last news says its a share exchange for Boomchat, which sounds like it intends to compete with Snapchat and Whatsapp.

An exciting space because Snapchat was recently offered 3 to 4 billion for a buyout (they turned it down) and FB just bought out Whatsapp for 16 billion. (some reports show it as 19B)
