TORONTO — Canadian miners remain a resilient bunch.

Despite suffering through a period of mediocre metal prices and weak financing conditions, they packed into the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in their usual huge numbers on Sunday for the first day of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) conference. It is the mining sector’s biggest annual event, drawing more than 30,000 attendees last year...“We know the market is down, but certainly not out,” said Santo Ranieri, an analyst at Paradigm Capital.
