'Astra Space Give Launch System 2 Update' - SEC
EX-99.1 (sec.gov)
Since Astra's founding in 2016 we've been on a mission to Improve Life on Earth from Space® by delivering customer payloads to orbit through frequent and reliable dedicated launches as economically as possible.
Our goal with Launch System 1 was to achieve orbital capability as quickly as possible and demonstrate that we could mass-produce rockets. And we did, by launching incrementally more capable rockets â?? 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, 3.1, 3.2, and finally a series of Rocket 3.3 rockets that made Astra the fastest privately funded U.S. company to reach orbit.
Following the flight anomaly on our last launch, we listened to our customers, our team, and our stockholders and made the strategic decision to accelerate the introduction of a higher performance rocket and add additional testing that we believe will increase the reliability of future launches.
Launch System 2 is our answer to our existing launch customers, and an increasing number of satellite operators around the world, that need affordable and frequent dedicated orbital launch services to enable new space services. These launch services have the potential to unlock next generation communications services, critical national security and defense applications, and a wide range of Earth observation capabilities that will create a healthier planet.
We believe Launch System 2 will provide Astra's customers the launch services they need, whether that be constellation deployment, constellation management, or responsive missions. Dedicated small launches give satellite operators the ability to deploy their spacecraft directly to their operational orbits and allow them to start providing services and adding value sooner.
Our customers and the broader market were clear about wanting three things from Astra's new launch system: reliability, increased payload capacity, and an increased launch cadence. Launch System 2 has been specifically designed to address these needs.
While Launch System 1 made Astra the fastest privately funded U.S. company to reach orbit, the goal of Launch System 2 is to build a highly reliable system that we believe can scale to a weekly launch cadence.
Designed for Reliability & Scaled Manufacturing
While the new launch system builds on the heritage of Launch System 1, Launch System 2 is more than just upgraded hardware â?? it represents a cultural shift from our primary focus on schedule to a focus on reliability. This launch system is the result of a significant change in how Astra designs, builds, qualifies, and operates our launch system.

The current price so much under value. This company SP should be in double digit. Cash 200M and debt only 8.5M. You be the judge. Don't let crooks take your precious share. Will rock to the moon together with ASTR. Believe that.
Balance Sheet
Total Cash (mrq) 200.68M

To me ASTR sounds like tax write-off..:)
ASTR as a word when spoken sounds like “Astor”, historically associated with immense wealth

No planned launches till 2023, chart indicates tomorrow as a possible opportunity, updates on the last two stages of the investigation appear to be the only possible catalysts though, speculative imo
After tomorrow ASTR will have two weeks to address their sub-$1.00 price or risk the prospect of delisting.
Same here but sold all my shares last month to pick up a tax loss. Will buy again as soon as I'm outside the wash-sale period.
I plan to hold long; that's the plan; will it work? I don't know. I've been watching Artemis I try to get off the ground and today scrubbed again.
All these failures in the industry make me wonder about the percentages of successful missions from other companies in the past and in the future.
I grew up in Cocoa Beach, FL and saw many rockets explode in the 1970's. NASA is premier space industry; and NASA has just as many issues as any one.
Quality control is part of the statistics astronauts will have to deal with psychologically.
I believe Astra Space and companies like AITX Artificial Intelligence Technology Solutions $AITX look good together. On the moon better than humans.
Humans on the moon are bound to be a problem; drones and other robots could begin making counties out of moon property and patrolling settlements.
I would at least begin the process of claiming territory on the moon. Astra Space will surely be there somewhere.
#meme 20% shorted and limited shares out there.
They're crushing it.

About Astra:
ASTR has cancelled any further launches for 2022. Disappointing news but after a 50% failure rate it makes sense.
ASTRA TO REPORT SECOND QUARTER 2022 FINANCIAL RESULTS ON AUGUST 4TH, 2022
Jul 22, 2022
ALAMEDA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jul. 22, 2022-- Astra Space, Inc. (“Astra”) (Nasdaq: ASTR) will report financial results for its second quarter ended June 30, 2022, after the market close on Thursday, August 4, 2022.
Astra will host a webcast at 1:30pm PT (4:30pm ET) on Thursday, August 4, 2022, to discuss the results.
The news release containing the financial results with a link to the live webcast and the webcast replay will be accessible at Astra’s Investor Relations website (https://investor.astra.com/investor-relations).
This company launches satellites about the same size as Elons Company I believe. I’m thinking that Astra could be a target for a buy out once we have dependable launches. Just a wild idea but the space race is just getting started and these small companies will get consumed in the future.
For the stock to really climb they'll need a success rate similar to SpaceX especially if they want to launch 50-100 rockets a year. Appreciate your input here.
Maybe- I just think they need a 3in a row at this point and PPS will go up.
ASTR will bottom when two things happen. The market turns positive and Astra's launches are consistently successful. The June 12 stage two failure has unfortunately been typical.
Wonder when this will bottom. Opportunity to be made here- likely if timing is right .
They have the capability- just need more tweaking. I would think if ULA was really serious about space as a whole, or even Boeing/LMT individually- ASTR might be a good company to absorb and prop up, while the kinks are worked out, for small payload launch provider.
That could offer a discounted niche market for them, to help them compete with Rocket labs and SpaceX

2021 Investor Letter from Chris Kemp
Astra will be launching two rockets in Q2, it's first constellation launch attempt. The NASA TROPICS constellation will observe and report cyclone activity. Additional launches for this project are scheduled for later in the year.
Wishing everyone at Astra well as they spread their wings.
Astra has posted a one minute video of the LV-0009 launch on the Twitter account.

ASTR LV-0009 launched successfully into orbit this morning from Kodiak AK and onboard satellites were successfully deployed and are communicating with ground stations. This is great news for Astra.

ASTR News: ASTR SHAREHOLDER ALERT: Jakubowitz Law Reminds Astra Shareholders of a Lead Plaintiff Deadline of April 11, 2022
With this Law suit the only ones that will make money are the Lawyers. It sounded like a great idea LMAO

Only the skeevy lawyers will make money while the rocket geeks trying to get this right and all us investors lose.
One of my favorite lawyer jokes:
If you are a class member you have an opt out option if you wish to pursue a case on your own. However you have to file before a deadline that is usually set later in the case.
It can of course mean one of many things but in this case he had roughly 400,000 share vest and will owe both state and income taxes, apparently in the 50% range. Welcome to Taxifornia.
What does it mean when the CFO is selling his shares? Thoughts?

will ASTR be even worth .50 with this class action suit? Will they go bankrupt from this suit?
Whats the deal with the class action lawsuit do you have to apply to recover loss from this pos?
It's the people making the decisions that are the problem! It will get hammered until that issue is fixed!
You even made the NEWS!
I bought 100 shares today @ $3.3099 I figured 100 shares is a low risk.
I can guarantee the stock will go up and down, like all other stocks.
Lets hope the next rocket goes up and completes the mission.
The stock has steadily declined. If you watched the videos, you see that they could be more professional. This is of concern when you are dealing with such endeavors. Also, once these videos are disseminated, they stay out there for a long time. It will be hard to reverse perception, regardless of reality.
Agree with that. Added to ASTR @ $3.32. If they're successful this will pay 10:1. That is, downside from here is $3.32, upside is $30-$35. I like those odds.
More launches scheduled for 2022 3 from NASA 1 from Spiral global and 2 from Planet Labs if they remain intact should bounce back buying opportunity here folks.
It's the Rocket business and sh*t happens folks. I see this as a buying opportunity. After they resolve the issue it will start to bounce back and next successful launch should be green for share holders. This is a great time to load up folks.
News release:
Hoping to chalk up the company's second successful flight, California-based Astra fired off a 43-foot-tall rocket from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida on Thursday, but the vehicle's upper stage appeared to tumble out of control moments after engine ignition. The rocket's payload — four small NASA- and university-provided research satellites booked under a $3.9 million contract through the space agency's Venture Class Launch Services program — was lost in the mishap.
Which sounds bad, and the stock dropped. But we have a great management team whose members have worked at NASA etc. The first stage worked perfectly. Telemetry will show what went wrong with the second stage.
All new rockets have bugs that need to be worked out. They will be and the stock price will recover.
What we actually have here is a good buying opportunity.
How you going to launch into a CME?
Deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerp!
