Flex
I'm planning on doing a JT Special DD package over the long weekend. DENN you seem to be one of the OG's on this security. Is there any information you can share that isn't posted?
He he he,.. All retail MMs on this security, with no dilutors like VFIN or VERT so that coffee bet is looking pretty darned good! Taking into consideration I've called about 1/2 dozen tickers this year already that have gone nuts I'll give you a chance to alter your bet terms if you want. I like to be fair. FYI, 2 weeks ago I found IMMB at $.06 and people laughed at me when I called $.50. I sold at $.45 which I felt was close enough and it's still got legs.
Everyone should read that filing. It's killer news.

This is a real gem here folks. Kudos to you all! Good eye catching this!
some one did figures on this on yahoo.. take a look at the value he came up with..you have to read all 11 posts under ipo http://finance.yahoo.com/mb/BMNM/#mbt=ipo&mbl=http%253A%2F%2Ffinance.yahoo.com%2Fmbview%2Fthreadview%2F%253F%2526bn%253De6d9b0e7-432c-3776-ae44-87717dcdafa7%2526tid%253D1360024471301-a41866cc-cf51-4bb8-91c7-ecc6fa03eca2%2526tls%253Dla%25252Cd%25252C0%25252C3&mbtc=mb-tab-topic
abvious you sold out. so you better move on... http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=84637721
BMNM, gee did anyone benefit from this one day double?
Outsiders stealing all the profits?
This would give them a book of around 7milly correct?
IPO pros welcomed to chime in on this BMNM IPO relationship to adjust prospective advantage to BMNM as of this IPO involvement.
did you see how many shares bmnm received of orc.. this really moves the book value of bmnm up.. do the math.. http://www.otcmarkets.com/edgar/GetFilingHtml?FilingID=9083485
Ya have any BMNM? If not why?
IPO just filed today 2,360,000 shares at $14 to $16 a share. BMNM will own 26 to 29 percent of the company. symbol will be ORC and trade on NYSE. looks like some big dividends could be paid with that low of outstanding stock to ORC..http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1518621/000119312513036944/d427065ds11a.htm
Insider buy at 11 cent bottom. for $500 you could invest in a possible opportunity. The book value is 50 cents and it is at 20 cents now.Could lose 4 or 500 at most but money could double or more. BMNM owns Orchard island.
filled a s-11/a yesterday.. http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1518621/000119312512483809/d427065ds11a.htm
Will holders of Bmnm recieve any shares of this company that's going public
getting ready for some moves upward
things are coming in place. http://www.orchidislandcapital.com/
Sometimes they will give current shareholders a stock dividend when a company IPO's a share of itself onto the market.
NEWS........................................8-K FILED today there going to bring orchid public. great part of the news is there using Ladenburg Thalmann & Co. Inc. which is mostly owned by Dr. Frost, [do a google on him]... we may finally see something happening now......Ladenburg Thalmann & Co. Inc. has been really good at this for raising money for companys. i believe ARR used them several times.....
Romney win would be good for banking/mortgage stocks?
Fnma and freddie
getting better with income
they need to triple that income
things should turn around next year
not until Florida RE recovers
Yeah, I've been trying to figure out what's going on with this stock. This should be trading around the dollar range if not higher
Any body here still following this stock?
Just bought 10,000 shares. They had a good earnings and book value is higher than what i paid by double. Book value is listed as $.61. Good insider buys all higher than what I paid so if i lose the owners lose more. I think if they get one more quarter like the last one they can do dividends again.
Opteum settlement...has been resolved
iv been looking at this for a bit, looks like there gaining ground, if they follow the other reit's might be time to start buying any oppinions?
Any facts or DD to back up that statement?
Yes..is good. Recent down trend IMO, is due to the Opteum settlement...but that is OLD news, and is stated in the last 10K. Funds have already been set aside for the settlement.
Thanks Superfly15, the big problem with BMNM right now....is its future, just where is the company headed...growth. In other words, is it going to make money for its shareholders. All the statements so far by mgmt, is only to manage its current assets/portfolio. However: there have been several funds buying BMNM lately, and mgmt has bought shares too...that bodes well. Thanks again, raynor.
Raynor,
Here is some research to get you started, apologize its from a different site but there arent too many people that watch this one lol

Just found out that Institutions and Funds have been buying BMNM...wow...maybe??? Here's link...check it out and let me know...comments??!!http://financials.morningstar.com/valuation/price-ratio.html?t=BMNM®ion=USA&culture=en-US
Got my dividend money this morning...right on time...really believe in this company...only stock I have now...oh, yes!! nice to see a slight re-bound in the price.
Yes...dang drop, but bought more...as much as I am going to. I really like this stock, and it is my main holdings too...for better or worse. I really went deep in the DD, and like the management...they did great keeping this company afloat...now they are trying their darnedest to get the value above 1$ so they can start leveraging money to buy more MBS's...IMO. What I see is that someone does not believe they will make it and are selling off...not too many buyers of BMNM right now...but I did all I can...lol.. My scenario...they will make it...stock goes to 3$, they will split 2-1, to get more shares out...divi's will continue, as company buys more MBS's...and we will make money!!
GL!!
Yeah, there's usually a pretty big fall-off on prices directly after the dividend's EX DIV date, but it normally continues to fall for the next week or two before levying out, then it jumps again at the next announcement of dividends.
I'm personally hoping to get in again at around 0.76 before the next div announcement, but that is just my guess as far as the lowest price we would see before then.
The Div's are worth it in my opinion, from my average price in my portfolio I'll be getting about 15% yearly returns at this rate.
I don't have much money and am waiting on my bi-monthly paychecks from work each month in order to put any more money in my portfolio, but BMNM is my main company.
P.S.
I'm kind of slacking on my research at this moment, so I don't know how big of an impact FNMA and Freddy-Mac's drop had on them, so just remember to be wary.
Does anyone have an opinion about this?
Good Luck Everyone!

Bimini Capital Management, Inc. 3305 Flamingo Drive Vero Beach, FL 32963
|
Shares outstanding Class A 10,393,000 Shares outstanding class B 31,938 Shares outstandind class C 31,938 Institutuional ownership 2.41% Total Revenue (TTM) AS OF 06/30/2012 4.47M Assets 131,000,000 Most recent 10-Q http://xml.10kwizard.com/filing_raw.php?repo=tenk&ipage=8418350 Liquidity At June 30, 2012, Bimini Capital had cash and cash equivalents of $5.5 million, an equity capital base of $6.1 million and an MBS portfolio of $111.9 million. The Company generated cash flows of $11.9 million from principal and interest payments on its MBS portfolio and $2.2 million from retained interests in securitizations during the six months ended June 30, 2012. Material losses incurred by the Company in 2006 and 2007 attributable to the former mortgage origination operations of MortCo have significantly reduced Bimini Capital's equity capital base and the size of its MBS portfolio when compared to pre-2006 levels. Ongoing litigation costs stemming from both the former operations of MortCo and Bimini Capital itself have caused the Company's overhead to be high in relation to its portfolio size. The smaller capital base makes it difficult to generate sufficient net interest income to cover expenses. In response, beginning in 2007, the Company has taken significant steps to reduce the leverage in its balance sheet, reduce its debt service costs, reduce expenses, settle various litigation matters, and alter its investment strategy for holding MBS securities. In addition, the Company has attempted to raise capital in Orchid, its wholly-owned subsidiary. During the second quarter of 2011, the Company took steps related to a proposed public offering of common stock by Orchid. However, due to market conditions and economic events beyond the Company's control, the offering was withdrawn. The Company has continued to evaluate capital raising opportunities for Orchid (See Note 14, Subsequent Events, for recent actions). Attracting external capital to Orchid would allow the Company to receive fees for managing the Orchid portfolio, decrease the Company's expenses by allocating certain overhead costs to Orchid, and share in distributions, if any, paid by Orchid to its shareholders. However, if cash resources are, at any time, insufficient to satisfy the Company's liquidity requirements, such as when cash flow from operations are materially negative, the Company may be required to pledge additional assets to meet margin calls, liquidate assets, sell additional debt or equity securities or pursue other financing alternatives. |
