Here is something really exciting that Mr. James sent a link to me via email and that nutrition21 already posted this morning. It was this link to the Cinderella Patch where they talked about the Martha Stewart Essentials(See article below).

In the article they mentioned a couple things that really got me thinking. The first one was when they stated: "I think that this might be the first vitamin to have such a familiar face on the label". This is much bigger than many are giving it credit for. In a day and age with so many vitamins to choose from, this is the first with such a recognizable picture on it! This branding with Martha Stewarts picture is the first of it's kind in this category and will go a long way in getting repeat sales and drawing in the retiring baby boomers who have followed Martha for many years and will relate to what she is endorsing, especially given the fact of how good she looks for her age. This is sure to help distinguish this line of supplements from so many others out there on store shelves.

The second thing was something that got me really thinking about the future possibilities and where the Martha Stewart deal could take us. The article mentioned: "Now that we have Martha Stewart Essentials I want to know what's next on the horizon....make-up? hair products? perfume?". Could these be future expansion ideas for NRTI to run with? We don't know for sure, but if Mr. James and his leadership team do a good job with her Martha Stewart Essentials Supplements line, I would think they would have the inside track, if Martha looks into expanding her brand into these other areas. The realm of possibilities that could come from this is mind boggling and something to definitely consider for the future imho.

Anyways, I just wanted to share this with you all and get your feedback on it. I think we have a huge winner on our hands here! Cheers!

Eponymous Vitamins? Martha Stewart of Course!

Have you heard that a new line of eponymous vitamins has been launched this month? (I've been dying to use that word for ages, soooo English and so ubiquitous in the mags these days.)

This month Martha Stewart added a line of vitamins to her ever-growing list of lifestyle products that carry her name. It's the Martha Stewart Essentials line of supplements. There are a gazillion brands of vitamins out there (none of which stand out to me) and I think that this might be the first vitamin to have such a familiar face on the label.

Yup - designer vitamins by Martha. And not just one vitamin. Many sorts of vitamins tailored to your age, lifestyle and health.





Now that we have Martha Stewart Essentials I want to know what's next on the horizon....make-up? hair products? perfume?


Perfume is usually the first step into brand extension in the fashion world.... Martha has done it all her way so who knows maybe she has that in her plans next?

For now I'll be trying out the women's multivitamins but I'm hoping she has some plans to shake up the Beauty market.
