My guess is the app (or whatever the hell they're calling it) looks at words in the posts that are considered positive or negative and uses those to come up with the "metrics"... cripe I hate that corporate management buzzword. I sincerely doubt that the tool's chart has anything to do with the stock's performance in and of itself. They're just trying to gauge the mood of the people posting about it.
Admin or the Geek squad are the ones who should be answering these questions. Meanwhile, just ignore the thing or try to find the humor in it.
If the algorithm determines "sentiment" by the number of positive vs. negative posts the only purpose can be to encourage even more posts by promoters, etc.
Everything is about increasing posts since the # of clicks are what determines the ad-buy rates.
