OT: .guys beware!!!
A "heads up" for you and any of your guy friends who may be regular Home Depot customers. Over the last month I became a victim of a clever scam while out shopping. Simply going out to get supplies has turned out to be quite traumatic. Don't be naive enough to think it couldn't happen to you. Here's how the scam works: Two seriously good-looking 18 or 19-year-old girls come over to your car as you are packing your shopping into the trunk. They both start wiping your windshield with a rag and Windex, with their breasts almost falling out of their skimpy Tee-shirts. It is impossible not to look. When you thank them and offer them a tip, they say "No" and instead ask you for a ride to another Home Depot. You agree and they get in the back seat. On the way, they start having sex with each other. Then one of them climbs over into the front seat and performs oral sex on you, while the other one steals your wallet. I had my wallet stolen September 4th, 8th, 10th, twice on the 15th, 17th, 18th, three times just yesterday, and very likely again this upcoming weekend. Again - please beware!!
It became clear to me now that before the split i owned 16000 shares at 0,07 and now i have 160 shares at 0,70. It simply means that my money is gone. Why should it be positive...?
I am positive about the Reverse split. I had quite a few shares and they were suddenly divided a factor of 100. I talked to the Broker and drilled down as far as I could with them.
This was suddenly, and apparently secrety done by the company and the TA. Previously the company according to their latest Financial Report showed approximately 18 million shares as of the end of June. If that was the float right before the Reverse split then we should only have a grand total of 180,000 shares in the entire float right now.
The stock has barely traded since this Reverse split took place and the Bid has been around $.55 and the Ask has been anywhere from $1.50 to $2.00. One other oddity I noticed is the Ask has been much smaller in size than the Bid shown.
I am leaning to the company possibly doing this to catch a good deal of naked shorts with their hand in the cookie jar. Imagine if there are several million shares that were naked shorted and now they don't have ceritificates or actual shares that they borrowed from initially? They only would have a pool of 180,000 shares total then to buy from. Major ouch if this is the case for all naked shorts. If this is the case I have no idea how high the stock could get with less than 200,000 shares total to be traded.
Right now this stock does not appear to have hit very many radar screens about the potential of what we could see in near future. If you go back and look at this stock earlier this year it was amazing how the company produced all sorts of PR's and ran this stock up 50 times over what it was initially trading in less than a month's time. They obviously know how to do the PR's and get momo going. If they indeed have some quantity of naked shorters caught in a trap this could get crazy.
Most of what I posted above is speculation and opinion since I still do not know why the Reverse Split came on a relatively small float to begin with. The one thing I do know for sure is there was a Reverse split of 100:1 and it came suddently and unnanounced.
Are you sure about the 1/100 reverse split?
In that case we are moving higher.
I'm also wondering when it will be possible to trade those shares again. It can take more than 2 weeks, let's hope it will be worth our patience.
A Reverse split of 100 to 1. No news PR out at all. I had my shares split by 100 that I owned. I was told by my Broker that it was TA ordered. Outside of that there is little other info they could find.
If the share float that was publicly known prior to the split still stands then there should only be 180,000 total shares now in the float. That is a very, very small amount of shares. Volume has dropped way off with so few shares now available. The spread is really whacko right now with the low float and very low volume. Each of the last two days it appears the MM's have tried to show a real low close. Yesterday I noticed they closed the price at $.55 but then had trades less than a minute after the close going for $2.00.
One hunch that I have is possibly they are trying to toast what could be a bunch of naked shorts on the stock? I am not sure why else they would Reverse Split such a lower float stock to begin with? I believe this stock is one to watch int he coming two weeks. I am wondering if they will wait a week or so and then start a PR blitz that could totally crush naked shorts that were left hanging out there when they changed the ticker symbol and executed this Reverse Split? What I am wondering is if there were for example 2 million naked shorts out there when they suddenly and unexpectedly did this Reverse Split that now these naked shorts still have to do a 1 for 1 cover even though there now is a much smaller float to find shares from?
My question for anyone out there that might know is for example if 2 million naked shorted shares existed prior to this Reverse Split which appears to have taken the total OS share count to 180,000 then do they still have to find 2,000,000 shares to cover since they did not have real stock ownership in the first place? My reasoning is all of us who owned the shares got 1/100 of the share count we used to own, but these naked shorts if they do exist would nto get their naked shorts split back by 100 but instead would still have to cover the same amount they were short? Hope that makes sense. If my hunch is correct then this could be one massive short squeeze real soon. As a shareholder there was no warning for this Reverse split and still has been no explanation. The real anemic volume is showing that there are few shares available to be traded. If there are shorts caught right now, how long do they have before they have to find real shares under the new name to cover?
What has happened over here? Anyone knows more about the stock split?
we need some more of the same volume to day, very low float, this could run with some nice ask volume
Any comments on this P&F Chart from StockCharts?
http://stockcharts.com/def/servlet/SC.pnf?c=abde,P
I have never seen one with a larger predicted run from present price to targeted price. That is a 100 X multiplier to get there. Obviously ABDE would need to release some major news. On thta front little has come out in a long time from the company. Anyone have any ideas what Projects they are currently working on?
above 50 dma , hope it can hold and bounce off with heavy volume
Bid up to .025. Stairstepping higher indeed.
Will ABDE ever get in gear?
This chart shows amazing price potential.

I own shares here, but wondering what management has up its sleeve to get things rolling again pps wise? Management owns most of the shares so one would think they have biggest incentive to see shareowner value escalate.
You know the rules on OTC? It will keep on dropping as
long as strong buying continues.
Does someone know how to find out how many selling/buying volume we had today?
Good volume today so far how many shares does that guy have? 630,000 traded so far today.
RSI is buried. This thing is gonna turned into a coiled spring at some point. All about the timing.
I'm buying more tomorrow and friday if it stays down here.
MM's moving down to .01. HDSN still pushing the ask lower. Wouldnt be suprised to see a fake floor set up at .01
creating a hard shake down to subville; then a strong
push higher.
Looks like selling might be done. Now the wait for any news. I am adding some down here.
Whats happening with this, somebody dumping huge, yesterday 1mil@.015 just before close. Any hopes with this one?
Been gone for a week or so. Anyone still in this? I would have thought with the CEO cancelling shares there might be a plan in place for something to move this forward. Any rumors?
They can always go lower. Sure does look like an excellent opportunity tho at these levels tho. Trading below the last pr touting the 5 mil cancellation. ABDE was around .035 then.
15 mil shares .027? Thats about a 400k market cap.
This is because any one who will sell this under 0.03-0.025 will lose money on this stock should bounce slowly. I think it is a good buy and hold ,base on the TA even if the company don’t make $$.
Also company Board of Directors has elected not to proceed with the forward split of twenty to one.(but this is old news)good luck
Why can't she go lower from this point? Something good coming?
Interesting read...
Atlantis Business Development Corp. (OTC BB: ABDE) is a Business Development Company ("BDC"), pursuant to Section 54 of the Investment Company Act of 1940. The Investment Company Act of 1940 was passed to encourage investing in developing businesses. The Act provides simpler access to public funds for the purpose of business development, with emphasis on regulation of expenditures, rather than regulation of fund-raising. Under the Act, the majority of publicly raised funds pursuant to the Act must be employed in developing businesses.
As a result of these changes and growth objectives, the Company's management intends to aggressively pursue new acquisitions that would form portfolio investments and that would be expected to enhance shareholder value through capital appreciation and dividend payments to the Company.
Essentially a BDC is an investment company, which assists eligible portfolio companies with managerial, accounting, and financial advice. Often it helps companies to obtain needed capital for growth and then the BDC is generally compensated by equity ownership for its services.
One very effective method to obtain capital funds is through equity financing and this is where ATLANTIS creates a “WIN – WIN” situation for its shareholders as well as the targeted portfolio company. ATLANTIS has approximately 1300 of its own shareholders and its goal is to locate private companies that have outstanding growth potential, but are in need of a capital infusion to accelerate their growth. ATLANTIS will help the targeted company with managerial and accounting advice as well as provide financial assistance and complete the necessary filings/paperwork to prepare the company for public trading. Eventually ATLANTIS intends to “spin-off” the portfolio company, which will then begin trading with its own symbol.
For its assistance ATLANTIS will retain an agreed-upon percentage ownership in this new publicly traded company. Then ATLANTIS plans to reward its own shareholders with a stock distribution dividend of this new public company and it will also keep a percentage of the new company’s shares in its portfolio for future growth potential. At this time, the corporate objective is to “spin off” 50% of each portfolio company as it goes public. Thus, ATLANTIS shareholders will be handsomely rewarded by continually receiving shares in “new” public companies, many of which could turn out to be big winners!
This methodology has several advantages for both Atlantis and the portfolio company.
For Atlantis, asset value and growth can increase rapidly and dramatically with careful selection and additions of new portfolio companies that have exceptional growth prospects. Obviously companies’ over-all market valuations can increase dramatically when going public, thereby substantially increasing Atlantis’s net asset value, which should ultimately be reflected in higher share prices for Atlantis investors.
For the portfolio company, the advantages are numerous. Going public by way of a “spin-off” is faster, easier, and much more cost-effective (a lot less expensive) than via the traditional Initial Public Offering (IPO) method. Additionally, in this case, the portfolio company starts off immediately with some 2300 shareholders, giving it a broad base and interested audience for any potential equity offerings, thus facilitating the ability to raise needed capital for growth in a more expeditious and cost-effective manner.
ATLANTIS shareholders are rewarded in two major ways. As mentioned, the share values of ATLANTIS should show increasing upward appreciation as more portfolio companies continue to be added and then spun off, and ATLANTIS shareholders will continue diversifying and increasing their own portfolio valuations with the constant addition of these new publicly-traded securities. Management’s goal is to locate a minimum of four opportunities over the next 12 months. The Company does not intend to focus its investments in any one industry, but rather to carefully screen and consider any and all investments that have superior growth potential.
It’s an exciting and creative way for investors to accumulate wealth and minimize potential risks through broad diversification.
I got a feelin that something is going to happen here soon. I will admit that I am a bit confused about the share structure though (see below). With that being said, now we see large trades going off after the close. I think that the company is selling shares for some reason which is why I thing we'll see something develop here soon (just a guess). If that share structure stays the same, once the seller is done, this could pop very nicely. JMO
FROM THE 10Q
As of March 31, 2006, there were 14,158,750 shares of the registrant's Common Stock, par value $.001 per share, outstanding.
THEN THIS:
CEO Christopher M. Dubeau stated in part, "I have canceled these 5,000,000 personal shares to reduce the amount of issued and outstanding for the shareholders."
NOW THIS:
FROM THEIR WEBSITE:
Company
Stock Information
Shares Outstanding: 15,563,750
Active Float: 4,805,000 (approximate)
As of today

Obviously shares were issued and probably has to do with that 1-E filing on 5-2. This is most likely related to the blocks we saw after hours yesterday and today. Maybe a merger coming? We'll see
This has been the first PR in about 4 month too.
It's almost 2 months since ABDE delay the 1 for 20 splits.
There was no PR since then.
Anyone here anything in the pipe?
We are due for a rebounce soon...IMO
Yes, I am here. I picked some up yesterday after doing some DD. Looks real good to me
Anyone still here? I noticed a little activity with this stock yesterday. Picked up a few shares, thought it had potential. I do like how they stood up against shorting a little while back. :))
That might be a major help at this point and indicate a
sense of solidarity and purpose that appears to be in short supply. Was personally amazed that the stock took off as it
did just a few weeks back...happened once, could happen again.
Perhaps a great opportunity to get in while the price is
so deflated. Let us hope so.
We need some positive reinforcement from the company
A PR like "We dont know why the stock is declining so much" or "We have authorized board members to purchase stock given the drastic, unwarranted decline."
GLTA
inconsistency on recent News releases is not doing this stock
justice. A lot of potential out there as witness major price
gyrations & positive PR over the six odd weeks preceding the last one or two. Putting out Statements one day and retracting
same shortly thereafter gives the impression, fair or not,
that something is amiss. Less than four weeks ago, this stock
had passed $ 1.00 per share....a far cry from the less than
$ .05 in very recent prior days that had almost caused ABDE to disappear altogether. Today indicated some signs of
new found energy...let us hope this bodes well over the immediate future!
I am questioning too man. I lost big...keep average down...hope it comes back tomorrow!
Atlantis Business Development Corporation, Inc. (OTC BB: ABDE) subsidiary Atlantis Acquisition 1, signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Equitable Mining Corp. to embark on a joint venture agreement for the purpose of producing a working gold and precious metal company. The final contracts are being worked on by attorneys from both companies and should be complete in the near future.
New directors and officers will be appointed to the Atlantis subsidiary Atlantis Acquisition 1 to operate this future venture. Atlantis' goal is to produce a valuable asset for its shareholders from this Joint Venture and also a possibility of a spin off in the coming years.
Atlantis has been watching Paramount Gold Mining Corp and has become aware of the present value of a gold or precious metals company. The North American, Central American and South American continents, in countries such as United States, Canada, Mexico, Belize, Peru, and Chile have mining operations that we are currently seeking an acquisition from. With new technologies that are operating today, these mines are producing healthy profits.
CEO, Christopher M Dubeau stated in part, "Looking towards the future we believe this opportunity with Equitable Mining Corp. could be the marriage Atlantis has been looking for in the gold and precious medals industry."
Atlantis Business Development Corporation Announced Today CEO Orders Shares in Certificate Form and Plans to Cancel Shares
Atlantis Business Development Corporation, Inc. (OTC BB: ABDE) announced today CEO Christopher Dubeau ordered his free trading shares into certificate form on January 19th, 2006. Mr. Dubeau plans to cancel his shares totaling 287,475 and remove them from the public float as soon as they are returned to the transfer agent for cancellation. This act is being done by the CEO to show good faith and reassure the shareholders of the value of Atlantis's stock. CEO Mr. Christopher Dubeau stated, "I want the shareholders of Atlantis to know that the officers and insiders of the company will not sell stock at an undervalued price." Further stated, "We are moving steady in a forward direction with Atlantis and look to a positive future for all shareholders."
Atlantis Business Development Corporation, Inc. (OTC BB: ABDE) announced today a notice to all shareholders that the Board of Directors is aware of a possibility of naked short selling of the company's stock. Naked short selling is where shares of stock are sold without having access to those shares. Regulation SHO made naked short selling illegal. The Board of Directors has ordered a full shareholder list and DTC selling sheets for each day since the possibility of naked short selling was uncovered.
The Board of Directors wants its shareholders to be aware of the possibility of such sales and to know the Board plans to vigorously pursue any such illegal activity with the SEC.
To find out more about naked short selling and how to fight this activity, you can visit www.buyins.net
The Board believes if shareholders order their shares in certificate form, sellers who may be selling short without shares will be less able to borrow shares, and this activity will be reduced or will cease.
Ordering your shares may be done by contacting your broker or trading house and asking them to put your shares in certificate form.
CEO Christopher M Dubeau states, "Remember, these people feed on fear, they are simply trying to get you to sell your shares lower than what management believes to be the real value of the Company's stock."
About Atlantis Business Development:
glad Someone started a Board on this one. Seems as if there
has been some life of late. Hope it continues. ABDE was
very much alive not too many months ago...actually up past
$.30 as I recall. Watching, also, with much interest on the
Share Dividends that were issued some time ago...but apparently in Restricted Status. Both Companies have a lot
of potential...whether long or shor term is a good question.
Hang in there and Happy New Year!
so I started the board.... strange tradding the last couple of days !
