A bit of trivia regarding the phrase "Short and Distort":

That's why every time I hear that phrase, as the original target, I get nostalgic... not to mention envious. The term is pretty much 100% used as an alibi for a pump and dump, which means the recipient is essentially being congratulated for a job well done exposing one. Hats off to everyone here being accused of such, and Welcome to the Club!
