Banco Santander Chile is a Chile-based banking institution. It provides a range of commercial and retail banking services to its customers, including Chilean peso and foreign currency denominated loans to finance a variety of commercial transactions, trade, foreign currency forward contracts and credit lines, and a variety of retail banking services, including mortgage financing. In addition to its traditional banking operations, the Bank offers a variety of financial services, including financial leasing, financial advisory services, mutual fund management, securities brokerage, insurance brokerage and investment management. The Bank’s clients are divided into three segments: Retail, Middle-Market, and Global Banking and Markets. As of December 31, 2010, it operated a network of 504 branches. The Bank’s majority shareholder is Teatinos Siglo XXI Inversiones Ltda, with 41.45% of its interest.
