NLASCO Announces Company Name Change to National Lloyds Corporation (9/18/13)

Waco-based property and casualty insurance underwriter launches rebranding effort

WACO, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--NLASCO, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hilltop Holdings Inc. (NYSE: HTH), announced today that the company changed its name to National Lloyds Corporation. This change is part of National Lloyds Corporation’s overall rebranding efforts that include redesigned logos for the company and its subsidiaries, as well as a new National Lloyds corporate website.

National Lloyds Corporation, an insurance holding company with origins dating to 1948 and based in Waco, Texas, is a niche property and casualty underwriter that is a leader in underserved markets in Texas and other Southern states. National Lloyds Corporation specializes in writing fire and homeowners insurance policies for low-value dwellings and manufactured homes. Policies are sold via independent agents through the Company’s two wholly owned subsidiaries: National Lloyds Insurance Company and American Summit Insurance Company.

“We have a large network of independent agents who market our insurance policies to their customers,” said Darren Parmenter, chief operating officer of National Lloyds Corporation. “We are excited to be able to support them with a professional, more sophisticated brand.”

The new name and redesigned logos are effective immediately. Agents can expect to see these changes on forthcoming forms and other materials. The new National Lloyds corporate website is expected to launch in the fourth quarter of 2013.
