#201643 RE: funeralgirl #201642

I'm sure there is more interest than I am aware of. I have looked for industry numbers, but never seem able to find any data on these types of products. I read, not long ago, that both Matthews and Batesville were investing in unrelated industries because the personalized funeral product interest was decreasing year after year and they were also getting hit by overseas entrants into the market. Maybe it comes down to their "marketing efforts". I live not far from EI's "headquarters" (I think it might be a mobile phone now), and in calling several funeral homes in their backyard that belong to a huge chain, not one had heard of EI. Additionally, I was at, and visited the owner, of a huge human and pet crematorium not far from EI's office, and they too had never heard of them. A small sampling, but I don't think they ever made a small wave, let alone a splash, in this industry that they were going to be a market leader in. And I still don't understand the logistics of how I get a St. Louis Cardinal casket to Monday's viewing and Tuesday's/Wednesday's funeral if my fathere unexpectantly dies on Sunday. Do you hold off on the funeral, or do you buy the casket in advance and store it in your closet? I have never heard this explained well. With EI's history of time frames, I would never put something of this importance in their hands.
