Really strange I agree. This isn't a stock being pumped by the company or anyone else. It is a stock that you either choose to invest in or you don't. What would be the motive????? If you feel it isn't a good investment then don't invest. Noboby is telling you to.
So you just created an account and thought you would voice your concerns on a stock you would not take a chance on? Seems legit.
Border disputes have defined this area close to the concessions. I never said IFNY's concession was located in the disputed waters. The point was, it needs to be acknowledged that this area may become unstable as it is surrounded by countries which not only exhibit indignation for each other, but are known for their imperialistic and expansionist's political ideologies. These are countries whose very existence is synonymous with dictatorships, corruption, and a sometimes overt disdain for the United States.
Regarding the ICJ's ruling, Columbia's President Santos has snubbed his nose at the ICJ. And "85 percent of Colombians believe that the ICJ ruling should be ignored, even if this means military confrontation with Nicaragua"(World Politics Review). And because Santos is up for re-election in 2014, his bid may prove futile if he lays idle on the matter.
My concerns have less to do with these matters than the following:
- The arrogance and untouchable essence of the Nicaraguan government. One such example referenced in my previous post - The government used armed men to take control of an Exxon fuel storage terminal. That a third world country (developing as it may be) would show such indifference to an American based, oil and gas leader, is writing on the wall.
- The potential of other blocks and concessions being dealt out, thus making INFY's concession just one of many for potential partners to choose from. A potential partner may choose a company that can contribute its share of capital to the project.
Once again, these are only observations for consideration. Facts do not always produce truth.
As for "clawmann" referencing that my previous post was my "first and only post", at some point in time he also had his first and only post. I sincerely hope he was not reproached or debased for it.

IFNY's concession is not in the waters disputed by Columbia.
BTW, Columbia lost the dispute at the ICJ.
I noticed this is your first and only post.
Nicaragua to divide 150 additional blocks (sell off these in concessions) Their loyalty will not be to U.S. based companies. Only 6 years ago they took control of one of Exxon's fuel storage facilities claiming unpaid taxes on imports. This is how they operate. Forget the agreements and contracts. Where is BP...Exxon...ConocoPhillips? They could have been there if they wanted to be. I think they knew better. Noble is a cowboy on the frontier (and a great one) but they may have been short sighted in this venture. And if so, 30 million to explore(a small pittance for them) was worth the shot. And briefly regarding the Columbia/Nicaragua territorial dispute, if Columbia decides it doesn't want the drilling to continue, they are done. Columbia has 10Xs the military and Nicaragua cannot adequately police those waters. Some reading material:

All it lacks is flavored syrups
You're right. I can see now that it's a snow-cone maker.
Ugh, that is NOT A DRILLING RIG...
I saw that. I personally think we will see some preliminary results by the end of October. But all we can do is wait. And if the results are 1/100th of what they think is there then we are in for something crazy.
It is VERY rare to be able to get in on something like this on the ground floor. It isn't a pump stock or anything close. I was lucky enough to get tipped off on this by a friend about 2 years ago as I live her in Overland Park, KS where the headquarters is located.
The potential is not even comprehendible. If the results are just 50% of what they are confident is down there that would realistic make our PPS $75 without a doubt.
We shall see.

IMHO
The caption under the photo says that it is expected the well will be finished in 90 days. Mid-November. I hope its a gusher.
Awesome that the article mentions IFNY as well. That rig is just ridiculous. Massive!!!!
This is going to get REALLY fun!!!
IFNY
Noble’s rig is on site.

Keep an eye out for Noble Energy's results. That will get the real party started.
Nice run here - should continue tomorrow
Yes it is. I've been following for only 3-4 years, and have noticed how under the radar it is! Hopefully soon that will change.
I am really surprised that the momentum players have not appeared on this board. The following on the Y board is also pretty thin. This stock is really under-followed.
Getting crazy again.
Lucky I picked up a couple thousand more at the open.
And now the profit taking from the flippers. Love it. Not going anywhere. The real fun won't come for a while. I would guess late 4th quarter or early 1st quarter before Noble releases the goods that will change IFNY's world.
WOW! Are you watching Level 2 on this? They are lined up green all the way up. Something is happening behind the scenes I would have to think. Someone knows more than we do...........
Agree on the 2d deal as well. Of course I still think all that is just necessary prodecures that we have to do, but will be irrelevant once all of the Noble results come to light. We will be swallowed up. And if the numbers are even a fraction of what it is looking like, we will be rewarded big time.
Noble said it will hit total depth in its first hole in Q4.
If they start drilling in September, it should take no more than 6 weeks.
If they hit IFNY could move big.
Also, I expect we will close the 2D mapping deal that was discussed on the CC this month.
It is smoking now. Big money flowing in. Have to be in before the Noble results start coming out I think. I am keeping a close eye on Noble from here on out. Once it hits this could get crazy very fast.
$2.40. Close to the 52 week high of $2.43.
I think we will be over $3 by the end of the month.
Fortunately this board, like IFNY, does not have many followers....yet. The next few weeks may well be the last opportunity at anything around $2.
Noble will start drilling by mid-September and results from the first hole should be in no later than the end of October. If Noble hits, you can definitely kiss $2 IFNY goodbye.
BTW, we have had a total volume of 385,000 shares over the last three sessions. That is 7X the average of the prior 10 sessions.
Sad deal for those that dumped. The numbers on this are staggering in regards to potential. And if you listened closely in the teleconference, IFNY will never get to production. When Noble posts the results of their well adjacent to IFNY's there will be stupid amounts of money being thrown at IFNY for their claim. The share price at that point in which it would be bought out????? Could be crazy. Keep an eye on Noble over the next 6 months, IMO.
Infinity Energy Resources, Inc. (OTCQB: IFNY), an independent oil and gas exploration and development company, today announced that it has received strategic partnership offers from two global geophysical service companies regarding seismic exploration and development activities on its 1.4 million-acre oil concessions offshore Nicaragua in the Caribbean Sea.
"To date, we have received and are evaluating offers from two major international geophysical service companies, and we anticipate receipt of an offer from a third company within the next few days," stated Stanton Ross, Chief Executive Officer of Infinity Energy Resources, Inc. "If we accept one of these offers and are able to enter into a definitive agreement, as contemplated, our new strategic partner would agree to commence shooting at least 1,000 kilometers of additional 2-D seismic before the end of 2013. We believe this additional seismic mapping would allow Infinity and its geological and geophysical consultants to more effectively identify the most attractive initial drilling prospects beneath its 1.4 million-acre Tyra and Perlas concessions in the Caribbean Sea offshore Nicaragua. We consider the proposals to be favorable for Infinity and its shareholders, and they involve equity stakes of no more than a 20% stake in the Nicaraguan project. In addition to the seismic shoot, both parties have agreed to lend the expertise of their technical teams to the processing and interpretation of seismic data derived from mapping activities."
"We consider a strategic partnership with a global geophysical company the best path at this time to further enhance the value of our offshore Nicaraguan oil concessions, while awaiting initial drilling results from Noble Energy and Repsol S.A. In recent news releases, Noble has stated that it intends to begin drilling the first well on its 1.8 million-acre concessions, which are located directly east of and adjacent to our concessions, in August 2013. In recent weeks, media reports have revealed that Spanish oil giant Repsol, which has a presence in 30 countries, has been negotiating with the Nicaraguan government and also intends to commence drilling its initial well in the Caribbean Sea next month," concluded Ross.

What I have read is that Infinity is required to commence 3D mapping activity within a relatively short amount of time after EIA approval, which happened on April 13. I cannot recall whether they have 90 days or some other deadline; but I do recall that the time limit is not very long. So IFNY will have to have some sort of financing in the very near future.
From the most recent 10-Q filed on May 20, 2013.:
"Phase II of Sub Period 1 started April 13, 2013, when the Nicaraguan Government approved the environmental impact study. The minimum cash requirements for the next twelve month period will be $1,894,000 of which $1,634,677 is related to seismic and $259,300 is related to the training and area fees under the concession. See Note 1 for discussion of Going Concern. The Company estimates that the actual cost of seismic for the acreage will be $4,000,000 over the next 18 month period.
We plan to raise capital to satisfy the foregoing needs through an offering of our equity or debt securities and/or through a commercial relationship with other industry operators, which may involve the granting of revenue or other interests in the Nicaraguan Concessions in exchange for cash and a carried interest in exploration and development operations or the creation of a joint venture or other strategic partnership. There can be no assurance that we will obtain such funding or obtain it on terms acceptable to us. Further, if we cannot meet our obligations respecting the Nicaraguan Concessions, we will lose our rights to them."
Maybe this month but in what year ?
Exactly. Don't get me wrong the EIA approval is a VERY big deal and isn't just something that can be obtained easily by some joke of a company. So that is great news that it is finally done.
But yet again, we now have the "months" word being thrown around. And to IFNY that means 4-6 months usually before an update. So I do feel good about what is to come. But I wouldn't be holding your breath for an update any time soon.
Ifny announces that its EIA is approved.
But in the PR, there is this:
""Approval of the EIA by the Nicaraguan Government follows an investment in excess of $500,000 by Infinity over a period of more than two years," continued Ross. "With such approval now in hand, we expect our discussions with potential partners to become considerably more active in the coming months. Recent conversations with potential partners and seismic companies provide us with confidence that Infinity may be able to commence 3-D seismic mapping activities later this year. Upon completion and evaluation of our seismic mapping program, we intend to move forward to timely update our EIA in hopes that initial drilling activities may begin in late 2014."
This is very different than what Ross was saying repeatedly about getting a partnership deal done by the end of Q1 2013.
:)
Unfortunately I was right. I am back in with waaaay too much and I am sick to my stomach once again that the days go buy with no updates on anything. The teleconferences are just a joke anymore. Why throw out crap about events almost certainly happening in the first quarter. And then as always there is nothing for months and months. Comical. the potential is still mind boggling for sure, but I am not sure I will live long enough to see it.
Losing my ass here. Day to day
We are day to day at this point. There is a hard deadline in mid-April when those short term notes mature. I cannot believe that Jack would have agreed to such a short term if he did not have absolute confidence that the deal would be done. So he was off by a week or two. Slippage happens.
And this happening when this stock could be $ 5 a share " SOON " and even possibly $ 15 at year end. Guess investors are not convinced at this time.
The month has ended and now it's April. Maybe this month, or next month, or 2016 ? I'll mark my calendar.
More selling everyday. Was told this is a buy at 2.20. I guess now its an amazing buy? Are they doing anything?
There will be a partnership/joint venture. No doubt about it. And it will be very good for the investors in this stock. The only other option is a highly dilutive capital raise. We all understand that the partnership/jv option is the best possible option for current shareholders.
The JV deal should take us over $5 (at a minimum) and if Noble strikes oil this year in its concession next door (Noble starts drilling around September), the price could easily hit $15 by year end.
If you think shorting is a good idea, go ahead. I'd like to get some more cheap shares.
40K AVG shares traded per day. And some big players are getting into this. LOL
Looking at the chart it's reached it's peak for this run. I'd short this stock
