That was quite a while back. No recent PR's or news. Waiting on analysis from Wier to come back.
Still awaiting the results of the mining consultant on how much is there and where to start drilling--
Study was supposed to have been done end of June--- still no PR from the company on where it stands.
With all of the EPA constraints and the current white house's bent on slowing down coal mining in the US-- the management has challenges to get it up and going.
Best chance for this stock to move is for Obama to move on. If not they may need to redirect to windmills or burning algae or some sort of green energy or they're dead in the water.
Anyone here? Why the 2c move today? Something in the works? Hope so...but hate relying on "hope" when investing (or speculating in this case I guess). GO AMPW
This is what AMPW sent in response:
As soon as there is an update on the Weir report the company will make a news release. We will forward our newsletter subscribers a copy of the news release.
Kind regards,

No No No, Nolechief stay till after the election. Heard on BB (Bloomberg) today that these outfits are struggling because we have an administration against coal. Just ask the people of the state of Virginia. Have a good day!

IR number - call and ask why we haven't received an update on the Weir mine feasibility study. It was scheduled to be completed in June.
Good news--- thanks for sharing !!!
News coming soon!
""We have commissioned our engineering consultant Weir with the preparation of a preliminary reserve study and mine feasibility study for the PACE Coal property using exploration data obtained during the first two phases of our drilling program in 2011 and data from previous exploration work carried out by Mobil Oil Co. Both studies are expected to be completed during June 2012".

Sure hope so! Drill here drill now-- quit all this gov't intrusion-- let free enterprise work !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Robbie1165, President Obama will lose this election & all the govertment regulations on the coal industry will change.
Things will change after 11/06/2012.
I AGREE!!! New mining operations are so constrained by gov't regulations, it takes forever and a day to start mining.
On top of that, I think the management here is lost as a goose in trying to figure out how to proceed on mining operations. All they do is enter into consulting agreements to study what to do next.
That said, if gov't restrictions eased-- they could at least sell their assets for a decent price (to someone who knows how to mine and manage a coal company).
Absolutely !!
If the leader of the free world, no matter whom it is, was to come out in support of coal, it would take off in a possitive direction!
Could President Obama fight against coal companies be effecting this company?
.08 cent a share .. hahahah..... man... what a waste of 2000 shares
ROBBIE1165 - Thanks for the information
I am in at $1 when their news was that they should be drilling by Spring or early summer. Not a whole lot of shares, but still enough to have used in other stocks with more potential. I am holding the bag on this one and will be here awhile, probably through its dissolution, which may make it more valuable than present manangement's running it as a going concern. I truly believe management is not competent and misled the investment community as to when drilling would occur. Based on the past year-- I see nothing happening again this year with the present management team. I'd rather see a sale to Rio Tinto.
The studies that were done were done back in the late 1979 by Mobil and they only provided estimates of how much coal could potentially be there. Mobil only drilled 30 holes spread out over 14,000 acres, AMPW holds 29,000 acres so they have another 15,000 acres of untested land. You have to keep in mind also drilling was halted during the winter and they only began drilling back in I believe it was July or August?
Just hang tight it will take some time. In all honesty I wouldn't be surprised if it would be about a year at the minimum for them to start actually hiring their own workforce and put a plan into action. For only 12 cents a share this stock has relatively low risk and potentially huge upside. If you invested when they were around a dollar per share I could understand growing concerns with what they are doing.
Also to ease your mind Weir the company that is doing their testing etc. Is a very established company. Just keep holding out a bit longer.
somewhat, but it was my understanding that a plethora of studies had already been done and supplied at the time of their acquisition of the PACE area. I understand studies are important for determining exact placement of drilling,,etc.-- but this is a well established property which has had a history of studies done. I still think they should be well past this stage with the time frame that has expired. They should at a minimum in process of gathering assets to drill/mine with the specific location already determined. I think this is slow because they are out of their are of expertise.
Oh yeah, the company doing the testing for them isn't a new company but the same one who has been doing the tests over the last 1-2 years for them.
Not sure if you are aware of the work involved in establishing a brand new mine but all of these tests are needed, you can't just go dig a hole and hope for the best. These tests establish where the best/safest area to establish a mine is.
As far as why aren't they doing the test themselves, it is far cheaper to outsource this kind of exploratory work then hire your own workforce, train them, pay them pay for their benefits, pay taxes and pay for things such as unemployment and workmans comp.
I hope this answered any misconceptions and issues you have with the process and eases your mind as an investor.
News release today showed Management's lack of concern for shareholders and a total lack of competence. Is this all Management could achieve since its last PR--- ????? Sign up another company to study what they should do ????? What about the last study and the study before. Why are they mining and drilling yet? Total incompetence along with superior procrastination skills. I see why Rio Tinto pulled back on their contemplated acquisition.
John Meyers was promoting this at $1.50 a year ago & it has just tumbled. I am not even sure there up their drilling now?
I think that my assessment was pretty right on.
Not being a shorter, I of course did not fall for the fake. And not that it is comforting at all, but I think that most everyone realizes that between market corruption, manipulation, Federal Reserve printing cash as though it had value and dollars racing away from the micro and small caps to a large degree, that traders are getting hosed down double time under the watchful eye of the Federal Government. So what do I think of my assessment? Yes, shorting would have been the play for profits.
Hello Johnny4profits, after a year now what do you think?
It is my understanding they are in the process of arranging financing for their mining effort. I believe it is taking longer than planned to determine reserves available for mining and in arranging for consulting on mining operations. I believe the company they are working with on financing mining ops will be taking stock for payment at 16 cents per share.
Does anyone know anything about what is happening with this company???
I havent heard or seen anything.
AMPW- Nice weather in montana when are they going to start drilling . Has anybody heard anything. We need some NEWS or something.

they said in a PR that bad weather will slow them up. soooo by that statement.... when the weather starts getting better, we should hear more. Not that they cant suprise us with something anytime. GLTA
I wonder if the activity will pick back up in the spring...thoughts anyone?
that would be great. but how long ago was that. must have been close to a year ago. getting ampw up and running would help keep buffets rail lines nice and busy. at this point tho, anything close to a buy out would be good. im long ampw, but then again i have to be to get my money back. good luck to all involved.
I previously read that Warren Buffet and Bill Gates had looked at AMPW's operation and had interest in the companies coal. Has anyone heard any further news regarding a company take over, on Buffet's part?
