Look at this! It's an update to the earlier story on AAPL:
"Cook also made bullish comments about the impact of any economic headwinds, and said the company is confident it will meet the 2008 target for iPhone sales. He also hinted of a bigger iPhone development to come later this month.
Since we broke through that MA(20) in after hours trading, I think the next resistance for AAPL will be @ $135.51 (top Bollinger Band). If the Bulls are a charging tomorrow, we WILL see that! Man would I love to fill that gap within the next 10 days!!!
I think we really stepped into a pile this time CTA! Let's keep our fingers crossed. I had a target of $130 but man I gotta just let her run on me.
I'm too excited to sleep! LOL

APPX News and Chart
This looks like an incredible opportunity for a nice run to me. I've not looked beyond the initial news and chart and will be doing so before tomorrow.
4:28PM APP Pharma receives final approval for Irinotecan Hydrochloride Injection (APPX) 11.72 -0.07 : Co announces that it has received approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration of its Abbreviated New Drug Application for Irinotecan Hydrochloride Injection, 40 mg/2mL and 100mg/5mL, the generic equivalent of Camptosar Injection manufactured by Pfizer (PFE). Co has immediately commenced marketing and shipping the product. APPX's irinotecan is AP-rated, bar-coded and latex-free. Sales of Camptosar in the United States were ~$556 mln in 2007.
very impressive, I hadn't had time to look at them yet but I like the sound of that.
LKQX did quite well today. It gapped up at open to 21.21, could have grabbed it premarket or right at open and rode it up to 23.02 which was HOD. That would have been an 8.5% flip for the day on a long buy.
I'm going to have to start watching options on these plays as well as I'm liking that my morning picks are having nice runs and they are pretty easy to tell which ones will have nice action for the day.
AH last on AAPL was 127.30, should carry over for a nice gap up in the morning. daily chart is set up very nice and there is plenty of room for the run before it gets too top heavy.
That must be whats causing the eruption in AH trading. Im not in this with u guys but consider me the best cheerleader u ever saw.

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Feb. 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/-- iSolutions, Inc (http://www.iSolutions-Inc.com), inventor and leading provider of Flash/Flex and FileMaker (http://www.filemaker.com) integrated solutions, announced today that their Academy Awards Seating Solution was successfully used for the fourth year in a row at the 80th Annual Academy Awards held on Feb. 24.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences used this leading technology during a six-week period prior to the event. The Academy used iSolutions' "Drag and Drop" Seating Chart Solution to assign seats and issue tickets to each guest attending this year's live televised show, as well as to schedule the official screenings of the nominated films for this year's Academy voters.
With an integration of FileMaker Pro's Web Viewer layout object and Adobe Flash(R) technology, iSolutions seating application managed seating arrangements for the Award Show, Governors' Ball and Sci-Tech Awards this season.
Using iSolutions' FileMaker-based seating application for the Governors Ball, AMPAS staff was able to view the entire floor layout along with table and guest details on their computer screens. The software was used for decision making and placement of guests like Daniel-Day Lewis, George Clooney, Cate Blanchett and Michael Moore at their respective tables and made seating for the more than 2,000+ invitees much more efficient.
"This year, due to the uncertainty caused by the writer's strike, we were making constant changes up to the very last minute to accommodate seating needs. The system gave us peace of mind during this abbreviated preparation period, benefiting not only our staff but also those who attended the Awards Show," says Kevin Kleinhenz, an official for the Academy.
The iSolutions system excels in efficiency and problem mitigation compared to that of the paper-based methods used by AMPAS in the past and by other awards shows even today.
In addition to its Ticketing and Seating Solution, AMPAS used iSolutions' FileMaker-based Online Registration and Credentialing solution to manage over 800 applications for media credentials.

AAPL Trade 122.96 +3.81
Real time quote.
By Ben Charny
Of DOW JONES NEWSWIRES
SAN FRANCISCO (Dow Jones)--Apple Inc. (AAPL) is open to exploring new ways of selling its iPhone, Apple Chief Operating Officer Tim Cook said Wednesday.
He also made bullish comments about the impact of any economic headwinds, and hinted of a bigger iPhone development to come later this month.
Shares of Apple stock were trading up $4.35, or 3.5%, to $127.31 after-hours.
Apple thus far has sold its iPhone, a combination of phone and media player, by giving individual carriers the exclusive rights to sell it in their home country. The strategy has been criticized for limiting the iPhone's potential sales, and leaving potential business on the table. At last report, Apple's sold 4 million iPhones.
"Apple is not married to the single, exclusive-carrier model," Cook said from the stage of a Goldman Sachs investor conference in Las Vegas.
As to any impact by the slowing U.S. economy on Apple, Cook pointed to Apple's healthy revenue and Macintosh computer share growth of late. "I'm not saying that Apple is immune to economic factors," he said.
Cook also hinted that on March 6, Apple will release tools that programmers can use to create downloadable iPhone software, which Apple can then sell through its iTunes stores. The tools were due by the end of February.
Cook said the software developer kit will "make the iPhone even more compelling." Apple on Wednesday began circulating invitations to a March 6 event to discuss the iPhone software roadmap.

Just to get a thrill i checked the March $20 calls.......up 360%, April $20 calls.....up 227%.
I think u have hit on something here watching these morning gappers on good news.
I've not been able to find any news but I'm just about beside myself right now. I bought calls before close over 2.00 out of the money and after hours has me over 2.40 in the money right now. INCREDIBLE!!
As for that cigar, you renting a charter plane to fly you to Cuba to buy a good one??
Have fun with that Bobby.....BTW APPL is now printing $127.20's and CTA is in the next room doing things i cant or wont even describe on here...what a bad visual this is.
Did we miss some news about AAPL? My chart reading can't be that good! LOL
I'm going out for a nice steak dinner and smoke a cigar tonight! Bye guys..........
Boca_Bobby
If what AAPL is doing right now AH is any indicator of tomorrow, I don't think you will have any regrets buying it over GS.
One of the best prospects I have played in quite awhile without any doubt.
Thanks!
Nice Job CTA!!!
Welcome to the "optional" party. LOL
Hey do we need a black tie for this event?
Boca_Bobby
Another winner that I didn't play!
I have a few "Blue Chips" I always watch. Last night I looked at GS also. It was beat up so much and I know that this company is worth a whole lot more than the PPS is dictating!
The $175/Calls we the ones I was looking at! The were chaeper than the AAPL $115/Calls. But I decided to stay with AAPL because I was making money with them.
Anyone see what GS did today? Take a gander at the $175/Calls for March! I think I may be sick....... LOL
$5.00 gain per contract!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's a double folks!!!!!!!! And that ain't no damn pinkie!!
Bottom line is look for good companies that have been beat up. I have been playing straight Calls and Puts but to minimize risk you can always play the spreads as well.
I just happen to be on a hot streak and I have to ride it till there ain't no kick left in dat bull! These gains are unheard of in a "bear market," at least by this cowboy! LOL
We have now seen 4 consecutive days with the DOW showing some green! 3 more days is considered a trend. Have we made it out of that horrible January and look for a better Springtime?
Boca_Bobby
Don't be watching the after hours trading, AAPL up big after hours already.
I ended up buying March 155 puts of POT today at 5.00 on a whim. Still a bit nervous on it but have some profit in it.
I then got inspired by AAPL after watching how much bank you were making and grabbed some march 125 calls at 3.95 near EOD.
Almost can't wait til tomorrow to see how this works out......lol
LOL!!!!!
Are you trying to give me a heart attack?
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Boca_Bobby
I hope u are watching AAPL trade AH....it just hit $124.25
edit....make that $124.66
second edit.....make that $125.30
third edit.....make that $125.75
fourth edit....make that $126 with lots of volume
I had a problem today. If I sold those contracts, I would have been labeled as a "daytrader." So I had to hold overnight. AAPL did so much better than I had hoped for today as I was looking for a PPS to close @ 122.00. It was pushing $123.00 at the end of the day before closing @ $122.96!
I see some smooth sailing now and hope that we can run to $130. So that's about $7 more and a Delta figure of about 35. This means that for every dollar that AAPL shares go up the option price goes up $.35!
7 X .35 = $2.45
Today's last contract price was $10.10.
$10.10 + $2.45 = $12.55 (projected gain)
I bought my contracts @ $7.45.
$12.45 - $7.45 = $5.10 (projected profits)
My commissions for this trans action is under $17 total!
Thats a mere 68% gain projected after commish! ARE YOU KIDDING ME???????
Boca_Bobby
Sorry can't type right now. To busy running around my office and screaming! LOL
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Boca_Bobby
from the looks of things you should be having a really nice day.
OMG!!!! AAPL broke through the $122 price tag!
Go Baby Go.............
Boca_Bobby
AAPL just broke through the $121 barrier!
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Boca_Bobby
U are killing me Bobby, absolutely killing me. Keep posting on these options, i love it and about to take the dive myself.
Well I did it again. This time I got some already in the money. It looked like 118.75 was going to set up as the hard support line for AAPL. So I bought March $115/Calls @ $7.45. If AAPL can push that $122 PPS today I set myself up for another party today!
To figure the break even mark of these contracts use this formula:
Call Strike PPS + Contract PPS = Break Even
$115 + $7.45 = $122.45
So this means that if AAPL closes above $122.45 by the expiration date (3/22/08), there is a profit made if your wanted to exercise the options. Of course I just want to sell my contracts!
Cross'n my fingers!

FSS news and chart
PPS near the bottom of its channel, could be a nice mover today
8:32AM Federal Signal beats by $0.03, beats on revs (FSS) 11.00 : Reports Q4 (Dec) earnings of $0.17 per share, $0.03 better than the First Call consensus of $0.14; revenues rose 3.5% year/year to $351 mln vs the $343.8 mln consensus.
BE news and chart
I played this one awhile back for some gains, I really like how it trades. If news gives it a boost it could be a really nice play today IMO
BearingPoint (BE) announces that the Department of Homeland Security has awarded it a Blanket Purchase Agreement for Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 products and services. BE is one of three firms awarded a five year B.P.A., and D.H.S. estimates a total potential value of approx $180 mln for the three contracts.
nice, very nice. You keep this up you are going to end up with a huge year.
Another 15% Gainer!
Hey guys, I forgot to mention that I also sold out my other contracts (March 120/Calls). I could have had 40% as well on these but I thought AAPL would end the day @ $121 or better. But I will never turn down a profit! All in all a very nice day with AAPL.
I also notice that in premarket AAPL is headed lower again. I will be watching like a hawk. SInce we broke the $120 barrier yesterday, I think a retrace back to the $115.75 area makes me a buyer on the options again!
Why mess with a winner?

RRD news and chart this morning

Co issues in-line guidance for FY08, sees EPS of $3.05-3.15, excluding non-recurring items, vs. $3.14 consensus.
6:27AM Donnelley & Sons to acquire Pro Line Printing; expected to be accretive to earnings in first full year of operations (RRD) 33.49 : Co announces it will acquire Pro Line Printing, a multi-facility, privately held producer of newspaper inserts, for a total consideration of $122 mln. The all cash deal is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to be accretive to RR Donnelley's earnings in the first full year of operations.
I've been looking back over some of the plays which I posted before market open this morning as I gathered news on them. Some had some exceptional moves, mainly GVHR and RSH.
I will be doing more of this in the future as this is a way to react to what the market is doing that day and plan a strategy to make a gain from it.
For instance, what I looked for this morning as I checked news was news of large contracts or financials either beating expectations or coming up short of expectations.
In checking the charts I looked for those that were trading low or downtrending if they had an earnings surprise for a possible long entry, RSH was a good example of this set up. If they missed earnings I looked on the charts for ones that had been trending up or were trading at the top of their channel for a possible short play.
RSH beat what analysts had expected on financials. When looking at the chart they had actually been in a downtrend so I believed that the earnings surprise had not been expected by investors. Needless to say RSH gapped up from yesterday's close of 15.74 and opened at 17.03. From there it ran up to 19.46. That's a 14.3% gain possible if it had been played that precisely. We all know we aren't going to get all of the run but in looking back at the 5 min chart one could have easily gotten in at 17.25 to 17.50 and out at 19.00 that's still over an 8% gain possible.
Hopefully this will open up some opportunities for nice plays in the future
Great job Bobby. Its been a pretty decent week so far, lets keep at it.
Very nice indeed, I definitely like the sound of that play, congrats!!
40% Gainer!!!
Was able to ring the register again in a huge way. Just as predicted, AAPL went down this morning and I took advantage. Here is how my options went down:
3/22/08
Buy 1 March $130/Call @ 1.75 ($181 after commish)
3/26/08
Buy 9 March $130/Call @ 1.29 ($1172 after commish)
3/26/08
Sold 10 March $130/Call @ 1.91 ($1899 after commish)
1899 / 1353 = 1.403 or 40%
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
I also bought some March $120/Calls as well @ 4.25. Still holding those and I am looking for another afternoon run on AAPL!
Boca_Bobby
I just didn't like the way ZOLT or HWAY opened this morning so I went back in bed with APPL. I have been watching it for a few days now and we always seem to get down to the 116 level and then up to the 119 level sometime during the day.
To take maximum benefit I bought options instead of shares. If APPL ends with another greem day, I gonna have a party! LOL
Boca_Bobby
Went in for a small chunk of ARWR @ $2.48 today
WOW! That's crazy! I gotta look at those options!
Boca_Bobby
ZOLT is down in premarket just like I thought it might. It had a huge swing yesterday form $23.35 to $26.38! It was nice and steady all day yesterday. I'm a buyer today but I hope it comes down to $24.50-$25.00 range.
Boca_Bobby
GLOI news and chart
Be careful here, this one only has around 9,659,574 shares issued and outstanding and it looks like most of those are held by insiders and institutional holders. Volume is almost nothing. Could get very interesting to watch though as any pressure would send it skyward in a hurry.
8:33AM GlobalOptions Group renews contract with Gallagher Bassett in deal worth $15 mln (GLOI) 1.88 : Co announces that its Fraud & SIU Services division has signed a three-year contract renewal with Gallagher Bassett Services. GlobalOptions Fraud & SIU unit will serve as a preferred provider of investigative services for Gallagher Bassett and will perform SIU and surveillance services to assist in exposing potential insurance fraud.
GVHR news and chart
8:18AM Gevity beats by $0.19, beats on revs (GVHR) 6.59 : Reports Q4 (Dec) earnings of $0.27 per share, excluding non-recurring items, $0.19 better than the First Call consensus of $0.08; revenues fell 6.1% year/year to $147.0 mln vs the $145.3 mln consensus. Also, Gevity has completed a comprehensive strategic review of its non co-employed offering, Gevity Edge Select, with a decision to exit this market effective immediately in order to pursue profitable growth in its core PEO business.
HWAY trading just a bit over 33.00 in premarket, would have been a nice one to have shorted.
On the other hand, with that much of a sudden drop, pinch will get tighter and this will be an incredible play at some time.
LJPC chart
Sweet looking chart here IMO. Credit for this find goes to Wicked1 over on the pincher plays board as that is where I found it at.
I was just looking at the 5 minute chart of HWAY from yesterday. Word must have come out about the PR! There was a massive sell off over the last 20 minutes or so.
PROCEED WITH CAUTION! I look for a continued drop before the dust settles on this one. There was a double bottom yesterday @ about $44.50. I look for HWAY to hit down there before any recovery.
AIMVHO,
Boca_Bobby

PP still on watch, amazing pinch on the chart, +DI on the ADX starting to turn up ever so slightly, pinch looks like it's starting to quiver just a bit. Full STO starting to turn upwards also
HD news and chart, could be a possible short play here, financials missed consensus and outlook for the year isn't any better.
