I just had a long conversation with E-Trade about SGCP. They confirmed that SGCP still has the DTC Chill and they can't trade it. I was going to try to buy some 2's just to double everyone's portfolios and get some smiles.

They told me that if a brokerage does trade this then they won't be able to close the trade or settle it. They would be stuck holding it.

I asked him how can a broker show these large BIDs and ASKs if they can't trade it? Again he puts me on hold to talk with someone in corporate and returns saying that once these brokers realize that they can't trade or close then they should remove these BIDs and ASKs.

But then says, "sometimes these do come back to life so keep watching it and maybe someday it will, but right now, e-trade can't trade it."
