Thanks for the update, shalom.
i am keep eye on this one coming wk > today got news out (( huge discovery )) tamar/dalit field
Its in orbit.
http://www.globes.co.il/finance/instrument/instrument.asp?InstrumentID=90&Feeder=0&Lang=EN&Tab= has financial data, and they have .01 shekels/share earned for 4th qtr.
200.2 / 100 = 2.002 NIS (oh so that's 1 for 1 shares then in American, 2.002 * .2907 = $0.58 US) equals the price and P/E for the 4th qtr are equal.
For the year, NIS .06 or 2.002/.06 = P/E of NIS 33.367 , right?
can you calculate the price/earnings ratio on Israeli exchange. The P/E is very high on the American Exchange.
Trading again, 700 shares in America. http://www.delekenergy.co.il/?CategoryID=181 has them at 200.20 open and close with low of 197 and high of 201.80 (I think they were at 210 when I started the board).
Volume of 5,596,070 shares. Volume in NIS 11,203,092. Today's WSJ has the shekel at $0.2907 or NIS 3.4396 (Friday's close, -2.7%).
200.20 * 5...mil = $1,120,333,214 shekels (old) / 100 = close to their NIS volume.
So does that mean the American shares are a tenth of the Israeli shares? Or for every 100 shares you are buying 10 in Israel? That doesn't make sense, since the other formula seems to equate the price.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_Israeli_shekel
So that means it trades in the Israeli agora which is a 100th of a shekel. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israeli_new_shekel
So buying 700 shares here is buying 70 shares there in agoras, right? Obviously I didn't work hard enough on the pricing before.
Since I can only public reply, here is more info on Spintronics http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=64572791 (Science spin-offs board)
The P/E ratio is still high, have you compared it to any other exchanges?
American trading today. Must've needed to sell. That's the problem with a thinly traded stock (its like gold and silver; while the price may be X you get X - whatever).
Deutsche Bank Bullish On Leviathan Partners (This also validates what I was thinking on Avner 210/share being old sheckle)

Okay if I ever find that Canadian company. The Applied Nano... looks like they use electron spins for light creation and not quantum computing.
This is what I have on Sprintronics (perhaps Quantum Computing will yield us better results?):

Let me know what that play looks like, could always use another play.
Thanks for the Spintronics find. I haven't found the Candian company yet and all trys at the symbol you gave failed (don't worry about) but I keep looking.
Here are a few I found from an article on seekingalpha's website
The following are the players in this field excluding universities, private firms and companies not traded on U.S. Exchanges. More information will be added as it becomes available and by those who wish to participate in this investment theme.

I will look into this
I only found university work on the nano-computing, Spintronics, is the famed computing with electrons by the spin.... I never found a company but many with many university deals. It was another e-mail with the pay a few grand to find out.
No, I doubt it. What I find strange is that they use the old sheckle instead of the NIS. Since they are basically 52% owned by Delek, they don't care about the price or shares/outstanding. They don't understand about the American stock market or they would ADR this. Notice that they expect the non-lev. well to run out in 2013, so these new wells must produce to survive. I only have 15 posts a day and ran out last night, I was not ignoring you.
What is the ticker?
Did you ever look into Spintronics and figure out that company? Even the Geek at BestBuy here thinks Spintronics will replace computers in 1.5 years!
Why does AVOGF carry such a high price multiple. Do you believe the stock will be restructured soon? A reverse split?
Was not able to verify. I found a .cn but haven't looked for a .to as the .cn one was some-kind-of shell company according to Bloomberg (which was the Google search response that looked like it had something but after clicking on it ... it was a waste of time (no info). But will look as I make time, I really don't want to invest in a foreign grey list stock. Every damn Candian stock I've owned has gone belly-up. Rhombic and PCBM. So if they don't report I could care less, but those two reported, so what difference does it make? Fell free to change the header information.
Check your PM if you have not already done so. What do you think?
Think I have it. Do you have PM
Forgot to warn you those listing change order during trading hours so it's best to wait until 30 after closing bell. (sorted by % gain)
Great minds think alike. I will certainly reciprocate should I find the elusive Canadian oil co.
One other thing some of the pumps for our money to find out are a few months behind so one can't do what I'm/you are doing ... trying to find it, so anything close within a few dollars then check price history for .75 withing the last year.
No that's how I found Avner looking for the Canadian promo. I was going to look at the Google Finance oil stock listings and stopping and check all stocks that were in the price range, just hadn't done it yet. I was pretty happy with TEXOF, until the thought of no way to sell without a market, but a long term hold would surely be okay. Anyway back to the Google Finance.... http://www.google.com/finance?catid=60918252 let me know if you find it and I'll do the same, thanks.
There is a guy at agora financial that is pumping a Canadian oil services company doing business in Israel that he wants $650 to let us in on. Market cap 75 mil and trading around 75 cents. Any clues to who that might be?

Clueless too, just started myself after finding them on rigzone or someplace like that, that someone posted for news at TECO or CAVR board. Been looking for Eagleford plays, that are cheap. Like PKD (Parker Drilling) and Texcf and AU firm (243 mil o/s but 50 mil/yr in production and growing, just no market makers). So neither I've bought yet.
I saw the outstanding shares as well. bid/ask spread is huge. I just started watching this one. How does it trade?
Yes and I found out that they have 3.3 billion shares outstanding according to my trading account. Kinda' hugh. With drilling halted for part replacement and high o/s .... it's like so what's the rush?
Corrections welcomed.
Israeli pink sheet company in on the Leviathan oil find 22% and NG 33%.
38% held by Delek Energy & 18% held by Delek Group.
http://www.delek-group.com/Holdings/EnergyInfrastructure/AvnerOilExploration.aspx
It appears the price on their stock market is in old Israli sheckles. So 210.00 * exchange rate for NIS / 10000 = .64/share US.
