We began more than three decades ago with a simple vision: to become the leading manufacturer of injection molded packaging in the United States. That vision has been realized and exceeded. Today, Berry Plastics is comprised of four divisions: Engineered Materials Flexible Packaging Rigid Closed Top Rigid Open Top Milestones 1967 Imperial Plastics established in Evansville, Indiana 1972 Entered the container packaging market 1983 Imperial Plastics purchased by Jack Berry, Sr., renamed Berry Plastics 1987 Berry opens second manufacturing facility in Henderson, Nevada 1988 Berry completes first acquisition: Gilbert Plastics, a New Jersey manufacturer of aerosol overcaps 1995 Entered the drink cup market 1997 Entered the consumer products market with acquisition of Packerware® 1998 Entered the closure market 2005 $1 billon in sales by expanding into bottles, tubes, and prescription vials with acquisition of Kerr® 2006 Apollo Management L.P. and Graham Partners, Inc., purchase Berry Plastics Corporation 2007 Berry Plastics and Covalence Specialty Materials complete merger 2008 Entered wide-mouth bottle market with acquisition of Captive Plastics
