The Winterhawks owner is a Calgary business man and his team backs SFBR technology.

Coincidence? Maybe. But what do you think the odds are that there's some connection between Mr. McNall (Ex-owner of the L.A. Kings) and their Northern neighbor, the Portland Winterhawks? Hmm.. Some more digging.
