Why have we focused so much on the science behind foot care?
Most of what we currently know about foot care comes from science that is over 100 years old. Some of the original patents for the arch support devices that you currently purchase at your local drug store were filed at the turn of the 20th century! This science has not been re-examined since – in a study of articles in the Journal of American Podiatric Medical Association found that only 1% actually referenced scientific, evidence-based information – very few scientists are actually testing new theories on foot care.
