yesterday dropped to $0.4, now it is $0.56...buy?
May be someone can explain Q10? As I understood, they did not pay any debts and not going to. They did not sell assets and not going to. They need money, but don't want to think what can they do.
I have only 1 question... BCEI, WHAT ARE YOU DOING? BK?
I think today we will see the price under $0.4
BCEI Q2 should be out today or tommorrow. ;*)
$3 might be awhile, but I like what I've researched regarding their structuring plans. They hired the right firm for strategic advice. This stock is simply taking the same hit the oil index has. U.S. oil supply's are overstocked and depleting as BCEI have made cutbacks while current reserves are being used. The next quarterly will reflect those numbers honestly, unlike the rediculous, unfounded bankrutcy rumors due to other companies filing bankruptcy that did not make the required changes BCEI has. I'm not recommending anyone I know to buy, sell, or hold this stock. I am simply an active participant holding BCEI presently due to my research and instincts. Good luck to all. :^)
Buying in this price to sell at $3.00
any news?
Where is our new plan? 2 big companies work on new plan and they have 20 days for that.
Do we paid any debts? first installment? where is earning report? ***stupid company...
May be someone can call there and talk with CEO? Tell him, that I am angry.
5+million volume tommorrow from institutional buying(low). Hilariously transparent!;&)
"Perella Weinberg Partners L.P. is an independent, privately owned, global financial services firm providing corporate advisory and asset management services to clients around the world."

Their current legal team would have handled any bankruptcy filings. They hired a world class strategic growth company with a strong reputation to defend. Sounds like they are serious about restructuring for growth in spite of the oil price decline. Diversity is necessary for companies to survive an industry downturn. They paid $200 million down on their senior credit line through share offerings early this year to restore faith in senior lenders. At 94% institution owned with a strengthen liquid cash position after the 1st quarter, I would say a nice bounce is coming before or upon strategic growth plan is announced. Btw, I enjoyed the bounce last time it hit below $1. For the sake of transparency, I just bought in again. Let's see how I do this time. ;*)
What a piece of rotting stinking piece of brown fecal matter, and it's all over my face!
Bounce from just above 1 IMHO

Yup, these smaller companies in the oil and gas market where a bunch of cowboys thinking $100 oil was the new normal. So they spent spent spent with no forethought of a potential supply glut developing and the laws of supply and demand then taking over.
I have to admit, I thought $100 oil was the new normal too. I've won and lost with this stock, just glad I wasn't in it this time.
