I'm not sure of any specific rules. I usually use the QUOTE function to show quoted text, or enter it like this.

"... quoted text here..."

I will quote the part that is relevant to my reply.

It could be considered a TOS violation to manipulate quotes to make it appear someone said something other than what they actually said.

It's all about the context. If one is quoting another poster in a manner which makes another poster the topic then it's probably eligible for removal.

On the other hand, if the quotation is in the context of relaying information about the company, it's probably going to be good to go.

Before posting the quote simply ask yourself: "Am I posting this because I'm thinking of the company, or am I posting it because I'm thinking about that other poster?"
