What Does Parking Mean?

A form of kiting shares that a brokerage commits by moving long positions in unrelated accounts to cover short positions that are improperly settled according to SEC regulations.

When parking shares, brokerage firms are attempting to cover undeclared short positions left over from transactions whose stock was not delivered by the settlement date. Rather than performing a buy-in transaction, these firms collude with one another and, by delaying the settlement process, inflate the number of shares available for trade in the secondary market.

Me thinks that these guys have gone into hiding or at least are keeping a low profile for now. Qualico Capital appears to be defunct and Emerging Issuer is, well, a joke at best. jmo

I said it before and I'll say it again...It's like the Wild West out there and someone kidnapped the sheriff. We need the sheriff back in town!!!

Everyone should make their concerns known to the SEC. I believe they will now take some action.

rumor:Yellin wanted more $$$ & if not-threatened to leave and "cause trouble"

a lot of rumors flying about this guy: lost a ton in his personal portfolio, then his family took a huge loss w/ Madoff. He owes everyone $$$$ from the tax man, to the bookie and when Ribotsky refused to pay him more $$$$- he left, took a copy of the whole portfolio and started shorting, parking and soliciting clients for 504 transactions - encouraging everyone he could to sue NIR by lying about "fraud"

- has anyone else heard these rumors????
