The repayable contribution has acquired a new machine that can dry and disintegrate different types of manure and several other materials. The company is the only one in Canada to hold the camera, worth $ 650,000.

"In recent years, we sold our entire dehydrated chicken manure," says Simon Beauvais, owner of the poultry business Eggs Golden. "We bought a lot from the outside, then the market is growing, it was decided to engage in other kinds of manure, such as turkey and chicken, which is found in greater quantity than manure chicken, "he says.

To handle a large amount of fertilizer faster, Simon Beauvais became interested in the Micronex KDS, a machine that can dry and pulverize any type of manure, but also other raw materials such as bark, hay and same rock. "It will allow us to offer our customers guaranteed delivery dates, because often I had a lot of manure, but it was not dry enough and we had a hard time putting it into granules because its moisture and shape, "he says.

Came to Val-d'Or to announce the investment, the Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions, Denis Lebel, praised the potential of Golden Eggs. "There will be more export opportunities. Improved technology and productivity will lead, I think, to great results. I would not be surprised to see them grow even more, "he said. From his side, Simon Beauvais is grateful for the financial support it has received. It allowed him to proceed more easily deposit required and make the necessary adjustments and tests before starting production.

Next Steps

By the end of next summer, the company expects to meet its production target of 5,000 tonnes of manure Eco-Nature, which will be sold to organic farmers. In addition to fertilizers, Golden Eggs also manufactures wood pellets for domestic use. Its factory, which can produce up to 20,000 tons per year, will be further exploited through Micronex KDS. "We're going to use a little more scarce raw materials such as bark and straw, to more industrial granules. It will help us develop other markets with this material there, "says Simon Beauvais.
