Seriously... I was hoping for a correction so I could take a position here. $APHQF IS A BEAST!! #BigMarijuana
Thanks FVH,,I've always had a position in the major MJ companies. Will look into MYM.
I truly try to be a constructive and helpful poster, but I am only one man's opinion. I've been preaching canada for a few years and hope that others see the merit of a canadian high quality cannabis portfolio. The great thing is we are just getting started with these stocks as pr news, incredible growing revenues and overall excitement going forwards will be immense. Important to note that most have a strong international exposure which greatly adds to their revenue exposure/potential.
I'm very committed to positions in Aphria, Aurora Cannabis, Canopy General and a 'sleeper' which will be the largest supplier in the world with over 2.7 million s.f. in greenhouses in two countries, MYM Nutraceutical. Supply is going to be a huge challenge to the industry, imo.
Huge gapper !!!!
This is going to trade 150+ this time next year..
Yup great news congrats MAZZ :)
FVH,,this year to 2018,I know you are will be a millionaire of MJ stocks. Long time u have been recommending MJ stocks. I myself only got 300 shares of this,2000 shares of ACBFF,3000 shares of NXTTF. plus others I can't remember off hand. hehe
AURORA CANNABIS AND APHRIA are both super cannabis growth stocks. Both belong in one's cannabis portfolio in at this point equal weighting, imo, though I think Aurora is going much higher, much sooner. Love both.
Hey MADD! Been waiting for this beast to wake up. Here it comes.
This stock will never see the underside of $10 again. $20 is not far off IMO.
Absolutely wonderful. This is the domestic stabilization this stock needed. This is now locked and loaded.
Just came over equity feed
Nice! Do you know that for sure or is that speculation? Do you have a link?
Shoppers drug mart contract
Aphria halted pending news! Based on the correction this has been going on optimistic
No way aurora is a bloated pig ... APHRIA way better SS
Just sharing what I was told.
We are clearly entering a period of what will be much merger/buyout activity, especially in Canada.
Size of such activity , imo, won't be a problem as funding will clearly be available these days.
Also, the excitement of the prospects of food and drink infused products I find extremely investor interesting.
Agreed. If you've ever listened to Vic talk it's clear he doesn't want to be second fiddle to anyone and the Aurora CEO wouldn't yield to him either. Fake news.
I don't buy that, these companies are too big individually to pull it off.
Chatting with some NYC investment friends and there are rumblings of a Aphria Aurora Cannabis merger1 Imagine.
a huge silverback gorilla of a beast....( chest thumping ).... glta
Because it's such a beast and has so much more than just Ohio going for it
How is Aphria up on this kind of news?
This morning, the Ohio Department of Commerce announced license approvals for 11 Level I cultivators. As you will notice, there was no license awarded to Liberty Health Sciences (CSE:LHS) (OTC:LHSIF), the American sister-company of Aphria Inc. (TSX:APH) (OTC:APHQF).
Besides the bad news for shareholders of Liberty Health, this was also bad news for shareholders of MPX Bioceutical (CSE: MPX) (OTC: MPXEF), which also put in three applications under the name GreenMart. Shares of Liberty are being hit far harder than MPX in the markets today, currently down over 30% intraday compared to MPX, which is down nearly 10%.
While interested parties could submit multiple applications, they were only able to receive one provisional license each. These Level I cultivators will be the largest in Ohio, as each Level II licensee is capped at having 3,000 square foot maximum of grow space. Each awarded Level I licensee will be allowed to have a whopping 25,000 square feet of cultivation operations.

thanks for sharing both of you guys...mj stocks are going to make our pockets full of $$$$.... glta hammertime
I like your analogy with the children. I chose GRWG because it is still severely undervalued given its market cap given its revenues. They will also only acquire stores that are already grossing 1 million or more. I spoke with the CEO and he has a hybrid brick and mortar/e commerce platform that I love.
Grwg has limited competition in terms of dealing with a consolidated bigger player in the industry that provides the personalized service they do.
I like kush as a company but it is too richly valued for me at the moment and my personal strategy has always been to buy in at a valuation I feel comfortable with and not to speculate too much into the future.
Another good one is MPXEF this is a hidden gem check out the CEOs speech on Alan Brochsteins YouTube channel. Huuuuge sleeper.
That being said I will always be a long at Aphria and I don't plan to sell a share anytime soon.
You're welcome. I had a chance to purchase Kush or GRWG but I passed on GRWG because Kush's numbers were better for me. It's really like trying to pick which child you like best. In the end they're both great. And they occupy different parts of the market. That was a factor for me. I passed on GRWG because there is a good amount of competition with what they do. Kush has very little competition. As a matter of fact, I tried to find any competition that equalled Kush and/or would occupy their California/Nevada area and the best I could find was Sugarmade. Sugarmade isn't close yet.
Kush has also raised their assets from just over 5 million to over 46 million in a 1 year span. And their revenues went from 8.2 million to 18.8 million in the same year. That's phenomenal for such a unique market.
GRWG is doing well also, but for me Kush checked more of the boxes that I was looking for so I considered it the better investment. I will, in the future consider GRWG though. It has had a great week.
I appreciate it but GRWG is the best American stock. Extremely low float, undervalued market cap and revenues have been doubling every year. Picks and shovels business.
Hey twister, you and 1990 seem to be level headed on this board. I love the Canadian stocks and I typically avoid the US stocks in the mj sector. But I'm going to do something for you and this board that I never do...
KSHB (Kush Bottling).
It's the only US mj stock that I want to touch right now. It's worth it.
Cheers
Aphria is a strong cannabis company. the recent price moves have garnished the attention of the day traders who swarm in and swarm out. i guess they serve a purpose. I am long and strong Aphria. This company has waaaayyy too much earning potential... soon. there are so many fun things happening in the MJ sector right now that i can barely contain my enthusiasm. 2018/2019 will be fun and more fun!
MyHumbleOpinion
this happens a lot after a massive run. Most stocks in industry have same chart today. I'm in this for the Long haul not worried. You should only be worried if you're a day trader.
Never saw a stock going down like this. Massive sell off I think. Profit taking?
I too have positions with the big boys of Canadian mj along with other smaller outfits all doing incredible boom boom... aphria just seems so quiet with no hype as it swings a mighty sledgehammer of dominance....glta and I say for everyone to share the opportunities with all your investor friends.... the more the merrier ...aphqf long
Hi Cjv.
You are correct about news coming out last week. It came out late Thursday, but I personally don't think the market caught up to it until today. That's because of Black Friday in the US and all. I believe once people realized what happened it reflected on the outcome of today.
My opinion on the TSX ruling.......I'm not sure that some of this news that keeps coming out isn't a ploy. Most of the news is recycled from older news but it plays into the fears of some investors. Why? I don't know. Maybe they're not smart enough to read the dates on the page or they are just pre-disposed to believing this stock is going to drop. One thing is for sure, there is no material predictability to anything the TSX says right now.
Yes, this stock is worth doubling down on. The only thing I don't like right now is that I believe the share price is at it's maxim for now. It could go higher for sure but it'll have to justify it.
One thing I'm absolutely not concerned with is that when all of these international investments start reporting (middle 2018?) not only will this share price be justifiable, but it could be 2.5 to 3 times it's current value...easily.
If you project 3 years into the future....holy moly. International behemoth.
I have an equal footing in Canopy, Aphria and Aurora, but, all for different reasons. I like Aphria on the international market best right now. That's why I believe Aphria is calling the TSX's bluff on delisting.
Now, you put Canopy as part of the delisting (no one has, I'm just referring to their ties with the US company Constellation)......not a chance. No chance the TSX let's 2 of the biggest players in the world walk away. Hundreds of millions walk out the door with them. No chance.
I believe I read this license deal last week. Safe to say it looks like something worth doubling down on. What's your thoughts?
And to cap off this sweet, sweet day, there is a rumor going around that the TMX will revert to it's original decision and clear all trades of companies with U.S. exposure. Lollerific
The panic was that Aphria was too unstable because of U.S. ties. The TMX/TSX couldn't find it's spine after they told Vic to his face that all would be good on August 21 and then Bruce complained in early November. The TSX bellowed like the Big Bad Wolf and investors panicked again. Then Constellation dropped a cool quarter billion on Canopy. That's billion with a "B". "B" as in bullshit.
Constellation then told Canopy that they wanted to start a new line of cannabis infused drinks.
Problem? Constellation is in New York. That's New York, USA.
Cue the crickets........
Boy, I'm glad no one on here succumbed to panic.
I remember a few months ago I sold half my stake in Aphria over the ridiculous TSX threat. I was essentially told that Aphria was too uncertain and that it was going to drop. I quickly came to my senses and realized that nothing was going to happen.
As it went up each dollar, there were the ominous warnings again. But they grew into faint whispers.
I bought back into Aphria at half the price it is now and since the "Great Panic of '17" I have now doubled my investment. Even though I warned a few......it didn't take. No, no, no.....this was too uncertain.
Yes, twister, there was news. Health Canada awarded Aphria a prestigious international license. Those aren't easy to get. That's why it went up $1.73 US today. It's a big deal.
Life is feeling good right about now.
wow what a day...was there news of some sort? how quiet we are
Indoor v. Outdoor growing.
Carnegie Mellon Analysis. Pg 6
Indoor production allows 4-6 harvests per year (5 being typical), whereas outdoor production allows only 1-3 harvests per year. Thus, production per square foot per year is much higher with indoor growing.

Bruce already mentioned the Constellation Brands deal Even thought they are in the US, they are not doing any business in the US until it's federally legal.
Aphria Achieves Next Milestone in International Expansion Strategy with Receipt of Dealer's License
http://www.newswire.ca/news-releases/aphria-achieves-next-milestone-in-international-expansion-strategy-with-receipt-of-dealers-license-659532413.html
Aphria acquired a Colorado company, but sorry don't remember where i read it.
What company acquired what Colorado co?
I just read that a canadian company just fully acquired a US Colorado company.
An interesting, though not unique aggressive move, for what is being seen as inevitably getting 'geared up' for even better days ahead in US.
It's been quite common to see many canadian companys like Canopy General, Aurora Cannabis and MYM Neut., etc., making major partnerships internationally, like in Germany, Australia, etc.
Aphria is a international player, as well.
I, too have a position in Aphria, but to be very candid, I believe one of the reasons that Aphria has not performed as well as Canopy, is because there is just more risk given their US connection.
IMO< AG Sessions continues to explore and pursue every possile avenue to obstruct state's rights and the cannabis matter.
