I don't find it amazing that jurors found for Zimmerman as they did not hear two state witnesses who were both going to state that one could scientifically determine it was Trayvon's voice and the other saying he could not determine if it was Trayvon's voice but could exclude it being Zimmerman's. So what the jury was left with is dueling family members and friends saying it was their son's or friends voice. I had to laugh at the vietnam medic who said he wished he didn't have that ability but he does. How many would have testified that way if the state were allowed to call those experts.

Another was the drugs that George was on that the jury did not hear about - Temazepam and Adderall are drugs that have dangerous side effects. According to the U.S. National Library of Medicine,Temazepam, which is taken for insomnia can cause anxiety, hallucination, fatigue, nervousness, dizziness, aggressiveness and hallucinations. Adderall, which is taken primarily for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, can cause aggressiveness, delusions, hostility, anxiety and depression.

So he was armed with a gun and under the influence of drugs that makes one aggressive. Does anyone think Zimmerman would have approached Trayvon (which we heard happened from sworn testimony) unless he had a gun? Does anyone think Zimmerman would have pushed Trayvon first if he didn't have a gun (which we heard under sworn testimony)?

Of course in self-defense none of that matters - it only matters if the person can say they were frightened. It's up to the jury to determine if what Zimmerman was saying was reasonable and I don't think they had that ability.
