can't believe it has not been posted here. Read and save

For what it is worth, I hear that the week long heat wave
in mid-July had more than a few environmentalists in DC
NYC, Philly and big cities in the NE more than a little
worried that the effort to destroy coal as a power plant
fuel might have been a bit hasty. Had they not purchased
additional power from Canada there would have been a
brownout or rationing for some areas. Since conversion
to gas is very expensive and NG prices are projected to
rise as the US gears up to sell LNG to Europe, coal will
continue to be vital to the nation for years after Obama
leaves office and is replaced by a President that knows
something about economics.
