The biggest problem SD has (and the article barely notes it) is the debt service. SD has a tough time maintaining cash flow to service debt. That's why even though the company is operationally profitable, they have a hard time posting positive earnings. If rates should rise sharply coupled with a sharp decrease in oil price, SD is bankrupt.
So I guess what I'm saying, is that the risk factor is what is keeping share price depressed.
