Hi, snowmens: Thank you for the public apology, for it takes a good man & a real man, (or woman?) to be able to do that. You shall be blessed if that is the way you always try to govern your heart. Now, back to BW, or ''KING Benton'' as some of the old RAGING BULL 'veteran' posters used to call him: The stock pretty much was run up on mostly speculation & hype circa that time, because as of then, they really hadn't made hardly any money at all, and were having a tremendously hard time trying to get the various AMERICAN power companies to retrofit their lines, cables & towers, etc, with CPTC's & CTC's products, NOT BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T BELIEVE THAT THEY WEREN'T GOOD PRODUCTS, BUT BECAUSE OF THE SIMPLY TREMENDOUS COST OF DOING SO. So, sales were not at all robust here in AMERICA. True, he had some, but not enough of them to keep them afloat financially, nor enough to really sell the various power companies. And besides that, CPTC had some pretty stiff competition
with 3-M & one other major supplier, whose name I forgot now. So, that's when they started looking to potential customers outside of the US, like China & NEW ZEALAND, etc, but even that just never could get going. Then there was the attempted hostile take over, by that corrupt bunch back in Michigan, the which court case, after almost a year during 2005 on up to March of 2006, CPTC won, and the judge, thank God, finally gave old Benton the opportunity to reorganize & restructure, the which even after that break, BW couldn't make it happen. And, as best as I understood it all ''way back then'', that is exactly why: ''Because of BW being the majority share holder with 51% of all of the stock, simply ran the company pretty much 'THE WAY THAT HE WANTED TO & THE WAY THAT HE THOUGHT WAS BEST'. And that was the general consensus of opinion about him. And then he got involved in that whole electric windmill venture, the which many share holders & some board members tried to persuade him not to do, BUT HE WENT AHEAD TO DO IT ANYWAY!

So, that is what I am driving at here: Yes, it is true that he lost a lot of money, because of how many shares of stock that he had. BUT HE LOST IT. HE HAD HARDLY ANYBODY ELSE OR ANYTHING ELSE TO BLAME, for one of the biggest complaints that a lot of investors had, is how 'imperiously' he acted, and how successful CPTC COULD HAVE BEEN, IF ONLY IT HAD HAD A BETTER CEO & A BETTER MANAGEMENT TEAM! They did have 1 or 2 who were good, who were on the executive board, who were genuinely admired for their knowledge & skills, but Benton was shrewd in realizing to surround himself with 2 or 3 who were like-minded with him. For just one more example that really PO many share holders, is when they were really struggling financially in the fall of 2009, because of the electric windmills & all of that fiasco, and then was able to finally sell that whole venture, when he doubled his own salary up from some $200,000+ a year to over $400,000+ a year! And he did a similar thing for 1 or 2 of his executive board members, as I remember, also. So, a lot of bad calls & bad decisions on his part.

I finally got out of it completely in February of 2010, when it's pps was circa .25-.27, and was heading lower, as most of the knowledgeable players saw that that was happening, and had been on a slow & gradual down slide from it's last major spike up to circa $1.70 in the fall of 2009, just after he had finally sold the whole windmill thing. But he blew the proceeds from that sale, and didn't properly reinvest it back into the company. So, after I got out of it in FEB. of 2010, I rarely checked in on it until late summer of 2011, after it had suffered, what I understood was a BK-7. I did have to go through the first BK-11, that first happened way back in MAY of 2005, and saw my stock drop from $2.65 a share, at that time, down to .37 a share! My wife & I were both devastated that night after I came home from work, for she was on line, and was looking at the stock, when sadly looked up at me, as I was standing there at her side: And she simply & sadly said: ''Does this mean that we lost all of our retirement money?'' And so, I rather sheepishly said: ''Well, it doesn't look good!''

At any rate, I lost a lot of money via that stock, but I can honestly & humbly say now, that I had no body to blame but myself, for the whole investing thing in the stock market is deceptively easy & simple looking on the surface, but it is anything but that!

So, when I finally checked in again on good ol' CPTC in the late summer or early fall of 2011, I was quite surprized to see that it had finally succumbed, and to the best of my knowledge, it was a full & complete BK-7. Now, I'm not gonna swear that it was, but to the best of my knowledge, it was. But then, in the late fall, I got wind that a group of Russian investors had bought up all of its assets & paid off its debtors, etc, and were seriously trying to turn the company around. And then, finally, by the early spring of 2012, it looked pretty good, and like some major volume days were starting to happen again for the new CPTC management team, that that's when I decided to invest in it once again, but not so much as before, just a few hundred thousand shares at first, when it was trading between .0015 and .0025, thinking: ''Well, maybe I'll finally get my $20,000+ back outta this old turkey after all!'' That's when it was selling typically for above .002, and even had some spikes up to .003+ and a couple up to .004+! When, ALL OF THE SUDDEN, the pps just started slowly going down until it got back down into the .0002 & .0004, range, etc, and pretty much stayed there for most of 2012 & this year, until lately, for whatever reason, when there FINALLY seemed to be some renewed interest in it, with a definite increase in volume. But so far, I have been unable to find out what the DD & FUNDAMENTAL REASONS for the same revived interest are for, but I DO MOST SINCERELY BELIEVE, that by their getting hooked up with GENERAL CABLE MAY JUST VERY WELL DO THE TRICK! It is a curious thing, but way back in 2005 through 2007, there was some concerted effort & interest to try and hook up with GENERAL CABLE even then, but as best as I remember, ol' BENTON wouldn't have anything to do with it, at that time, he still believing that he could do it all by himself! So, and after all of these years, here it is apparently happening all over again! And fortunately, this time, who ever the present management team is, apparently decided to go ahead & go for it! I sincerely hope that it works out for them and for all of us, too! GLTU, Snowmens & GBU! My goal is to slowly accumulate up to circa a million shares, so that, if it ever gets up to a nickel or a dime, that Susie & I will more than recover all the monies that we lost before, without such a large & foolish investment & risk as I did so many years ago! I don't allow myself to think too much about if it should ever get back up to the $3+ to $5+ range, but it could happen! Just as it once did it! And if it ever should, my 1 million shares bought at these sub penny prices will more than adequately provide for Susie & I the rest of our natural lives! The which, being as old as we are, I'm 68 & Susie's 78, and my wife is battlling malignant cancer, I don't know how much longer we might have to enjoy such a large amount of money, anyways! ''It's all in HIS hands!'' CIAO! Jaime

ps: I hope that the rather lengthy post might prove to be interesting to you. I had no plans at all to write such a long post! I hope that you won't be disgruntled about how long it is! smile
