sometimes I think the conservatorship was a planned scheme

to get something to supplement the lack of tax revenues for the government.... to lower its deficits.

They found it in FNF...

How did the TARP funds come into play? What was the consequence versus doing without it.

Who would take the brunt of the blame and how would the government benefit by this... after all, they are not doing it out of the goodness of their hearts....

After all, they tapped the auto industry and they don't produce enough to have kept them under, nor did AIG.... but the housing market is directly tied in with the economy and its recovery... hmmmm
