Looks good to me. Other companies in this sector do it also all the time . Yup the other big one.
Further explanation on why Alphria sold $80 million of stock.
https://www.newcannabisventures.com/why-aphria-decided-to-sell-80-million-of-stock/
Aphria is not going to be delisted. Buy on the dip.
You spelled my name wrong smart guy
Someone who calls themselves "MeAwesome" has to have a self image of quite the investor so I'll pass on the bait.
Have you ever invested before?
Everyone ignors the fact that they had a loss from operations in the last qtr.
Net gain from investments $16,428,131
Net income................$15,000,000
Net loss from operations .$ 1,428,131
Please keep in-mind that this board is for Aphria post. As the article stated, Canopy is not effected but the stock still was.
Does not affect Canopy!!
The only way they could become delisted is if they raised funds on the TSX and sent that money to the States where it is still a level 1 restricted drug and therefore illegal. Vic as in his interview with BNN.ca yesterday said he is not in violation of any U.S. Investment.
The tweet that went out today showing the process on Phase 3 20,000 kilo growing capacity next May could be sold on an annual basis. They are the only profitable Medical LP as of yet and with that expansion will be on pace for $60-90 million in revenue next year.

GMP Securities Assigns 'Hold' Rating on Aphria, Sees >18% Upside
SOURCE: https://www.dailymarijuanaobserver.com/single-post/2017/10/19/APHQF-GMP-Securities-Assigns-Hold-Rating-on-Aphria-Sees-18-Upside
GMP Securities' Martin Landry just issued a 'hold' rating on shares of Aphria Inc. (TSX:APH) (OTC:APHQF) alongside a price target of $7.75 CAD per share. With an analyst average price target of $9.67 CAD per share, Higgins' price target is the lowest out of the analysts we track that cover Aphria.
With a last trade price of $6.53 CAD for shares of APH on the TSX, this price target represents over 18.6% potential upside.
GMP Securities' Martin Landry also covers shares of Aurora Cannabis Inc. (TSX:ACB) (OTC:ACBFF), which he currently has assigned a 'buy' rating.
Smart move to start buying back into Aphria.
The correction sure seems on it's last leg, great value at these levels and buying is clearly taking place at these price levels and while things get straightened out.
No one is ever able to pick a bottom, or top for that matter, without just pure luck, so clearly the best and safest approach, imo, is a dollar cost averaging one, i.e., partial buys on any days of weakness.
Aphria, like CANOPY, AURORA and ABATTIS, are clearly to be GIANTS in the cannabis investing field and not to be loaded up with these stocks and now Aphria and Abattis also, imo, is just plain stupid, especially now while it's on sale
Started a position today after this ridiculous sell off. I'll buy more if the drop continues.
Also you have to realize a lot of people are taking this time to consolidate funds and buy back into a larger amount of shares at a discount. I for one liquidated 1000 shares and am waiting to reinvest for what I see as the support. You are right though this company/ticker on the OTC isn't going anywhere. However the share price might if Neufield ends up in a legal battle with the TSX. Just watch the news closely
The U.S. Federal 214 spending bill that was passed, has an amendment that prohibits the U.S. federal government from using federal funds to prosecute medical pot programs, and the sale of medical pot. In other words, the medical pot programs that are legal in the states that have them, are protected from Federal prosecution by this bill.
To all who so kindly commented on my post. No I am not trying to say that Aphria is anything less than a terrific company. It was he top performer in my portfolio until yesterday morning. I am saying that my concern is that the SEC will confiscate my funds associated with Canadian pot stocks. I was making good money on these stocks and would love to stay in them, just don't want to lose it to the government. My point about bitcoin was that the SEC has halted trading on bitcoin stocks before because they have had astronomical gains..they might do the same on pot stocks. As for coinbase, it is operational but for some odd reason I have been locked out from my mobile device and PC device and the fine folks at coinbase will not respond through email, won't answer a phone and will not return a message. Go research for yourselves. I am done on this forum, have a nice day and like I said before..I sincerely hope you all hit the jackpot with this stock.
Two things caused the price drop
1- Raising 80 million and using stock shares to do it
2- Report that the TSX was considering de-listing companies with ties to the U.S. where marijuana is "federally illegal"
I received a report earlier that had Vic's response to the TSX today. It went very much like this
Will Aphria be leaving the TSX?
Vic: No
Will Aphria back away from their investments in the U.S.
Vic: No
The report implied that Aphria was willing to sue the TSX. It was Vic's way of saying go f**k yourself for lying to me.
Yes sir, Vic. Be a boss......
I bought some yesterday. They are abiding by the law. Let the scary people bail and we will clean up their shares.
Exactly.
This is a great and 'rare' opportunity, given this stupid overreaction by sellers, for investors to get Aphria at sale prices!
I bought more today and wish I had the bucks to get even more.
Nothing to be concerned about. Great buying opportunity.
Funny part is when those people feed into the panic. They actually think people should listen to them. what people should do with their money. Crazy
Where are this stupid people now saying”the end of the world is here” like yesterday on this ticker. That had to be the dumbest nonsense I’ve seen for a while.
Coinbase is not locked. What are you talking about? The drop in Aphria is due to the possibility of regulators in the US seizing assets of companies thought to be doing money laundering via marijuana or bitcoin. Which they aren’t. At least Aphria isn’t. It’s all a scare tactic but it works unfortunately
Can someone fill me in on what happened please? I was looking to buy back in soon and I’ve been waiting for a dip and when I saw the drop today my E*TRADE account shows there is no news for aphria ... what caused this large drop?
It's been a while since I've been here. So here we go again, huh? Wash, rinse, repeat.
There's so much excrement to wade through it's hard to know even where to begin. I see nothing has changed with a few posters here though.
1- Aphria isn't being delisted...without some explaining.
Why? Because they've been running this program for 2 years under the same organizational guidelines. It's hilarious to see people throwing their hands up in total shock and awe that Aphria has just now broken the laws. What laws? Can't say because they don't exist. When did they break them? Can't say...because the TSX approved Aphria 2 years ago and stood by every time Aphria moved into the U.S.
TSX now? "TU QUOQUE!!!!!"
TU F*****G QUOQUE!!!!!......indeed.
Spare me the pseudo melodramatic bullshit
The TSX must be ran by someone with mental capacity akin to Barney Fife.
2- Aphria broke no laws.
Why? Read the above again.
3- Google "August 21st TMX decision and Aphria response" and see what you get.
Then let the hilarity about today's events ensue.
4- I know what this is. It's a CYA moment.
The TMX/TSX is fielding calls right and left about Aphria in the US. The head of the organization is under the gun to show he has some nuts.
Watch the video on BNN with Vic today. "have you received a phone call about today's decision? No. It's a total sideswipe."
Of course it was Vic. The dude told you on August 21 that you had nothing to worry about and that no punishment was coming to you. Proceed with business. What else were you supposed to think? You were sideswiped because they weren't honest about anything and didn't want to man up and face you.
As far as this being their "second warning"...
False. You have to have a first before you have a second. Not sure what they're teaching in mathematics courses these days, but that should remain a constant.
Bruce Linton called and whined about Aphria. The TMX said they would review it. They did. They cleared it on Aug. 21. They called Vic and informed him that he was good to go. There was no "warning". They fielded complaints from other companies. That is clear from every article addressing the situation over the summer.
Hey Vic. Let them delist you. Take the hit. Let the price drop. Go to a more competent exchange and keep the tens of millions in revenues you will earn in revenues every year in the US. Short term pain, long term gain.
And let Barney figure out where he put his bullet...
Exactly.
Just disclose the risk, which of course, 'exists' for all US stocks, especially the quality ones like Aphria, which are thriving these days.
Cannabis days are here, especially in canada and indeed rapidly growing worldwide.
Just one of these 'silly' emotional events that occur and providing a 'on sale' opportunity for those wanting to start or add to their
positions.
They don't come much better and with more promise and superb management than Aphria.
You are comparing a legitimate company with millions in revenue to a shell company? Sometimes I wonder if people read what they write.
Does anyone remember that a bitcoin stock was halted by SEC recently? And they have halted coinbase as well. I still have some litecoin, ethereum and bitcoin in coinbase but good luck to me getting them to return a phone call or email to get back in to get my assets. Luckily, I was paying attention and got the majority of my funds out before the lockout. Well, this morning over half my gains on Aphria, Tweed, and Aurora were wiped out so I am out of this for now, luckily didn't lose any of my original capital. I was hopeful that with the California fires burning the pot crop the Canadian cannabis might fill the void. I can't help but wonder if this warning isn't about the U.S. putting pressure on Canadian Government. I made a little money here and hoped to make a lot. But, it doesn't seem like a good idea for a U.S. citizen. All just my opinion and 2 cents but, GLTA, I'm out, hope you all make a mint.
Yea of course everything they did is legal. I didn't sell today because I think aphria is screwed. I sold because it was obviously going to be a red day the next few days. Great time to sell and reposition at a stronger point with more shares
How can you say it's only because of the bought offering. The entire mj sector is down on the news of more inherent risk. Bought offering I'm sure had an impact as well
SeaTrue, looks like you are the only one to
figure that out....everybody else is off
on a snipe hunt.
No not going drop that much lol....
it will go back on cse exchange .....
APH isnt down bc of the nonsense threat of delisting, its down bc of the bought offering. I assume everyone here realizes this????
The TMX Group, the company that operates the Toronto Stock Exchange and the TSX Venture Exchange, says companies with business activities that violate U.S. federal law regarding marijuana could undergo a delisting review at the discretion of the TSX.
So, if it gets delisted by Toronto Stock exchange, where will Canadians trade it? Sorry, it won't be 0, it just be listed at all so less than 0?
HAHAHAH sure. maybe for your equilvalent stock in the US
but there are very really farms growing up in canada right now.
so APH.TO is gold
False before it was uplisted to TSX it was at these levels.
Lots of unwarranted selling. Great Video with Vic as well from an interview this morning. Only noise. Everything they have done is legal.
http://www.bnn.ca/marijuana-producer-aphria-inks-deal-to-raise-80m-shares-fall-after-tsx-notice-1.887047
my folio is getting bounced
like a big booty ho!
i suppose all this panic is about APHQF not aph.to ?
since its compliant in canadian laws yeah?
good advice, selling may not be over. Problem has to be resolved first.
Good luck. Hoping for under $5 to add more. This will be very special in the years to come.
Supreme has no exposure to US. Come over before they delist u and u have nothing. Disclosure is not an option. Exchange said they are "gone"
imma buy acb.to instead. it just bounced off the 50 dma
Wait for $4.75
The one sentence in their earnings release that caught my attention is:
" The increase in net income for Aphria in the quarter is directly related to the net gains on the Company's strategic investment portfolio in the quarter."
And if you do the math they actually had a loss on operating income.
