I have not looked closely at the CHINA effect, other than they are a BIG importer of iron ore.
Is there overexpansion of commercial building space? What exactly is being built with the material?
Easy credit and low carrying costs promoted overbuilding?
Don't know. It does appear that China with be buying a higher percentage of higher quality ore as a result of air pollution issues.
