How can you say shareholders "carried it through"?

Had the CEO taken a salary or not lent money to the company, it likely would have gone bankrupt and the shareholders of 2009 - 2011 would have lost their entire investments.

As it is, some of those pre-reverse buyers will break even, some may lose money, and some, like me (who didn't begin to buy shares until just before the reverse split,) will make a nice profit.
