STOCK_GAINER6, I agree to an extent. How about if we could write a list of say, 5 public companies who have had investors who have held the longest over a period of time; wouldn't you feel comfortable putting General Electric Co. (GE) on that list? I know I certainly would. This isn't a stock that investors hold for a year or two, this is a stock that investors hold for many years. This is a stock that investors use a Dividend Reinvestment Plan (DRIP) with. I feel patience is the least of the concern. What would cause investors to lose patience?

I won't speculate weather (GE) will hold it's valuation over time. We can see that (GE) can adapt with spin-offs which will change valuations. I haven't executed enough due diligence here with (GE) to collaborate on your last point, please expand on your comment of "Interesting to discuss is also their various classes of investment products, which seems to undergo a onsiderable change as well."
