99.9% of the time the greys is the end, just the facts, good bad or indifferent.
I am lucky and not invested here either, I just saw many posts making it sound like the actions yesterday by the sec were no biggie.
GTT, not invested here, not going to later either. just wanted to point out the grey market is not the point of no return. gl.
cool, then load the boat on AVNE ~ not me "
Just wait till the 10 days are over, then we can talk
A suspension IS NEVER A GOOD THING no matter how people paint the picture/
I filed a complaint with the sec about that absolutely MISLEADING fraudulent press release.
AVNE why have the insiders not addressed the trading suspension to the shareholders? b/c they are crooks.imo'
the sec has outlined these old tactics time and time again. where were these idiot savants when the language came out years ago?
Well if you want to know, I was waiting till the deal actually close before I got in
How's the AVNE moneytrain working out?
Has AVNE gone to the moon yet?
Are you still in AEGY?? Send me a PM I'm still in hoping for the really big run.. Is it a dream or what??
Ha! Just for you! Lol. I just think this isn't as some want it to seem, meaning I don't think the suspensions will stop w AVNE, we shall see though .
Not fir folks on the other two boards. It's going to get a lil messy me thinks
This is going to be fun...
All the symbols are in the same file drawer in Pasadena Ca, all 18 of them. The SEC will see these are all part of a broader scheme used to " acquire" each other , " merge " with each other. And all to create PRs to generate liquidity for share moves. It's rather simple when the registered agent is the same for all. I think this shut down play is just started and AV is just the first domino.
Maybe so some insight will be shed from someone who probably knows more about OTC / SEC than all of IHub, and perhaps folks will realize that when they delve into these plays the risk is real, as well as why and how the shutdowns occur.
Has it occurred to you that people caught in the suspension need to know what's going on, and what will happen when the stock reopens for trading.
It's more interested investors from AEGY and SKTO over here working out if they are going to be next
Janice, all my plays now days are with house money, from setting long on another stock. just like the combo of Frank Gomez & Jeff Benz, will take my chances with them .gl
Yep. There were P/R's flying with Iequity to start it off, then avne, AEGY, Then Skto. Lol that made everyone wondering WTF is going on.. Should be interesting how they answer to rectify.. BUT LIFE GOES ON.....
janice shell, pleasure to post back to you, knew you would catch on, just not that fast. gl~
I think they also put out a misleading PR given it had to be corrected by another involved company. Perhaps that was the trigger for the suspension.
It was a foreign issuer just beginning to trade in the U.S. It was on the Greys briefly while it waited for FINRA to approve its Form 211.
The companies you're interested in are formerly SUSPENDED companies. See the list here:
http://www.sec.gov/litigation/suspensions.shtml
Were those suspended by the SEC? I don't see them on Renee's list. Most likely they were companies that started out on the Grey Market. Big difference.
Considering that the current statistics are about 1 in 1000 make that step...most don't see it as a "good deal".
GTT, SPIHF went from the greys to otcqx last fall.
Good deal thanks...
It's automatic and will happen in a few days.
It always happens...
There is a rule that if there is no sponsoring MM for more than 4 days I believe, it automatically goes to the Grey Markey. lately OTC has not even waited that long to show the Grey Market status on there web site..
DICK is not who he was portrayed to be........
Maybe the companies Benz represents will follow in AVNE's foot steps and be suspended as well.
Perhaps the only reason they haven't is because the SEC got here early, but is catching the bigger fish over there.
Heck why they are at it, bring that POS Lt. Gov in for questioning. He aided and abetted these bastards. I'm sure they made DICK believe it was real easy to show a lack of respect for shareholders.
I don't play the "I told you so" game. It pisses me off, though I'm sure the people holding worth-less shares are the ones that are really steamed. I'm pissed for them.
Besides, MMJ is a stupid business idea for a public company. MMJ in CA is NON-PROFIT!!!
Do stocks have to go on grey market when they come out of suspension?
Yes. Always. There are no exceptions. OTCMarkets will show it as a Grey by Friday, or Monday at the latest.
Do stocks have to go on grey market when they come out of suspension? I thought that it was usually stated in the suspension if that was definitely going to happen?
Sad but true, them's the facts there.
"temporary suspension"
then greys
then dies over time
EVERY TICKER is the same, even the ones I owned and hoped were different.
When AVNE starts to trade on the greys, 0.03-0.06 is likely and then in time subs and then trips.
A GREY ticker never turns out to be a good thing.
Yes we know... If you are implying that they will get a Market Maker by simply filing a form that would be wrong. A MM will not touch a SEC suspended stock. To much risk for way to little...
It's already way to late for "proof" from the company...
The SEC suspension is to help protect future investors. Not those already invested.
some information for everyone...
SEC Trading Suspensions to Protect Investors
The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is authorized under federal law to suspend trading in any stock for a period of up to 10 business days. The SEC issues a suspension when it believes that the investing public may be at risk. Many factors influence the SEC’s decision. A very important one is a company’s failure to keep up the required filing of periodic reports—such as annual and quarterly reports—that provide the public with information about the company’s business, corporate outlook and financial performance to date. Another factor is the quality of the publicly available information, particularly if it appears to be inaccurate. The SEC will also consider the trading activity in a stock, evaluating who is actively trading and whether market manipulation may be taking place.
Once the SEC decides to suspend trading, it will issue an order of suspension and announce the reasons(s) for its decision and the actual dates. If the reason is a lack of current information, the SEC will state when the company last filed public reports. This information provides an indication of how stale available information is. Current and past trading suspensions are available on the SEC’s website.
What Happens After a Trading Suspension Ends?
Historically, most companies subject to trading suspensions by the SEC have been quoted in the over-the counter (OTC) market on the OTC Bulletin Board or other broker-dealer operated systems prior to the suspension—and most SEC suspensions are based on a lack of current information about the company. The end of a trading suspension does not mean that quoting and trading automatically start again for OTC stocks. Instead, certain requirements in SEC Rule 15c2-11 must be met. A broker must also file a form with FINRA that needs to be approved before quoting can resume. The broker can file the form after it obtains and reviews current information about the company, including:
the company’s organization, operations and certain control affiliates;
the title and class of securities outstanding and being traded; and
the company’s most recent balance sheet and profit and loss and retained earnings statement.
The broker filing the form must have a reasonable basis for believing the information is accurate and that it comes from reliable sources. A broker generally cannot quote the stock or solicit or recommend the stock to any investor until the form is approved. After approval, the broker can begin quoting—and other brokers may also quote the stock relying, or "piggybacking," on the first broker’s quote without filing the form or reviewing the company information on their own. Be aware that the SEC’s ability to continue a trading suspension indefinitely is strictly limited. As a result, the lifting of a trading suspension does not mean that the SEC’s concerns have been addressed and no longer apply.
The SEC won't be saying anything at all. Not for a long time, if ever.
Disagree. I like to wait for proof from the company's to see what the deal is before PASSING JUDGEMENT. It will be interesting what all parties have to say...
Everyone wants be a hero and make uneducated comments which they are entitled to.
Many of us are quite "educated" in these matters, having followed hundreds of suspensions. We know what happens.
And what happens is that when the suspension expires--no, it will not be lifted early; they never are--it will trade on the Grey Market, where MMs may not make a market or publish quotes. It will probably stay there forever.
Do not imagine that AVNE is somehow "different'. They never are.
No worries. Let's see how they rectify it. Everyone wants be a hero and make uneducated comments which they are entitled to. But until we get info from the horses mouth, opinions are FLUFF. I have a small position here, no big deal. As for AEGY. They have alot of bills to pay and alot of shares to dump. It will go lower. GL Grab your boots and hang-on lol....
Given that almost every single suspended pink in the last 5 or six years is still a grey market stock and many of those are now sitting at T1 no bid....I think a lot of investors in those stocks would vehemently disagree with you.
As a practical matter, SEC suspensions are a death knell to an OTC issue.
Bones,
Your honest opinion Marine to Marine would you, or are you willing to take a chance? I want to get back in in the worst way, but fear the SEC suspension. Like I said I got caught in one of these in the past which I am sure many have. Not good!!
Possibly I will set a limit price on re-entry. How far do you see AEGY going down between now and Friday? You have called the pps so well in previous weeks almost like you knew exactly what was happening and when. Must have an eye out for these pennies, unlike me! :)
Well look at AEGY price today...it will go down further..
You guys make a mountain out of a molehill, wherever you go. Relax and wait for details, till you give uneducated advice...
Why pretend like it's not a big deal?
Goes to the Greyzzz with no bid or ask that will ever show again on L2 and will probably drop 80%+ first day when it starts "trading" again...

Everyone Relax. .The Securities and Exchange Commission (“Commission”)
announced the temporary
suspension
They always come off a 10 day SEC suspension on the Grey Market.
The Major brokers will allow you to trade though some may require you to call the order in. I know that TDAmeritrade will allow online trading of these stocks after trading resumes and they are moved to the Grey Market.
Most folks will get a chance to sell if there is some volume though not likely at a PPS they would like.
So, you don't think this will affect AEGY in any fashion?
lol... No worries. I enjoy a bump in the road... Many stock too trade..
Exactly correct janice shell, it is very unfortunate but like you said they typically come off suspension on the grey market. Then most brokers won't allow buying or selling with the ticker. In this case selling since nobody ever buys in the greys.
I feel bad for all that got caught up in this one, and hopefully it ends better than it did for me. Not to scare anyone, but I lost everything. It still shows as part of my portfolio, but can't do anything to get rid off it. Makes me sick every time I see it when I log on.
Next up to bat, SKTO and AEGY...eom
do let us know if you talk to him
do you still think that they will buy 100% of the avne grey sheet stock ?
Bones,
Any thoughts on how or if this will affect AEGY? I was already caught in a company that was suspended by the SEC, and it is unfortunate. They almost always end the same, when they come off of suspension they typically end up in the grey market, and the shares are usually locked from buying and selling by most brokers.
What are your thoughts on this? This is crazy timing the day after the merger is announced with SKTO and AEGY. Real bummer. I am not going to lie, and sold in fear in AEGY but am thinking about re-entering. Already lost quite a bit, but willing to get back in. However, maybe I will wait a few days and see.
That Henry Jan fellow has not returned a one of my phone calls after calling him numerous times over the past several weeks.. He sounds like no good in my eyes, without truly even knowing him. IMHO..
