Basta Holdings Corp. (OTCBB:BSTA), an aviation and logistics management company, today announced that it has assumed management of revenue-generating contracts in the field of heavy helicopter long-term leasing as well as private business aviation operations.

The Company now manages revenue-generating, long-term ACMI leases of heavy rotary wing aircraft commissioned by significant government, non-government organizations (NGO), UN and commercial contractors internationally. Additionally, the Company has been hired to provide services in the field of private business aviation operations. As part of the engagement, Basta Holdings anticipates entering into long term aircraft leases, which will be used in FBO operations as well as acquiring other assets which may increase the efficiency of its FBO services.

Management of Basta Holdings is in negotiations with several major aviation companies in China and elsewhere in Asia as well as Africa. The Company plans to expand its long-term heavy helicopter leasing business and establish joint ventures in the acquisition and development of maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facilities and private business aircraft sales, management, charter and maintenance.

Dazed and bloodied, the pilot gazes around the wreckage of the plane he has just crash-landed on a busy road ? and only one thought can possibly be running through his mind: "How on Earth did I survive that?"

The cockpit of Bob Robertson's cargo plane disintegrated around him as he hit the freeway, leaving him sitting upright in his seat, his legs trapped under the control column.

His five-ton 1964 Super Twin Beech 18 clipped the side of a building before it dropped on to Florida's Interstate 93 and slid on to a grassed embankment.

Stunned witness Fred Allen said: "It was like he was just sitting in the road."

The 34-year-old pilot got into trouble when the twin-engine plane began to lose power shortly after taking off from Fort Lauderdale, en route for the Bahamas, on Friday.

Investigators are currently examining what went wrong.

Jonathan Hart, of Monarch Air Group, which operated the plane, said: "Knowing Bob, I'm sure that the first thing on his mind would be the safety of others. It looks as if he was trying to aim for the railroad or the grassy area."

No one was killed in the crash, but Mr Robertson was taken to hospital with severe head, arm and leg injuries after he was cut from the mangled wreckage.

He was in a critical condition following emergency surgery.
