PR NEWSWIRE 7:59 AM ET 10/22/14
PHILADELPHIA , Oct. 22, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- EmergenSee, a personal security app, to rival 911, will be appearing on ABC'sShark Tank, Friday, October 24th at 9 PM. Shark Tank, an American reality competition series, features aspiring entrepreneurs who make business presentations to a panel of potential investors. "For the current season, the show's producers received 35,000 applications. Of those, 157 — that's 0.4 percent — were selected to film in front of the sharks. In the end, an estimated 112 pitches will actually make it to air," said Clay Newbill, the show's executive producer.
Phil Reitnour, the entrepreneur behind the EmergenSee App, will be demonstrating all the built-in emergency features. The free version of EmergenSee enables users to stream live video and GPS data to designated friends and family, who can follow the events in real-time, while alerting the proper authorities, if necessary. "The Free EmergenSee App also has an option to include a monitoring service on-call 24 hours a day for only $8.99/ month. Your Family or Friends may not be in a position to immediately respond to an emergency, especially in the middle of the night. But knowing a Professional Emergency Trained Monitor will instantly be watching in real time and notify the proper authorities of your exact location, seems like a very reasonable price for this added security," as stated by Shark Tank Success.
"Another feature is the timer which people can use if they're going out alone. When activated, the app starts a timer that requires the user to notify the app again when they arrive; if they don't an alert is sent out. The app has three patents associated with it as well," states Rob Merlino, Shark Tank Blog writer.
"The live video feature of the app has drawn a lot of national attention to the app," adds Rob Merlino. "The video log is always saved, even if the phone is destroyed, meaning that in cases of assault, the footage can be used as evidence."
When you think about this personal safety device, the more you realize this technology should be on all phones. There are other apps on the market, but the EmergenSee App is the only one with live streaming video to several locations as the incident is happening.
About EmergenSee®
EmergenSee® is a real-time personal safety app for smartphones. Widowed father of four Philip Reitnour founded the company behind the app in 2012 after witnessing a life-threatening incident of road rage. The app was officially released in July 2013. Shark Tank, the critically-acclaimed reality show that has reinvigorated entrepreneurship in America, has also become a culturally defining series. The recipient of the 2014 Emmy Award for Outstanding Structured Reality Program, the business-themed show has returned to the ABC Television Network for its sixth season. The Sharks are: Mark Cuban, Barbara Corcoran, Lori Greiner, Robert Herjavec, Daymond John and Kevin O'Leary.

You couldn't find an app called "Im over here" ? That is funny. lol
A friend of mine wrote an app called "Im over here" for iPhone and android. I found it fine on apple but on android it's harder to find unless you put quotes around it.
Apple will need more money to pay off claims.
So can I claim my kid bought any app I purchased? lol

I have a Bose wave box from years ago and the sound is incredible.
And I have Bose speakers in the house which I have hooked up to my HDTV running through my receiver. Talk about wires it took me all day Saturday to hook it up a year ago just before Xmas when I bought the TV.
I would probably buy the Bose Sound bar for the TV but there is no need since I also have the receiver set up for radio, CDs, cassettes, my son's PS3 which also plays Blu Ray DVDs.
You can buy cheaper Sound bars Sony, Pioneer, etc.
I suggest you look at the reviews at Amazon. Note the Vine reviewers get the product shipped to them and don't pay for the item but they can't resell it either.
Best Buy also carries it, same price and it gets good reviews as well.
I would stop in and listen to it there.
I am a Bose fan and I don't think you'd go wrong. And Bose will take it back.

Anyone here have this or read any reviews?

My wife has a pretty pale wallpaper. I suggested she change it to black. lol
What I don't like is the new look and they actually said on the news that it is not "friendly" for people over 50 because it is harder to see.
Did we really have to go there?
I'm getting used to it since there are so many changes.
I really don't see a vast improvement from IOS6. They just rearranged the deckchairs and changed the icons.
No, there are a lot of improvements. When you text message you can swipe it to the left and see a time stamp for every entry. The camera has more options. They changed the photo app so that everything is grouped and it makes it easier to find things. They added a "block this caller" option. Updates don't have to be done individually. The compass has a level option if you swipe it to the left. Those are a couple of things I know off the top of my head. There are a lot more too. What I don't like is the new look and they actually said on the news that it is not "friendly" for people over 50 because it is harder to see.
I just ordered the 5S for my daughter - I'll let you know what we think when we get it.
I upgraded my ipad my phone my wife's phone and my son's phone.
We all have iPhone4 phones. I don't think the 2 of them are talking to me anymore.

I'm not rushing out to buy new phones that is for sure.
Google has an app called google search which is just like Siri.
My contract on the phones is up in December and I may look at the Motorola Moto X.
I'm not crazy about the new keyboard - I think it is harder to see. I do like that they time stamp every text message now.
I need to take some aspirin.
My cholesterol count was 147 and I eat what I want.
This is a good one --- and, it's FREE!

yeah let me know what u think - i hear there are major changes
Thanks for the reminder. Downloading it now to my ipad. I need my cell for work so will do that later.
I'll get back to you.
