Ok im done talking with you. I really havnt done an ounce of research here. All you are doing is basing you opinions on share price. You dont thin Warren would taken some profits do you? Noooo he 5x his money there no way he would do that...jeez
'Decline'? Is this what you call it? $11.00 - under $3.00 ?...I see - OK.
'Good Companies' and BBDYF shouldn't be used together. BYDDF is not a 'good company'.
I think you need to review my posts here for the last year. Most are linked to info regarding this 'good company'.
Perhaps you can explain to anyone who still is here why you need to pump such a sled ?
I go with the actual performace and the news articles about this company.
Who do you think they want to listen too? A guy who bought in at $7.00 or Vector Vest who rates this sled at $2.15 ?
Warren Buffitt you may say? Honestly I bet Warren wishes he never heard of this company.
-bunny-
I agree some what on the decline but does it really matter if they are copied designs? everything america does is a copy of what the rest of the world does. good companies learn from others. the only real point is if the company can make a profit....uh yaaa i think so.
>>are you basing you opinion on the electric cars or on the company as whole?<<
From my numerous previous posts I have shown links where the companys electric cars designs are nothing buy stolen ideas from others.
Also on their 'reporting' it has been shown that they use 'creative accounting principles'.
Back in the day the Russian's had a saying about their gov't; 'The fish rots from the head'.
For me, I would say that I don't trust the whole company.
How can a stockholder 'trust' a company when valuations have fallen 75% ?
Were you not the one stating what a great deal $7.00 pps was ?
Respectfully Yours,
-bunny-
are you basing you opinion on the electric cars or on the company as whole?
They are dead on the battlefield of BYDDF. Oh, and the moderator is MIA and probably got killed too....but who knows as The Bunker is empty.
Looks like the position for 'Fuhrer' is open.
-bunny-
>>Yea im kicking my self big time. Especially since its such a fundamentally sound company.<<
Zooba, don't kick yourself...you were 'taken-In' on fraudulent data. Warren Buffet was also by his 'inside advisors'.
It's still a 'story to be told'.
Look, anytime you see a 75%+ collapse of Share value you got to see there IS SOMETHING FUNDAMENTALLY WRONG.
I only have one question remaining;
How long will it take until the long suffering shareholders on this scam get themselves a proper Law firm as did the 'RIMMer's' ?
http://ih.advfn.com/p.php?pid=nmona&article=48082950
-bunny-
Yea im kicking my self big time. Especially since its such a fundamentally sound company. Thought it would be important to note accumulation has been steady and it has just recently jumped up a bit. we have also bounced of the lows twice now, on the 10th and today...I think its time to seriously keep an eye on this...
Well-well...it seems like everyone has bailed on this sled and this forum is a ghost now.
Since it has pieced below $3.00 - and there is no massive support seen anywhere- you can only say one thing -LOOK OUT BELOW !
It has to be hard on those shareholders who bought into this scam not that long ago at $7.- $10. a share. Even at a $6. deal your 'investment' is over 50% gone. Yikes!

Thoughts on Byd Co.'s Shanghai Listing
http://seekingalpha.com/article/268769-thoughts-on-byd-co-s-shanghai-listing?source=yahoo
'Massive Support' ? Right! We'll see if it's there at $3.00
-bunny-
there is massive support right around here. it will be interesting to see what happens
I have no quantitative data but, this one is coming around the bend and it would be wrong not to buy it. The big whigs at B.H. have given it a little more backbone than it had before with their recent comments. BYD has so much lying under the surface that is being incubated and tested and yet to be exploited. This is an easy call in my opinion.
>> The company did not provide a year-earlier comparison
figure, but local newspapers said the March sales figure was a
decline of 41 percent from a year earlier.<<

Another clear example of how BYD 'Skews The Numbers' as it continues it's long downward slide toward $3.00
-bunny-
Byd March Sales up 51%
http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/04/07/idUSH9E7EH07A20110407
don't need to write a paragraph to explain it.
SALES ARE UP
What I will say is I believe the stock is currently overvalued. BYDDF is now constantly in the news in not a positive light.
>>What seems clear here is that Munger wanted to “talk Warren into buying into the damn thing”; that he got Sokol to visit BYD with that very end in mind; that Buffett would never have bought his stake in BYD without Munger’s active participation; and that in the wake of Berkshire’s investment, Munger’s stake skyrocketed in value.<<
http://search.yahoo.com/r/_ylt=A0oGdSrK5Z1NVD0Av8VXNyoA;_ylu=X3oDMTE1OTQ1ODk5BHNlYwNzcgRwb3MDMgRjb2xvA3NrMQR2dGlkA0FDQlkwMV8xNDM-/SIG=133kjm6g8/EXP=1302215210/**http%3a//blogs.reuters.com/felix-salmon/2011/04/05/charlie-mungers-byd-conflicts/
See: other posts of wikkiLeaks disclosures.
Yes, I know you say this is 'The Bottom', but you've been saying that since you bought in at $7.15.
Why wasn't $6.00 or $5.00 a bottom?
The word is the car is filled with others designs and the quality is 'cheap'. (again, read past posts)
So what is the difference between what Sokol did and what Munger did by 'Front Loading' Warren Buffet with BYD? - I'll tell you.
1. Munger held BYDDF longer than Sokol held Lubrizol.
2. Munger had Sokol go to Warren to make the pitch for it.
(Then Munger gives the favor back and gives 'The Nod' to Sokol's Lubrizol.)
Please tell me that you know how this 'works' in the 'Real World'?
...as usual the retail stock holders of this sled ($6-$10) are taking it on the chin. While the insiders are saying; 'we did nothing wrong'. -HA!
-NOTHING NEW UNDER THE SUN
-bunny-
SO wait, based on the valuation the stock is only trading at 1.75x?? that seems incredibly low doesnt it? and to base the valuation only on BYDs automobile division is pretty ignorant based on everything else this company does wouldnt you say?
BYDDF current valuation by VectorVest:
----------------------------------------------------------------
BYD Co Ltd (BYDDF)
$3.79
0.03 (-0.79%) Friday, April 01, 2011
Close
BYDDF is overvalued compared to its Price of $3.79 per share, has below average safety, and is currently rated a Sell.
Stock Symbol:
BYD Co Ltd (BYDDF)
Company Information
Business: BYD Company Limited engages in the research, development, manufacture, and sale of rechargeable batteries, automobiles and related products, handset components, and LCD and other electronic products. Its Rechargeable Battery and Other Products segment offers lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries and nickel batteries principally for mobile phones, electric tools, and other portable electronic instruments.
Capital Appreciation
Value: Value is a measure of a stock's current worth. BYDDF has a current Value of $2.14 per share. Therefore, it is overvalued compared to its Price of $3.79 per share. Value is computed from forecasted earnings per share, forecasted earnings growth, profitability, interest, and inflation rates. Value increases when earnings, earnings growth rate and profitability increase, and when interest and inflation rates decrease. VectorVest advocates the purchase of undervalued stocks. At some point in time, a stock's Price and Value always will converge.
RV (Relative Value): RV is an indicator of long-term price appreciation potential. BYDDF has an RV of 0.60, which is poor on a scale of 0.00 to 2.00. This indicator is far superior to a simple comparison of Price and Value because it is computed from an analysis of projected price appreciation three years out, AAA Corporate Bond Rates, and risk. RV solves the riddle of whether it is preferable to buy High growth, High P/E stocks, or Low growth, Low P/E stocks. VectorVest favors the purchase of stocks with RV ratings above 1.00.

Berkshire Hathaway who's a 10% owner of BYD, #3 man, David Sokol, has just 'resigned' under a cloud of suspicion of 'front loading' a company that Berkshire later bought into.
In a major interview today on CNBC David Sokol said this about Charlie Munger who is Buffet's #2 man and about BYDDF:
>> 7:58 AM: Sokol notes that Charlie Munger had a 3 percent stake in BYD before Munger suggested to Sokol that he look at the Chinese electric car-maker.<<
http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=2&ved=0CBsQFjAB&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.cnbc.com%2Fid%2F42355608&ei=tCOVTcPVM5DCsAO189TBBQ&usg=AFQjCNH5JICD1N2RAe9C0kpNiSh_pM8e8Q
A very important insight of how Warren 'Invested' in BYDDF after his #2 man Charlie Munger had already bought 3% of the company.
So according to David Sokol, he did nothing wrong.
That can be up for debate of course but it opens up a very interesting 'real world' insight of how Warren Buffitt bought a 10% stake in a high risk Chinese company that normally would not happen.
Post is ALL about BYD (BYDDF).
A serious development here that should be of interest to stock holders of BYDDF. I ask other posters for their opinions of these 'fresh' revelations.
-bunny-
ACCUMULATION look at the charts. technically one of the biggest indicators foreshadowing the future of the SP.
this is the bottom
All posts should be confined to discussions revolving around BYD.
Agreed.
And as we know, BYD will be featured at the annual B/H shareholders conference, and will, in my opinion, receive a bump from it.
Soon is the time to buy.
Don't wait till the end of the month, imo.
u buy before those indicators are reached. this wants to go up if it keeps trying to break through
Just look at the daily without any added TA...not much deviation from trend for at least a year. down, down, down...
If you add the 50ma, you can see the declining 50 as a point of strong resistance. Since last October it has touched the 50 a few times (or come close) only to fall back to the underlying downtrend.
Conclusion...not time to buy, at least not yet
No it doesn't actually, not even a little.
Parsar is flipping back to buy
Macd will recross
Trix is moving to cross
Full Stochastics turning strong
dont worry. they will have to have stricter safety regulations if they expect to come to north america.
based on how we have bounced of the lows a couple times i would say we have hit bottom. if you are here to invest dont try to time this so much. just get in and leave it. this will be worth 40 bucks in a couple years...
I'm here at this board because I'm interested in a possible investment. The question here is when to invest. The stock has been beaten up pretty badly, so are we near the bottom or not? Why?
>>its funny how all those knock offs in china that have been "ripped off" are of better quality and value than the original products! thanks to increased economies of scale chinese companies can do this. maybe i am lost and do not understand your point. what difference is it to you? <<
'Knock-Offs are better quality? Perhaps. But not a BYDDF Knock-Off. It's worse quality to the point it's dangerous!

I can post many more articles for you but it's clear that you won't read them. perhaps your a company rep. However the bleeding stockholders all know what BYD is all about now.
As 'noretreat' mentioned that Buffett can still get out with a handsome profit, but what about all those poor stockholder that you and your crew have been pumping at $7, $8, $9 and $10. ps ?
When I looked into this CONpany inquired by a friend of mine, I knew something was seriously wrong. I looked for answers. They came through Big Time thanks to WikkiLeaks.
I don't pretend to know what the future for BYD will be, however it's clear to me that BYD will not get a Import License into the U.S. That should be clear to almost everyone, except for those few deep in the bunker with Dr. Strangelove.
I seem to disagree with on on all your insights except this one:
>>This could drop to 3 bucks for all i care. within 5 years this will be a 100 dollar stock. << (post #65)
Three bucks will be here...I know your not worried. - Great-
Hundred bucks? -Yea! Purple Haze Bro -
-bunny-
man how many times have i heard that wal-mart stuff. the investments china is making into their economy is clearly rubbing off onto other western countries. they will force us all to innovate. when a company has control a low resources dependency then they usually go well. BYD owns the the lithium, they, own the battery production process, and they own the car. i heard they want to get into energy generation as well which could potentially directing power their batteries. this company is poised to explode. this will be the apple of electric cars, except not all of BYD products will be a total rip offs.
You obviously do all your shopping at Wal-Mart, enjoying all the wonderful quality items.
Everyone in China wants to buy a Buick! I thought everyone here knew that.
don't forget that Warren is still up around 2x (according to one of the articles I read). he could get out with a tidy profit in the 3's.
once again no cares and neither should you. china is waay far ahead than the US you realize that right? This is business. Tough luck that somebody's product got reverse engineered. its called capitalism and if you dont like it move to north korea. im glad BYD is doing what it needs to do to become the worlds largest electric car dealer. reverse engineered is totally legal. its funny how all those knock offs in china that have been "ripped off" are of better quality and value than the original products! thanks to increased economies of scale chinese companies can do this. maybe i am lost and do not understand your point. what difference is it to you?
They are aggressive...
Fact 1. Sales increased 10% in 2010, they wanted 600,000 units, they got 500,000, they are animals and set the bar to high.
Fact 2. They are ridiculously profitable, profits were down substantially in the 4th quarter, yet they still profited over 13mil,....impressive.
Fact 3. They are being FEATURED at the B/H annual share holders conference this year.
These are the facts, and they are undisputed.
http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/03/14/byd-idUSTOE72D03420110314
Yes, Wikkileaks just made all this up because they got orders from the Illuminati to bring down the Greatest Car company in Ze Verld who was trying to break the 100 year 'electric car' suppression conspiracy.
Quick! - get Jessie Ventura to do a show on BYD !
In the mean time for the long suffering stockholders, It's clear who your leaders are here:
You can call my posts 'emotional' all you want. The reality is I posted clips from numerous articles about this troubled company.
You say Buffett is going forward cause ..yada-yada.
Yes, Warren Buffet wants to be a part owner in a company that does this:
>>Other questionable business practices include partnering with foreign automakers only to steal their part designs, ordering initial shipments of parts only to then cancel, while reverse-engineering and then mass-producing them for wider use in BYD’s own vehicles. And to make matters worse, the new parts are often of shoddy, or even unsafe, quality.<<
http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=4&sqi=2&ved=0CCYQFjAD&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.autoguide.com%2Fauto-news%2F2011%2F03%2Fwikileaks-notes-illegal-dangerous-practices-by-byd-putting-buffetts-investment-in-doubt.html&ei=PpOFTbbwCZP6sAOwrunyAQ&usg=AFQjCNH_nzZjAZpfSBdnNHXhGC2qsEYsqw
Yes...it's BYD who are the crooks. They conned Warren's partners and they went to Warren with 'The Deal' and unfortunatley for him...'he went for it'. Something he always stayed away from flim-flam, flash-in-the-pan, here today-gone tomorrow, high risk companies like BYD.
-bunny-
buffet also wouldnt be invested if they werent doing this:
http://www.engadget.com/2011/03/17/byd-motors-sneaks-on-to-american-market-could-make-us-debut-off/
LOL that it? clearly your emotionally based opinions on that wikileak article are driving you? do you think anyone who isnt an idiot would not take that with a grain of salt? hasnt there been a massive movement to prevent electric cars for over 100 years? that article means nothing. no one cares and if you do, you are lost. that is what any great company does-they reverse engineer. if a company wants to cry and wine then do a better job and making better low cost products, and or do a better job at concealing your technology. this is actually what drives industry growth. someone copies then someone else copies that copy to make a better copy!!! thats how innovation works. sorry but im not worried. buffet already said he is committed to BYDs strategy
>>im here for the long haul. im gonna buy more once a couple other play pan out. if people have done their DD they will be buying too. im thinkin we need to bounce off the lows a bit first. but the biggest indicator that makes this stock an ultra buy other than the cheap SP is this has been accumulated steadily up. guess who is buying? Buffet is. you can count on that. <<
I see you removed your 'Buy at $4.00' line out. Like that's going to make the rest of it in the long run right? I especially like this one: >> if people have done their DD they will be buying too.<<
I mean, come on...what people? People with no brains that can't read?
All 'they' need to do is google 'Buffett WikkiLeaks BYD' and they will get all the lastest discosures about this company that they need. Try it- it's a real eye opener !
Here's one to start you off but there are pages more:

Here's what I posted just Tuesday:>>Down 9% at open...trying hard to cling on to a '4' in front of the number. Yikes!
If it breaks $4.00 support - look out below !<<
Currently DOW +138.....BYDDF -2.75%
That must be a nice job at the BYD Office in Los Angeles. Do they play golf all day?
-bunny-
you are wrong. this is what china does. they reverse engineer everything. its not illegal its actually a great business model. that is all fear mongering bull. they already have an office in LA. they will be coming to north america. dont even for a second think you know that buffet is looking for an exit strategy. this company is very profitable. they have a cradle to the grave production process for almost all of their products. their cars are affordable practical and proven.
Your link is corrupted....oddly.
Approaching a good buying point imo...
If it gets to 4...gobble.
