Like any successful salesman, I wanted to be convinced what I am selling is legit and does what it claims. That didn’t take long. After 1 day of use in my office (roughly 2,000 square feet and 14 employees) there was a noticeable difference in the air quality. It’s difficult to explain exactly but the air feels crisper, smells pure, and increases productivity in my office. One of the employees in our accounting department recently approached me to let me know about an issue I was unaware of. She had been dealing with daily afternoon headaches that she assumed was associated with the lighting.
Since we have had the UV Flu operating, she no longer suffers from these distracting pains and is obviously a happier and more productive employee. It seems that she was more sensitive to the air quality than the rest of the staff, but it brings me joy knowing that she no longer has to worry about this daily dreaded fate. The ambient noise given off by the UV Flu is also something my employees and I enjoy. We adjusted the setting to a mid-high level and the noise it produces eliminates the occasional uncomfortable silence if we are all hard at work and not on the phones. We have added a second UV Flu to our office for adequate coverage and the 24 hour continuous use seems to work well for us. We never have to worry about turning the unit off and we are all happier working in a cleaner bacteria-free environment. I have not had an employee out sick since we introduced the UV Flu to our office. This is a HUGE benefit for us as we always seem to have the papers stacked high. The unit is pays for itself if three days of sick time are avoided in my office. We are going on two months with no time lost to sick days. That is quite the feat here in New England as we muscle our way through the cold/flu season.
I have been presenting the UV Flu to VA facilities in my territory with our ultimate goal of getting a unit in every patient room to promote healing and provide the healthiest conditions possible. “My wife has suffered from a severe allergy which some times causes bronchial constrictions, this occurs twice a year during the allergy season, since we live in North West Washington, DC in the vicinity of Rock Creek Park this is a major discomfort.
