I've had no time to dig in to the results. But clearly SD is shrinking into what should be a more effective company.

With the recent increase in oil and gas prices, it will be interesting to see the derivative effect on the 1st Quarter results. The cost to hedge can sometimes hurt when prices rise.

While it seemed SD treated gas like a pesky by-product in the past, I really think all the conversion to gas for heating and power generation that has been going on in the whole country during the last few years is going to turn that market around. SD had found it more profitable just to simply eat the contracts it had hedged with Occidental than to fill the quotas. Turning that cash outflow into a cash inflow could make a significant turn in the bottom line.
