The handwriting was on the wall for the GOP in '08 when the most unqualified candidate ever, Sarah Palin, was put on the GOP's National ticket and when Pres Obama won, teabaggers came out of the woodwork. The GOP has only themself to blame for the t's success...in 2010 they wooed them and tolerated their down-with-the-government nonsense/racists element - they helped the GOP take over the House of Rep, so all was good. Now that the t's have tasted power there may be no stopping them. It will be interesting to see what happens to Mitch McConnell in Nov, and what happens to the GOP going forward.
