Why scoff at success? Mr. Laughlin is an extraordinarily talented, savvy and wealthy business man, a self-made man still young, not to mention a great addition to TEAM SKTO going forward. Allyn is assembling his top-notch SKTO team, executive by executive, for the long haul.

Mr. Roy Laughlin

Consultant
Mass 2 One Media

January 2006 – March 2013 (7 years 3 months) Los Angeles

Worked with Reg Johns, Founder and CEO of Mass 2 One to optimize the Loyalty Program for Media that our team at KIIS FM embraced as part of the station re-launch under Ryan Seacrest. In 2006, I worked with Reg again as a consultant to create a partnership with Triton Media for the loyalty program that eventually lead to a 2009 successful integration of the M2O engagement program into CBS Radio LA through the insights of CBS Radio President, Dan Mason. Today, the Loyalty Program for Media is on 1,000+ Radio and TV stations. Working with Reg and his team, we have a new interactive program incorporating Mobile which already has Media support and Advertising partners in Canada in advance of the public launch in 2013.

Radio Station Market Manager Los Angeles Clear Channel & Magic Broadcasting
LA Radio

August 1992 – March 2009 (16 years 8 months) As GM Operated KIIS, KOST, KFI, KYSR, KHHT, KBIG, KFI, KXTA, KLAC and KDAY/KWIE

As the GM of KIIS LA for a decade+, under 3 owners (Gannett, Jacor & Clear Channel), built teams that delivered increased cash flow each year. In January 2000, after the merger of AM/FM with Clear Channel, was selected to lead the 8 LA radio stations by Chairman Lowry Mays, CEO Randy Michaels and COO Bobby Lawrence.

The Clear Channel Merger called for combining 2 existing Clear Channel stations (KIIS & KXTA) with 6 previous LA competitors (KOST, KFI, KBIG, KLAC, KHHT, KYSR) which created a new paradigm. I promoted Charlie Rahilly to co market manager and together we built a merged LA cluster which included current CCLA Market Manger, Greg Ashlock, as a key leader on a team that delivered record cash flow on $300mill in revenue annually.

Record revenue was delivered through innovations such as: The 'Pay Your Bills' on franchise, A sold out Dodger Stadium sized Wango Tango, Inventory management with rate optimization internally and the integration of Laker / Dodger Radio Ad sales with non-sports programing to create attractive packages. Our team in LA also pioneered the 24/7 Christmas Music format in a Top 10 market on KOST shortly after 9/11 and hired unknown comedian George Lopeze as the Morning Host at Mega 92.3. The 2003 decision to add 'soon to be Mega Star', Ryan Seacrest, on KIIS FM in Morning drive proved to be a winning decision for years to come for CCLA (and for my wife, Ellen K, who has the privledge of working with Ryan on air at KIIS since sign on).

As an equitized LA Market Manager at Magic Broadcasting, Don McCoy and I spearheaded the sale of KWIE to Liberman Broadcasting for $25mill in 2007, which funded the dramatic KDAY signal improvement (move to Baldwin Hill). The signal upgrade along with the addition of Steve Harvey and a revitalized sales effort grew cash flow by 1000%+ in less than a year.
