White Castle, McDonald's test touch-screen ordering
A renovated White Castle restaurant in Columbus, Ohio, boasts two touch-screen kiosks that customers can use to personalize their orders at their own pace. In Laguna Niguel, Calif., a McDonald's restaurant is testing tablets on each table that provide the same kind of service. Similar systems are increasingly available in Europe and other countries, feeding younger consumers' higher expectations, Technomic's Darren Tristano said.
